On Flashback Friday today, we bring to you a story that’s not known to many.
Hrithik Roshan’s former father-in-law and veteran actor Sanjay Khan had beaten his then girlfriend, Zeenat Aman black and blue.
Unbelievable? Right? Even we were shocked when we heard about it. But, unfortunately it’s true and no action was taken against Sanjay Khan.
It so happened, Sanjay fell in love with Zeenat Aman on the sets of the film “Abdullah”. It wasn’t how it all looked on the forefront. Zeenat, who was a diva and the woman of every man’s dream, didn’t receive a good treatment from her own man.
Reports of 1980 reveal the horryfying story of the fateful night when Sanjay had beaten Zeenat very badly and the on-lookers did nothing to help the poor actress.
The story goes by: Zeenat was shooting in Lonavala and that’s when she got a call from angry Sanjay who ordered her to everything and reshoot a portion of a song in “Abdullah” that had already been shot. When she reasoned that she had already given her dates to another film, he accused her of being sexually involved with the other film-makers.
Upon hearing this, the diva could not hold back herself back and she immediately left the sets and headed straight for Sanjay’s home in Mumbai. When she reached at his residence, she got to know that he was at a party in Taj Hotel. She then reached the five-star hotel to discuss the her dates and also solve the queries that Sanjay had.
The moment she arrived at the party, “the atmosphere there suddenly turned cold and menacing.” She found Sanjay in an intoxicated state and he then yelled her and asked her why she came to the hotel, while his (Sanjay’s) wife Zarine Khan sneered. The actress then said that she had to return to Lonavala and resume her shoot.
Upon hearing this, Sanjay dragged her to the adjoining room and started beating her and everytime she fell he would drag her by her hair and continue his animal wrath. Zarine entered the room upon hearing the voices and instead of stopping her husband she cheered him, “Give the bitch what she deserves,” she shouted, and she too started attacking Zeenat.
Everyone present at the party was aware of what was happening but no one came to her help. Lastly, a steward mustered the courage and rescued Zeenat who by that time had blood and tears all over her face. The actress then took medical help and the doctor advised her complete bed rest. It took her more than eight day to recover from this beating.
The doctor who was treating the actress, revealed to the noted publication, “This is not the first time this man has beaten her. Once before she was given a black eye and kicked in the ribs so hard that I insisted on an X-Ray for fear of a crack.”
Even after all this, she didn’t file any police complaint against Sanjay as she was still madly in love with him.

Shoojit Sircar’s “October” which is a story of a very different shade of love had the actors go through drills to be able to perform their roles with utmost honesty.
Directed by Vishal Pandya and written by Sammeer Arora it’s the fourth installment of the ‘Hate Story’ franchise.Featuring Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhatena in the lead roles, the movie revolves around two brothers fight for the same girl who looks innocent from outside but she have sinister plan of revenge.
Sridevi is no more. It’s been five days since she breathed her last, on February 24, 2018. As we try to come to grips with her tragic passing away, throwback videos and pictures of the actress have been going viral on the internet, which only makes us miss the icon dearly. Sridevi’s untimely death shook the entire nation, including her friends from the industry, some of whom she had met in the recent past. Condolence messages still continue to pour in for Boney Kapoor, his two young daughters and the Kapoor family. Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Madhuri Dixit, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone lent their support to the Kapoors in their grieving time and even Salman Khan made it a point that he paid his last respects to the legendary actress soon after her mortal remains were brought to Dubai.
They may have been one of the most romantic pairs on screen, but Kamal Haasan and late female superstar Sridevi shared a bond like that of siblings. “Sridevi en thangachi (Sridevi was my younger sister),” Haasan said, decades after he was paired opposite Sridevi in a number of Tamil films such as ‘Guru’, ‘Varumayin Niram Sivappu’, ‘Vaazhve Maayam’ and ‘Moondram Pirai’, the last one being also remade as Hindi classic ‘Sadma’ in 1983.
Clover Wootton, who designed the eerie look for actor Anushka Sharma in “Pari”, says she once lied about the actor’s role to Ranbir Kapoor. Clover, who is also working on the Dutt biopic with Ranbir, decided to trick the star into believing that his “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” co-actor was playing the character of a dog woman in the upcoming movie.
Good looks and charm can do wonders to an actor’s career in Bollywood. Jackie Shroff is blessed with both, and his rough looks seem to have quite an effect on women.
Bollywood film producer Boney Kapoor, on Wednesday, expressed his heartfelt thanks to all fans and well-wishers after his actress wife Sridevi’s death in Dubai said his only concern at this time is to protect their two daughters. He said he looks forward to move on in life with daughters Janhvi and Khushi without “the axis” of their family.
