You expect Rajkummar Rao to pelt out a wonderful performance every time he signs up for a movie. The man knows his craft very well and is just extremely relatable as an actor. The trailer for his new movie, ‘Newton’, just dropped today and the man is winning accolades again.

The movie is highlighting the problem of a dismantled election system in the country, especially in the rural sector and how it is hindering our progress as a political economy. Rajkummar is shown to be a stringent, law-abiding man and his journey begins when he is assigned a Naxalite area for getting people over there to vote.

The trailer gives an insight into the lives of people living in these backward areas, which don’t turn up to cast their votes because they fear it will cost them their lives. The movie also has Sanjay Mishra and Pankaj Tripathi playing pivotal roles.

The political black comedy takes a dig at everything that is screwed up with our perception as voters. Truth be told, we complain about election results and even justify how they are always tampered, but that is because we allow the parties to manipulate all the results. Rajkummar Rao represents the minority in our country who takes pride in their honesty and also want to be applauded for it.

The movie is all set to hit the screens next month. There is a wave of this particular genre of movie that support positive changes in the society and highlight what is going wrong with our country. Currently, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is ruling hearts with the chord that it has struck. Let’s hope these movies make the change they are trying to bring.

‘Game Of Thrones’ has ended its seventh season today and while digesting things will take some time, it is the ending that left us gasping for breath and some fresh air. Oh my god! We were waiting for the White Walkers to touch the wall the entire season and they totally made it worth the freaking wait.

Viserion was raised from the dead by the Night King himself and while people were waiting to see what happens, it now makes sense to understand that it was all a part of an elaborate plan by the dead villain to use the dragon for his own army. Tormund and the others are casually looking around when they see the dead army marching. Panic did strike hard but all hell was let loose when the Night King comes flying on the dragon and off goes the wall. BOOM! Just like that.

How do you fathom it? The sad part is that this could mean the end of Tormund and his love life dreams that he was weaving for quite a while. The wall is now down, the army is descending to the other side and there is a very powerful dragon that spits icy fire, if that makes any sense. This means that danger is coming soon and in the next season we can expect some major shit going down. People are going to die and war is happening. Good thing for Jon Snow is that he has Targaryen blood and can even possibly survive fire. How do we deal with these withdrawal symptoms now?

The Stark Delight Of Watching This Season's Most Satisfying Death In 'Game Of Thrones'

There were numerous theories, many predictions, countless bets and so many calculations about that one major death of the finale. However, we were given the ultimate satisfaction after watching the death of Lord Baelish by the hands of Arya Stark. The wonderful tale of his death starts spinning when he tries to maliciously make Sansa believe that she is forever going to be threatened by Arya. The best part about this scene is that Sansa just allows herself to be manipulated.

Later, Arya is summoned in front of every one and the whole scene makes you believe that goddamn Lady of Winterfell has fallen prey to his deceitful malicious ways. You have got to give it to Baelish for him so convincingly conniving, that you adore hating his guts. So he is as usual smiling in a corner when Sansa starts throwing accusations in the air , all this while looking at Arya, until, she casually takes his name. You are baffled, Baelish is surpised, a look that is so not him. What I really liked about his death was the fact that there was no catharsis for us. We don’t really fee l sorry for him, he had to die, it was estimated that Arya will do it and so it happened.

The Stark sisters prove to you that blood is indeed thicker than malice and manipulation and honestly, Sansa owed this to herself and everyone. We are totally digging the new version of an evolved Sansa and hope she gets to kill someone herself (Theon?), before the series ends.

The finale has left us with a lot of questions. We are still digesting the information that sailed our way, making peace with a lot of things, feeling sorry for Jaime, anger for Cersei, love for Dany and Jon. Amidst all of this, you forgot one important character and one tiny bit of a scene that spoke volumes. I am talking about Tyrion’s grim expression when he witnessed Jon knocking Dany’s door.

