saraAs reported earlier, Abhishek Kapoor’s company Guy In The Sky Pictures and KriArj Entertainment were co-producing the big-budget disaster film “Kedarnath” starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan.

Abhishek, who is also directing the film had a fall out with producer Prernaa Arora (of KriArj Entertainment) and decided to end his agreement!

The two are currently at loggerheads with each other and have also moved to court to solve their issues.

Since the two parties are taking the legal course, no other production house is keen in connecting with the film.

Due to all these differences, the film is now put on hold and this is now adversely affecting Sara Ali Khan, as she was all set to mark her Bollywood debut with this film.

Concerned about her daughter’s career, mommy Amrita Singh bashed director Abhishek Kapoor for his brash behavior.

A source revealed to DNA, “When Gattu called Dingy (Amrita) to tell her about his decision to fly solo with Kedarnath and only getting a big studio on board for the release, Amrita completely lost her cool with him. A heated argument took place between the two.”

Before jumping into the pool, Shah Rukh said: “Hi guys, this is me and I thought every time we reach a big number… I should always do something special for you but normally I do not get the time. But today I have got the time so I gelled my hair back, wore my coolest dark glasses and I am even wearing a bow tie.

“A full tuxedo and today I want to give the most overwhelming loving message that I’ve given you in the last decade. So listen to it carefully because this is very heartfelt.”

After he dived into the pool, popular dialogues said by the star from his over two decade-long journey, played in the background, like “pyaar dosti hai” and “bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai”.

Once he came out of the pool, the “Raees” star said: “I hope you heard every word I said it was right from my heart and so overwhelming that I am running out of breath and where are my glasses. Lots of love to you all.”

Once the video got over, the caption came: “Thank you 33 million”.

Shah Rukh is an avid user of social media platforms.

On the work front, he is busy shooting for Aanand L Rai’s “Zero”, which also features Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

ranveer_aditiAditi Rao Hydari is dazzled by the compliments she has received for her brief yet evocative role as Mehrunisa in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s epic drama “Padmaavat”. The actress says she is overjoyed by the positive response.

“I never expected so much praise for such a brief role. But then Sanjay sir had told me I’d be happy with my role. I am not just happy. I am overjoyed. The response has been tremendous. And I can see why. My character Mehrunisa comes across as the only source of positivity that’s pure and honest in Khilji’s life,” she said.

Aditi played wife to Ranveer Singh’s character as Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji in the film — which is on its way to cross Rs 250 crore at the box office.

“Ranveer’s Khilji is such a dark evil character. There’s no light in his life, except for his wife. Played by me. She is the light in that deep well of Khilji’s consciousness,” says Aditi, who is billed as a guest appearance in the credits of “Padmaavat”.

The actress added: “That’s Sanjay sir’s decision to give me that respect because of the limited footage I had. While shooting also I felt I was hardly there since I was hardly called to shoot. I never realised until I saw the film what a brilliant director can do to a character even in the limited space provided by the plot.”

Aditi feels the impact of her character in “Padmaavat” is due to the writing.

“You see, there is so much to Mehrunisa than meets the eye. She marries the monster knowing what he’s like. There’s a back story to their alliance. They’re supposed to be childhood friends.”

What Aditi really loved about her character was its progressiveness.

“She knows her husband is a monster. She knows he is a bi-sexual. But she is not scared of him. She looks into his maniacal eyes without flinching and she wears the crown that her father once wore and which has now been usurped by her unscrupulous husband, with dignity even if is too large for her petite head.”

Aditi gives all the credit for the impact of her role to her director.

“Sanjay sir made Mehrunisa much more than just a victim of a sadistic marriage. She understands her responsibilities as royalty and fulfils them with great dignity under pressure.”

sonakshi_sonamActress Sonam Kapoor says she has always been warm towards Sonakshi Sinha, who had recently spoken out how the “Neerja” star had once shown her a “lot of attitude”.

On an episode of TV show “BFFs with Vogue”, Sonakshi was asked about her views on Sonam.

She had said: “Once Sonam showed me a lot of attitude and I think that was kind of unnecessary.”

On Saturday, Sonam reacted to it and apologised if she ever made Sonakshi feel so.

“Sona, I’ve always been warm towards you. Don’t remember showing you attitude! If you feel that way I’m sorry,” she wrote.

Sonakshi immediately responded: “Aww don’t be silly Sonam Kapoor! We’ve all been on these shows where we are coaxed to say things we really don’t wanna!!! And then aren’t we used to things being blown out of proportion? Not to be taken seriously! Big hug.”

Salman-KhanNine years after hosting the last season, Salman Khan is ready to bring Dus Ka Dum back to the audience. The superstar will shoot for the promo of the reality game show at Film City today. Having wrapped up the Mumbai schedule of Race 3, Khan had a few days on hand before he resumes the Abu Dhabi schedule of the Remo D’Souza-directed venture. The producers of the show decided to make the most of Khan’s free time and arranged the shoot.

