If you thought ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is about modern women who swear, drink, party, have sex on the rocks, you are right. If you thought it’s just that, you are so wrong.

Most men are clueless about what goes on in a woman’s mind, in the powder rooms where they rush together in groups, and on an all-women’s WhatsApp chat group. While men celebrate bromance and pride themselves in putting their bros before everything – a rather unhealthy example of which was ‘Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety’ in which the bromance translates to a deep distrust of women – women, on the other hand, often act as each other’s support systems without spelling it out in too many words.

Director Shashanka Ghosh’s attempt to take us into the world of the urban Indian woman, who is unapologetically herself (or at least tries to be most of the time), is commendable despite its obvious flaws. It’s a film about women, but men feature prominently in the narrative through the female protagonists and that is one reason why this film is not just for female audiences. All you men wanting to understand your women better, give this film a try. There’s more beyond the Hindi ‘gaalis’ and sexy lingerie.

Of course, you have to ignore the blatant chinks in the armour of this #NotAChickFlick. Look beyond the perfect outfits, the extravagant homes and the lavish Thailand holiday (wish we had friends who’d gift us holidays too).

The storyline is simple – 4 friends, 4 romantic plots. All the 4 girls (played by Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Sonak K Ahuja and Shikha Talsania) are different individuals (trying their best to maintain their individuality in a society trying hard to fit them into the standard roles of mother, daughter, wife and ‘bahu’) with a different set of problems. What’s fresh is their take on the problems.

It comes a lot close to how the modern Indian woman living in a metropolitan city deals with things, if you ignore the fancy clothes and cars, that is (hey, it’s Bollywood). They swear, they drink, they have random one-night stands, they make their own mistakes – the premise of the movie being what Kalindi’s (played by Kareena) mother says about letting her daughter make her own decisions even if they be bad decisions.

That is the film for you in a nutshell – women just want to be, just like men, and make their own decisions whether good or bad. Add to it a desi backdrop of Indian aunties and uncles of West Delhi and South Delhi coming together, and you get a rather entertaining 2 hours 15 minutes.

Talking about performances, Swara Bhasker stands out with her confident portrayal of the girl who gives the society a middle finger, even at the cost of losing her face among the middle-aged aunties hungry for gossip and moral policing. Shikha Talsania too keeps it real, but the character hasn’t been drawn to detail. Kareena shines as the beautiful Kalindi but the performance is lacklustre – Geet in ‘Jab We Met’ was way more realistically portrayed than Kalindi whose diva-esque personality overshadows her lines way too much. Sonam too falls short of matching up to Swara and Shikha as a convincing ‘veera’.

The movie is not without flaws, of course. Swara Bhasker’s guilt over masturbation seems a tad misplaced and doesn’t fit the otherwise independent character of a woman who parties, drinks and does whatever the fu*k she wants. So does the girls’ reaction to it.  The women’s issues revolve around men, yes, but it is a film about women wanting to sort out their lives through men? No. Despite her guilt, her decision to choose her pleasure over her husband’s is a revolutionary take for Bollywood where the female lead is more often an object of desire rather than a source of it. We have here a champion (albeit a meek one) of the female orgasm, or as she says in the movie, ‘charamsukh’.

Funny, non-preachy, refreshingly modern (we’re so glad they didn’t beep out the abuses and the skin) and very Delhi – the movie is a breath of fresh air for women, and probably a culture shock for the aunties who roll their eyes every time they see their neighbour’s daughter returning from a party at dawn. Which is exactly why you should take your mummies and daddies and brothers to watch this film. If your girlfriend insists you accompany her to watch it, please tag along.

An innocuous playful image with daughter Ira, 21, had Aamir Khan face the wrath of trolls. The actor shared the image on Facebook, which appears to have been taken during their recent trip to Coonoor.

Looks like Ira was pinning down daddy dearest after a game. What Aamir Khan felt was just some downtime with his daughter was found inappropriate. Netizens trolled him for posting such a picture with an adult daughter. From name-calling to shaming, netizens took on Aamir who preferred to turn a deaf ear to wagging tongues.

Aamir Khan was in Coonoor to celebrate cousin Mansoor Khan’s 60th birthday. Wife Kiran Rao, son Azad and mother Zeenat also made their way to the hill station in Tamil Nadu. Over a decade ago, Mansoor quit Bollywood and relocated to Coonoor where he runs an organic cheese farm. The family were chilling at his place.

As soon as Aamir uploaded pictures from his trip, numerous obscene comments attacking him and his daughter started pouring in. Netizens stooped to a new low with this troll as they posted extremely derogatory comments on his picture. Does this have any end?

On the work fron, Aamir Khan is gearing up for Thugs of Hindostan. The film has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh also.

The box office is all set to witness a string of blockbuster films this June. With the release of ‘Veere Di Wedding’, ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ and ‘Phantom’, the month has already started on a high note.

2018 has been a great year for Bollywood so far, with movies like ‘Padman’, ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Baaghi 2’ and ‘Raid’ making big bucks. It was amazing to see even average budget movies like ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ and ‘Hichki’ impressing the viewers with its fresh concepts.

