The seductive and sensuous actress, Sunny Leone creates a storm on social media with her stunning pictures. The actress has now posted a few photos, which seemingly is a photoshoot for one of the lingerie brands. Dressed in a bikini, Sunny flaunts her curvaceous body.

Sunny Leone captioned one of her photos as, “Here’s to not holding back and just letting it go.” The artistic photo has got everyone appreciating her beauty. The comment section of the photo kept flooding with positive comments. Even, television actor Priyank Sharma couldn’t resist his opinion about the photo and complimented her. He wrote, “Ok that’s hot (sic).”

After posting these sassy pictures, Sunny posted an image with husband Daniel Weber. The couple’s image was from the Wankhede Stadium, watching T20 match.

On the professional front, Sunny will be seen doing a music video with Canadian producer and DJ of Indian descent, UpsideDown. He will be releasing his first solo single titled Got It All featuring fellow Canadian and singer-songwriter, The PropheC. The duo join forces for the first time, and they’ve roped in Bollywood actress Sunny Leone for the music video.

Apart from working in films, and being an entrepreneur, the actress is also shooting her biopic. Talking about which, a source had informed mid-day, “The first season, which consists of six episodes, traces Sunny Leone’s childhood and teenage years. The second part will highlight her career in the US and may even include her marriage to Daniel Weber. There is a possibility that Daniel will make a cameo in the series.” The makers, we hear, are hoping to release the second instalment later this year.”

Leone, who recently turned mother to twin boys Asher and Noah through surrogacy, says that the audience curiosity around her prompted the idea of the biopic. “A lot of people out there are curious to know who I am, where I have come from and what motivated the decisions I’ve made in my life. I want them to watch the show to know the real me, instead of harbouring the perception that they have created in their minds. I can’t reveal much about the second season as we have just started shooting,” says the actor, who burst on the Indian entertainment scene with Bigg Boss in 2011 and went on to pursue a career in Bollywood. While a child actor has been roped to essay the young Leone, the actor will be seen playing herself for a major part of the narrative. Leone admits that reliving her journey, albeit for the cameras, has not been easy.

“Since my parents passed away many years ago, we brought in two actors to play them. It has been particularly difficult to shoot the scenes with them. I thought I would be fine, but when we started rolling, I realised I was not emotionally prepared. No one would be fine reacting to emotional and traumatic moments. Going through them once again was a challenge. There were times when I broke down.”

In an exclusive interview with Sunny, she shares her birthday plan, and many other interesting things with mid-day online

Sunny Leone
Sunny Leone with husband Daniel Weber and three children, Nisha, and twins Noah and Asher

Sunny Leone has proved that she has more to herself. The mother of three children shares her own birthday on the beautiful ocassion of Mother’s day. mid-day online exclusively got in touch with Sunny to ask her about her birthday wish, life post parenthood, her biopic and so on…

Excerpts from the interview:

What do you wish for on this birthday?

Like every year, I don’t wish for much other than the day to pass. I know this us not the answer you are looking for but I’m not the type of person who is into birthdays. The only thing I always wish for my family is to be happy and healthy. There are only two people in my life that I expect a happy birthday wish from. They are – my brother and my husband, Daniel Weber. But I do appreciate all the love I get from my fans because it’s usually very genuine and so sweet.

Can we say this might be your best birthday, now that your family is complete?

Yes, that is very true. So, it will be the best birthday ever to be with my family on my birthday and Mother’s Day together.

Is there any particular ritual you follow on your birthday?

No rituals.

What is your idea of celebrating an ideal birthday?

A nice dinner and maybe do an activity. Last year Daniel planned a surprise party with all our friends at a bowling ally, it was awesome.

Any special plans this year?

I will be on a plane with my whole family heading back to Mumbai.

A birthday gift you’ve received, which is very close to your heart?

An emerald pendant that Daniel made for me was very special.

Now that you are a mother yourself, what are the qualities or lessons that you’d like to impart to your children?

I just want them to be good human beings and have compassion for others always.

Has life changed after embracing motherhood or it’s the same or maybe have you evolved as a person?