A unit hand tells mid-day, “It’s a fun teaser that will see Salman talking about his return to the show in typical Bhaijaan lingo. He will also call out to the audience for the auditions and inform them of the procedure to participate in the show.”

For the third season, the makers have developed an app through which the common man can participate in the show. With the team currently developing the app, the auditions will begin only next month. Following the screening process, the show will go on floors in May (after Khan would have wrapped up Race 3) and will air in June this year.

The unit hand also reveals that the new season will see certain changes. “While the last two seasons saw several Bollywood stars coming as guests, we won’t have any celebrity guests this year. It will focus only on the aam junta,” says the source. It is already known that the new season will also employ the second screen format, which will allow viewers to answer the questions through the app, at the same time as the contestants.

ranveer-singh2Actor Ranveer Singh, who was highly praised by audiences and critics for portraying the character of Alauddin Khilji in “Padmaavat”, says that the movie will always be a gem in his filmography.

Ranveer attended launch of makeup and prosthetic academy — Makeup Designory — on Wednesday in Mumbai. During media interaction, he shared his views on gigantic success of “Padmaavat”.

“I am enjoying it. I don’t get too carried away with success and neither do I get bogged down by the failure. What’s important for me is that, you deliver on your promise to the audience,” he said.

“I have pledged myself to try and be the best entertainer that I can possibly be and to see the kind of response, love, praise that people are showering on the performance, it’s extremely heartening for me and it’s filled me with more motivation to go out and work even harder and keep doing good work.

“Of course, ‘Padmaavat’ will always be a gem on my filmography,” he added.

Ranveer also expressed that he hasn’t really had time to celebrate this great success as he is busy shooting his next which is Zoya Akhtar’s “Gully Boy”.

“It’s one of those rare successes where it gets the kind of critical success as well as commercial success, so yeah ! it’s been an avalanche of love coming in from everywhere and it’s been quite overwhelming but I haven’t really had time to celebrate as I have been shooting ‘Gully Boy’ everyday,” said Ranveer.

The actor also says that “Gully Boy” is doing extremely well.

“It’s going extremely well. Things are just flowing along sparklingly and delightfully with Zoya (Akhtar) and Alia (Bhatt).

“I am really enjoying the shooting process and honestly what more could I ask for. That’s my greatest gift and pride that I am able to go to a film set everyday and do what I love doing,” he said.

With “Padmaavat”, Sanajay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer have created magic onscreen for the third time post “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” and “Bajirao Mastani”.

He says that he will continue working with the filmmaker.

“Yes why not?.. For Mr. Bhansali, I am ready to do anything,” he said.

“I understand all too well that our collaboration is very special and lot of people recognize that and I recognize it too, so I hope to do more films with him and I hope that I am able to create vast legacy of memorable films with such a special filmmaker,” added Ranveer.

JitendraVeteran Bollywood actor Jeetendra was on Wednesday accused of sexually harassing his cousin, who has come forward to file a police complaint 47 years after the alleged incident.

Jeetendra, whose real name is Ravi Kapoor, is the son of the victim’s father’s sister.

The victim made the allegation in a police complaint filed with Himachal Pradesh’s Director General of Police. A copy of the complaint is with IANS.

As per the complaint, the incident took place in January 1971, when the victim was 18 and Jeetendra was 28. It happened when he “arranged” for the victim to join him from New Delhi to Shimla on the set of his movie without the complainant’s “awareness”.

The victim has claimed that on the night they reached Shimla, Jeetendra returned to the room in an inebriated state, joined the two separate beds and sexually assaulted her.

The allegation comes amid the #MeToo campaign as part of which women have come out about facing sexual abuse at the hands of powerful men. While several ladies have accused Hollywood’s powerful men, the Hindi film industry — while admitting the prevalence of abuse — have not named and shamed as openly.

Jeetendra, now 75, is a well-known name in the Hindi film industry. He is also a film producer, and has daughter Ekta and son Tusshar with wife Shobhaa.

ranveerWell, after his stint in “Padmaavat” the actor has got new fans and so are everyone even more excited for his upcoming films. Well, one such film is Rohit Shetty’s “Simmba”.

A source said to a leading tabloid, “He will make a stylish entry to the hoot of ‘Aala re aala Simmba aala.’ The idea to introduce Ranveer in his new avatar stems from the fact that it’s been a while since he has been seen in an action-packed masala movie.”

As it will be for the first time that the actor will be working with Rohit Shetty in a film, talking about the same he said, “I have admired Rohit sir’s work for a very long time now. We also have Karan Johar as the producer in this film. It’s a genre or brand of cinema that I thoroughly love. Of course, socially, I interact with people who are the ‘multiplex audience’, but my heart is ‘massy’ and that’s actually what I get a huge kick out of.”

“My aim is to make the best Rohit Shetty film, with whatever I can contribute from my end as the leading man. I want to make Simmba his best film. I feel we should make such a high voltage mainstream film that it should become the benchmark for performances in mainstream zone. I am extremely blessed and thankful that I got this incredible opportunity,” he further said.
