Actress Sunny Leone says actor Ram Kapoor has a great sense of humour. Sunny lauded the actor after she shot two episodes of Discovery JEET’s “Comedy High School” along with Ram, who is the host of the show.

“It was fun shooting ‘Comedy High School’ episode with the entire cast, especially dear friend Ram Kapoor whom I met after a long gap. Ram has a good sense of humour and he makes me laugh a lot,” Sunny said in a statement. “I never felt like we were shooting, the flow of the show was just effortless,” she added.

Ram also had fun shooting with the “Ragini MMS 2” star. “I was very excited to shoot with Sunny Leone for the two episodes of ‘Comedy High School’ and the entire cast had a jolly time working with her.

“The best part is that we both share the same philosophy while shooting. We love to laugh and have fun while shooting and make the situation light. She is a fabulous human being, and it is super fun to work with her,” he said. The show also features Gopal Dutt, Paritosh Tripathi, Krishna Bhatt, Jasmeet Bhatia and Deepak Dutta. The episode with Sunny will beam on Saturday.

Shah Rukh on Thursday night tweeted a picture of himself and captioned: “Was watching one of my favourite stand-up… Chris Rock and he in his own inimitable style reminded me what life should be about…The quest to find God before God finds you.”

Rock is known for starring in Hollywood films like “Down to Earth”, “Head of State”, the “Madagascar” film series, “Grown Ups” and its sequel “Grown Ups 2”. Shah Rukh, 52, is currently busy with his upcoming film “Zero” helmed by Aanand L. Rai. It also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher has been invited to speak at the LSE SU India Forum (LIF) 2018 hosted by the prestigious London School of Economics (LSE). Previously known as the Economic Forum for India at LSE, it is a first of its kind conference in the UK involving keynote speeches and panel discussions on major issues facing contemporary India across a variety of fields.

The conference serves as a platform for students and professionals alike, to hear from and engage with inspiring leaders. Kher will address the students at the Old Theatre at LSE on Saturday. “It is a pleasure to speak to the students at the London School of Economics. By sharing my life experiences, I hope to motivate them to achieve their dreams, become successful individuals and most importantly responsible human beings,” Kher said in a statement.

The youth, he believes, are the future of the country. “They live in times of tough competition where certain failure is inevitable. The power of failure gave me the strength to succeed and it is our responsibility to help our youth realise this to be able to live life to its fullest,” he said. The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) Chairperson has featured in over 500 films like “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge”, “A Wednesday!” and “Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!”

Actor Bakhtiyaar Irani, who was last seen in Badi Door Se Aayein Hain and is now part of ‘Khichdi Returns’, is also part of ‘Tango with Tannaz’. The actor says that he is involved 100 percent with the show. “My involvement is as a producer, actor, spot boy. I have also directed two episodes and handled the production,” he says, adding, “Tango with Tannaz is a roller coaster ride for us. When we just think one episode is the best, we get another celeb giving us better content.”

The show is being produced under under Frog Lehrein and 2 The Point productions. Their next project is a short film called Behind Bars. Bhaktiyaar says that it’s fun working with his wife Tanaaz Irani. “Tannaz is a complete woman, super mother, super actor and above all a lovely person. It’s amazing to work with her,” he says.

Ask him how he feels to be on the producing side of the show, and he says, “Being a producer is 1000000times difficult than being an actor.” Meanwhile, the actor has been part of the TV industry since a long time now and feels that a lot has changed. “There have been tremendous changes. When I started in 2005, there was nothing like WhatsApp, Instagram and now, even if people shit or pee, it’s on Instagram. You need to follow these trends or just stay home. So, now even I do the same,” he says.