So while this went by in a blink, there is a grim secret behind it that gives way to a few theories. Ahem! Please read on. According to an old letter written by Martin to his publishers, his initial plan was to make Jon fall for his own sister Arya. The original plan also includes that an exiled Tyrion falling for Arya and giving rise to a love triangle. That angle in the sense of the show is now taking shape between Khaleesi, Jon and Tyrion.

According to the books, he’s supposed to have many shades of grey after killing his father and Shae. The series was showing the opposite but maybe now that shall start reflecting. Also, if you go back in time, Tyrion did persuade Dany to let go off the two men who were in love with her, Sir Jorah and even Daario. He explains it to her that they were not the first one to love her and will not be the last one to love her.

Well, this could all fall in place in the next season because our first impression of Tyrion was that he is a drunkard who takes his wine and women seriously. This new compassionate side of his kinda is getting boring. This means that a rivalry will indeed brew between him and Jon. He might even betray them. Well, interesting times ahead.

If you haven’t watched the finale yet, please stop, you have been warned. If you have, then good for you. We are on the same (ahem) boat. Today’s finale pushed our emotions to the edge and without further delay I am going to dive right into one of the most important happenings that occurred in the finale. We finally know Jon’s real name! After waiting for a century, Bran decided to open up to Samwell and reveal Jon’s identity to him, including his real name, i.e- Aegon Targaryen. It turned out that Lyanna and Rhaegar were legitimately married and Bran also reveals that he is the heir to the Iron throne.

Do you know what that means? That he is not really the ‘King in the north’ because he is not actually a Stark. It means that he can ride a dragon and even survive fire which makes him extremely powerful.

The deliberate creepy part of this narrative is that while Bran and Samwell are having this conversation, Jon and Dany are busy having some boat sex. Yes, their relationship finally touches its peak and this blissful union raises many questions.

The first thought you might have is whether Dany will support his claim to the throne and grant him as a legitimate Targaryen? Will he eventually rule Westeros? (if they survive the war with the dead), and most importantly, will Danaerys bear a child with Jon?

It’s the final countdown to the end. I am talking about exactly what you have been thinking all this week. ‘Game Of Thrones’ finale is finally hours away from now and while I am extremely anxious, and excited, there are a few expectations I have from the finale. We all are seeking a few answers from the writers, we all want to know if we shall touch catharsis and which main character is going to die, will Dany give in to Jon, what happens to the ice dragon and what not!

Okay, so I decided to voice all our emotions and here is a list of everything we are expecting to witness in the finale:

1. Will Jon and Dany finally have a ‘moment’ ?

The chemistry is obvious, the fire is burning bright. He’s probably her nephew (we don’t care now) and he’s bent more than his knee. What happens to them now. I don’t want to wait for this romance to blossom in the next season. So if the makers want to break our heart with a break up or seize the day with them declaring their feelings, tomorrow is a good time to do it.

2. Cersei’s prophecy

There is much ado about what happens to the queen we all love to hate. Will Maggy’s prophecy show its colors, will Jaime kill his beloved sister himself? Will she betray him, and become the mad queen? Tell me or drop a hint please!

3. Is Bryan finally opening his mouth?

Okay, I have to admit. His silence is pivotal to the plot, but I am kinda annoyed with his behaviour. Please make him talk to Jon already! Stop dragging it. Is he the Night King really?! Please put him to some innocuous use and make us like him again.

4. The Arya-Sansa cold war

We loved it when the Stark sisters reunited and lately the tensed environment between them is becoming a melting point of a lot of tension. There are theories that one of them might die and it’s scary. Arya has a list of people to kill and Sansa has a dream to be on the top of a ruling house. Will the sisters unite or will they further divide? Cannot wait to know!

5. What is Baelish up to?

Okay, this man’s creepy smile is an award winning expression in itself. When he is not low key creeping out around Sansa, he’s plotting away something all the time. Will he die? All that he’s done has been the crux of all that followed. It is going to be extremely interesting to watch.

6. Will Samwell save the day?

This would be a cliché, but maybe it will be heart warming to watch this man who is now a very important character. Will he again learn something valuable and share it with Jon? What happens to him and his new found reservoir of knowledge now?