Life has definitely changed but I am the same person, who is just able to spread more love to my family.

Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber

How has motherhood shaped or re-shaped your life?

Well, I like to assume I’m pretty good at time management and multi-tasking now (laughs).

How are you and Daniel as a couple adjusting to the new phase in your life?

It’s definitely a phase that we have never been in and we are adjusting like probably most couples do, with a lot of patience.

It’s a coincidence that your birthday falls on mother’s day, so how does it feel?

It feels pretty cool.

A message that you would want to give out to all the mothers and the mothers-to-be?

As long as you are calm and collected, you can get through almost everything. Just stay calm and figure out the steps to achieve what’s needed and not panic.

How was it reliving those moments while shooting for your biopic? Tell us about your experience.

It is the hardest time of my life and my heart breaks almost every day. I question myself why all the time, and then Aditya Datt (my director) shows me a clip of a scene, and then I see how beautifully he has made it. Then I remember that I am in good hands. He is the only one who could have shot this story. Everyone else would have butchered it for their own satisfaction of cinematography.

Daniel on why he won’t feature alongside wife Sunny in her biopic

Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber
Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber

As Sunny Leone’s biopic,Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone, is set to stream this month, the team has already begun shooting for the second season. Unlike Leone who is playing herself in the web series, husband Daniel Weber will not be bringing his character to life in the show.

Talking to mid-day about his decision, Weber says, “I gave it a thought initially. But I felt it would be better if I could use my time more efficiently working on the things I do on a day-to-day basis with our companies [than act]. I thought it wouldn’t be a great idea to commit 60-90 days of shooting, when I have so many other things to handle.”

The makers recently zeroed in on South African actor Marc Buckner for the role. Laughing that he “couldn’t think of a single suggestion” regarding who should play him, Weber says, “The team did look tests and screen tests in Cape Town, and roped in Marc. Right now, Marc is trying his best to understand the script. A major part of his work
includes dialogue training. Funnily, he is trying to ape my tattoos as well.”

Pointing out that Leone is a natural in front of the camera, Weber says that she is more adept at helping Buckner with the prep. “Sunny understands what the camera wants and what the audience will enjoy in a character. To get better insight, Marc sits with Sunny Leone every day before each scene to understand our dynamics as a couple. All I asked of him was to be confident on screen.”

Sunny Leone on why she feels she received brickbats earlier in her career

Sunny Leone
Sunny Leone

Hate mails and criticism were part of what Sunny Leone faced much before she made the transition from an adult film star to Bollywood. She says the brickbats didn’t come her way because she is in India, but due to the mindset of the society as a whole. Sunny’s life story is set to be unveiled in an upcoming biopic Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone.

“Many people have the misconception that people started criticising me when I decided to come to India, but that is not true. I started getting hate mails and criticism when I was around 21 years old.

“So it has nothing to do with the country, but society in general. That was the first time I faced real hatred,” Sunny told IANS in an interview.

The show Karenjit Kaur, which will soon start streaming on the OTT platform ZEE5, revolves around the journey of Sunny, who was born as Karenjit Kaur in a middle class Sikh family in Canada.

It will trace her transition from being a little girl to becoming an adult film actress and from there to her rise in Bollywood.

“Like many families, there are some problems in our family too. There is love, hate, emotional moments in all our lives, but our parents protected my brother and me from all the negativity, as much as they could.

“But at the age of 21, when you see people are saying really nasty things about you, it affects you so badly… I was vulnerable and broken from within emotionally,” said the actress, whose sensational dance moves have added glamour to songs like “Baby doll”, “Laila main laila” and “Pink lips”.

On how her parents dealt with the hate that came her way, Sunny said: “Reverse psychology always happens and that was definitely the case with me and my parents. They were thinking that if they forcefully stop me, I might just gain more curiosity and then I might not return from that world.

“Of course, I went to a different direction that my parents did not want me to… But I want to say that I love my life the way it is and everything happens for a reason. I have no complaints.”

Sunny’s big ticket to India came with a season of Bigg Boss, after which she landed her Bollywood debut with “Jism 2”.