Clover Wootton, who designed the eerie look for actor Anushka Sharma in “Pari”, says she once lied about the actor’s role to Ranbir Kapoor. Clover, who is also working on the Dutt biopic with Ranbir, decided to trick the star into believing that his “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” co-actor was playing the character of a dog woman in the upcoming movie.
“Given that I’m working on The Sanjay Dutt biopic and Anushka being a very good friend of Ranbir, she had anticipated that he will be asking about ‘Pari’. Between us we decided to plan a prank on him. We decided to fill him in with some lies and see how far the story goes…

“So when Ranbir asked me about ‘Pari’, I told him that Anushka is playing a dog woman – half human and half dog. I went on to tell him how much she is working towards getting into her character, and how she is observing Dude (her pet dog) to get it all right,” the look designer said in a statement. Clover said she and Anushka let Ranbir be under the false impression, which resulted in her “Sui Dhaaga” co-star Varun Dhawan also falling prey to the Chinese whispers.

“After giving all that nonsense, we let Ranbir stew. After, four or five months, Anushka and I met again for ‘Sui Dhaaga’, which stars Varun Dhawan. And, the first thing he asked her was – ‘I heard you are playing a dog in ‘Pari’, how’s that going?’ “We still laugh our hearts out thinking about where it came from!” she added. Produced by Clean Slate Films and presented by KriArj Entertainment and Kyta Productions, “Pari” releases tomorrow. The movie, directed by Prosit Roy, will be released worldwide by Pooja Films.

Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman shared his moment of “catching up” with celebrated composer Hans Zimmer at the Oscar Concert here on Wednesday. Zimmer, the man behind the music of “The Dark Knight” trilogy, “Gladiator”, “Inception” and “The Lion King” seemed engrossed in conversation with Rahman — as seen in a photograph shared by the latter on Instagram.

“Catching up,” Rahman captioned the image. The Indian composer, lovingly called the Mozart of Madras, was suited and booted for the concert, where his hit score from “Slumdog Millionaire” was included in the line-up. “Getting ready for the Oscar concert with the LA philharmonic orchestra,” Rahman tweeted before the concert. He posed besides the golden Oscar statue.

Rahman had brought home two Oscars for the “Jai ho” composition for British filmmaker Danny Boyle’s film “Slumdog Millionaire” at the 81st Academy Awards. The concert, in the run-up to the 90th annual Oscars, was held at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, as part of a collaboration between the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Los Angeles Philharmonic.

It included the world premiere of suites arranged from all five original score Oscar nominees: “Dunkirk” by Zimmer, “Phantom Thread” by Jonny Greenwood, “The Shape of Water” by Alexandre Desplat, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” by John Williams, and “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” by Carter Burwell. The Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the second consecutive year, will be held on March 4 here. It will air live in India on March 5 on Star Movies and Star Movies Select HD.

DRecords, a music label run by popular singer Daler Mehndi and his wife Taran Kaur Mehndi, is coming up with a track on saving the girl child. Titled “Gudiya rani”, the song will be unveiled on International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8.

“Gudiya rani” has been composed, sung and written by Udit Shandilya, who started his career at an early age and has been trained in Indian classical music.

“‘Gudiya rani’ is a melodious song. It has been performed very well by this young rising star (Udit). Support him with your love. I request music directors in Bollywood to take note of this rising star,” Daler said in a statement to IANS.

The video features six girls who were selected through a contest on Facebook.

“Justin’s a classic ladies’ man and it has always driven Jen up the wall,” said a source.

Meanwhile, Aniston is said to be leaning on her former husband and actor Brad Pitt a lot following her recent split.

“What’s surprising about her separation from Justin is that one of her greatest supporters is her first husband. Brad Pitt turned out to be a true champion for Jen,” said the source.

“Brad and Jen have come full circle. It’s definitely getting serious again. I think their fans are rooting for them. In the end, doesn’t everyone just want Brad to be with Jen? They were meant to be back together,” added the source.

As many as 14 contestants of the non-fiction show Rising Star 2 will pay tribute to actress Sridevi, whose sudden demise shook the nation. Sridevi, who starred in about 300 films, died due to drowning in a bathtub in a Dubai hotel on February 24.

This weekend, the talent on the Colors show will take the audience down memory lane by performing on some of Sridevi’s songs, a statement said. Singer Alka Yagnik will also appear in the show as a guest judge.

“The concept of live singing is very appealing. I have judged many singing reality shows but ‘Rising Star 2’ is something very unique as it ensures maximum viewer engagement,” Alka said in a statement.