7. The Mountain vs the Hound

This is going to a very classy battle. The showdown has been getting us to the point where a major fight sequence between the two brothers is being anticipated.

8. Is anyone going to kill Theon Greyjoy?

Honestly, I couldn’t care less. Watching him die will be interesting because I really want to know who finally does it. He’s been running away from death for a very long time already. So while it’s going to be nail biting and exciting, we will be sad and in a comatose mode for a few weeks since GOT is not returning for a long time! Anyways, please stay away from spoilers and have a wonderful visual feast.

Okay, the ‘Judwaa 2′ trailer is not so bad and while we did find few inches of nostalgia in it and we kinda really missed watching Salman groove in it but nevertheless, Varun seems to have done a decent job.

However, the next litmus test happens when you start comparing songs between two versions of the same movie, right? Now everyone has danced to the building song and of course the ‘9 se 12′ was the jam back in the late 90s, so obviously, the expectations from this new movie were big. Firstly, before I dive into what I feel after watching Varun and Jacqueline tweak this song into something absurd, let’s just re-watch the original, please?

So now, coming to the problem of Bollywood rehashing every goddamn good song that ever existed. You wanted another version of ‘9 se 12′, cool I get it. Why did you have to tweak it so much to make it taste like 2017? It’s an old song, so please let the appeal stay intact!

You can’t help but compare the two videos and end up missing the natural, fun chemistry between Salman and Karisma. The movie is all set to hit the screens next month and only time will tell what fate lies in store for it. I like the new version and it’s one of those songs which we would dance to, when we are attending some Bollywood night at a club, late night, post 4 drinks. But if you ask me that will this version replace the old one in my memory, the answer is NO.

Hindi Sci-Fi Movie 'Carbon' Tells The Compelling Tale Of A Dark Future Without Oxygen That Awaits Us

The future is dark and full of terrors. While Hindi cinema is yet to have a compelling sci-fi movie that depicts the dark tale of what lies in the future, we have to give it to ‘Carbon’ for making an impressive attempt. Directed by Maitrey Bajpai and Ramiz Ilhan Khan, the movie tries to depict what life without oxygen would look like in 2067, and stars Jacky Bhagnani, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Prachi Desai.

Jacky and Nawaz play the characters of oxygen smugglers in the movie and while the script looks brilliant in the beginning, its gets lazy by the end. Jacky is a man with an artificial heart who is supplying oxygen in exchange for money, wants to move to Mars where people are living in 2067. The Earth is now full of carbon and people wear oxygen masks to survive.

Nawazuddin plays another smuggler who is on the Earth to buy Himalayan oxygen. Also, Prachi Desai is a computerised ‘refugee’ who was bought online.

The movie tells the dark tale of how life could turn in 2067 if we deplete all our resources here. I’ll give full marks for the attempt.

Great concept, well executed and decent acting.

There’s a tiny detail in the latest episode that might have escaped your sad eyes, since all of us were busy digesting what happened to the dragon. So when Jon Snow comes out of the iceberg, alive, he touches his sword, Longclaw, which is, err, actually alive.

The ‘Judwaa 2' Trailer Packs An Entertaining Punch Of Nostalgia & Looks Quite Promising

Everyone loved Salman Khan in ‘Judwaa’. At a time when Govinda was ruling the roost with his comic timing, Salman owned the scene with his frivolous act.

If reminiscence of the 90s is your thing and you still listen to the ‘building’ song then hold your heart. Varun Dhawan is packing a punch full of entertainment in ‘Judwaa 2′ and the trailer looks good!

The songs have been recreated, Karisma and Rambha have been replaced by Taapsee and Jacqueline but since the stakes are high, it is safe to assume that this one won’t disappoint.

Varun Dhawan cannot replicate the magic that Salman weaved but we have to give it to him for doing a pretty good job with his comic timing (don’t forget the hard work that shows in the form of his crazy body).