Since then, the actress has appeared in several films like Ragini MMS 2, Ek Paheli Leela, Mastizaade, One Night Stand and Tera Intezaar.

She has also appeared in youth television reality shows like MTV Splitsvilla, Box Cricket League: Season 2 and Man vs. Wild with Sunny Leone.

Unapologetic about the choices she has made in life, Sunny says she is glad a show like Karenjit Kaur is an opportunity for her to express herself.

“When the producers of the show came to us almost a year ago, they wanted to unveil the real me. There is a curiosity about my life and there is a person who is not what you see on the internet.

“I know I could have kept my personal story to myself, but you see, through this show, I am actually getting a chance to express myself, my real self,” said the young mother of three children.

Sunny and her husband Daniel Weber become parents of three children – Asher, Noah and Nisha. They adopted Nisha, and their twin sons were born via surrogacy.

She wants them to enjoy the freedom of choice when they grow up.

“Adulthood is a phase where people become rebels at times and one cannot do anything with that, can we? As a mother, I want them to be good people who do not hurt anyone physically and emotionally.

“My kids should not cheat anyone, they should not steal from people… I may or may not agree with their choices in life but as individuals that is their choice. I think all I want as a mother is my children should not go through such hatred from the society that I faced,” she added.

Sunny Leone

She is no longer just an actor, Sunny Leone has ventured into more businesses than one can imagine. Last week, she launched her cosmetic brand, Starstruck. We hear that she is set to launch an interactive app for make-up.

A source close to the actor claims that Leone came up with the idea a few days ago and is trying to figure out the working of this yet-untitled app. “She wants to teach youngsters innovative ways of dolling up, being festive ready and doing make-up for every occasion.” The actor is still at the planning stage and it would take her a few months before putting things into action. “The app will not only provide make-up tutorials, but also make it possible for users to Facetime with the star to discuss any make-up-related queries,” adds the source.

Leone, who is currently in Los Angeles with husband, Daniel Weber, daughter Nisha and twins Asher and Noah, for a shoot, explains that the venture is to help girls with make-up woes. “I had this plan in my mind for long. While buying make-up, we are always confused about the right colour for our skin type. It can be daunting to decide whether eye-liner should be applied or not. Every girl wants to look good when she steps out and this app will solve all their queries,” says the actor-entrepreneur.

Besides a cosmetic brand, Leone also owns a perfume and apparel brand and a production house along with her own app.

Sunny on learning horse riding and sword-fighting for her warrior princess’ role in upcoming Tamil drama

The past few days have been frenetic for Sunny Leone, whose Tamil film Veeramadevi went on floors in Chennai. Considering the period drama sees her playing the titular role of a warrior princess, the actor has been training extensively in horse riding and sword-fighting. ‘My muscles got sore in two days as I have done a lot of horse riding and sword-fighting — that too, while wearing heavy armour. But, I had a lot of fun,’ she tells mid-day.

Sunny Leone

While the actor has made a cameo appearance in a song in Tamil film Vadacurry (2014), the VC Vadivudayan-directed film marks her debut in South cinema as a leading lady. With a film that is centred on her character, Leone hopes it will help change audience perception. She says, ‘It’s going to be a long and gruelling film, but I am up for the challenge. I have always wanted to do action sequences and this film has allowed me to push my limits. It’s a different role and I am sure my image will change after this film.’

Although she is trained in the basics of horse riding, Leone says she will have to learn to balance while galloping and cantering. ‘I had learnt the English way of riding, which is relatively more poised. For this film, I had to gallop the horse with another 50 of them behind me,’ she reveals.

Determined to grab eyeballs with this performance, Leone says that she even tried to practise sword-fighting at home, albeit with hilarious results. ‘I was shooting for my new television show, Man vs Wild. I borrowed a dummy sword from the show and practised at home. But when I reached the set, I realised they had real swords and they were really heavy,’ she laughs.

Although a portion of the film has been shot in the last few days, she reveals that the major chunk of the multi-lingual drama will be filmed in May. ‘By the end of the shoot, I’m sure I’ll have added many new skills to my resume.’