May proved to be an awesome month with movies like ‘Raazi’ and ‘Parmanu’ throwing light on stories that we had never heard of. And now, after watching these intense movies, it’s time to start this month with a bang as it has entertainment written all over it.

June 2018 has some great movies lined up and here’s a list of the ones which should be on your must-watch list:

Veere Di Wedding (1 June 2018)

With all the buzz around this movie, we bet there is no one who isn’t curious to know what the story is all about. Promoted as #NotAChicFlick, this movie stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in the lead roles. The movie revolves around four friends attending the wedding of a close friend from within the group. The script brings in different layers and emotions, showcasing four different journeys. The movie has already hit the theatres today and you can catch it over the weekend.

Bhavesh Joshi Superhero (1 June 2018)

Vikramaditya Motwane’s vigilante drama ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ is not your regular Bollywood superhero movie, which makes it a must watch. The trailer had left many impressed with its concept. The movie highlights the serious issue of corruption prevalent in Indian politics. It can be termed as a superhero/revenge drama, where Harshvardhan Kapoor will be seen trying to avenge the death of his friend, who was killed by a politician for his own nefarious reasons.

Weaving the tale of a vigilante who fights corruption in a kick-ass style, this movie is edgy, dark and gives you a sliver of hope that this could bring about a change to the face of B-town’s superhero films.

Phamous (1 June 2018)

There are chances that you might have not even heard of this film, but with a cast like Jimmy Shergill, Kay Kay Menon, and Mahie Gill, the movie does sound promising indeed. Directed by Karan Lalit Bhutani, the movie is a romantic/crime drama that deals with the power struggle between four main characters in the Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh.

The plot and the concept seem to be interesting and different compared to main-stream films, but with huge movies like ‘Veere Di Wedding’ and ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ releasing alongside ‘Phantom’, we wonder if people will even give this movie a chance? Maybe word of mouth will do wonders for this movie?

Kaala (7 June 2018)

Though this is not a Bollywood movie, the Hindi dubbed version of this Rajinikanth-starring film makes it to our list for all the right reasons. Thalaivar’s latest movie shows him as the saviour of the masses. The gangster-drama is the story of Kaala Karikaalan, who is a local favourite in the Dharavi slum. He will be seen fighting Nana Patekar, a corrupt politician who has no qualms about eliminating anyone who gets in his way.

We can already expect some whistle-worthy dialogues and jaw-dropping action sequences, given it’s a Rajinikanth movie.

Race 3 (15 June 2018)

When a movie stars Salman Khan, it goes without saying that it becomes one of the most anticipated films of the year. Starring Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Anil Kapoor, Saqib Saleem, and Freddy Daruwala, ‘Race 3’ is the perfect family entertainer, which is set to release this Eid and Bhai’s fans are more than excited to watch it.

High on octane action sequences, this movie, however, has become a joke on social media for various reasons. But still, when a film stars Salman Khan, it is bound to mint money and enter the 100 crore club, even though it makes no sense at all. We only hope that Bhai doesn’t destroy the ‘Race’ franchise.

Sanju (29 June 2018)

The trailer of the movie has left almost everyone waiting with bated breath to see and hear the unseen story of Sanjay Dutt. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, the movie is a biographical drama based on the life of the controversial Bollywood actor.  Fondly known as Sanju Baba, Dutt’s story has different shades to it.

From the trailer, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the man has seen and experienced more than one can ever think of in a lifetime, which makes his story extraordinary. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala and Sonam Kapoor in key roles.

While cinephiles are raving about the recently-released Sanju trailer, fans are yet to catch a glimpse of the reel and real Sanjay Dutt in the same frame. As much as he wanted to be by Ranbir Kapoor’s side during the trailer launch on Wednesday, Dutt was unable to attend the event due to the shoot of his upcoming film, Torbaaz. But we hear, a promotional song featuring the two is in the offing.

A source from the production unit reveals, “Sanjay Dutt is expected to film the special number at Mehboob Studios over the weekend. The song will be launched a few days before the movie’s release. But it won’t be part of the film.”

The source adds that like Ranbir Kapoor does in the biopic, the track will see the senior actor in six different avatars — from his 20s to the 50s — as he narrates his story to him.

As known to all, Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar have been best of friends and the two never shy away from expressing their love and care for each other.

But, little did we know that Sonam went on to postpone her wedding just for Swara!

Yes, you read that right!

It so happened that, after consulting their family astrologer, Sonam’s parents, mom Sunita Kapoor and dad Anil Kapoor had finalized March 12, 2018, as their daughter’s wedding date. But, Sonam was not very happy with it because this same date was finalized by Swara’s parents for her brother Ishaan Bhaskar wedding, which meant, Swara would not be able to attend Sonam’s wedding.

Sharing about the same, Swara during her interaction with Red FM revealed, “Sonam entered (on the sets of Veere Di Wedding) looking very upset. I got an idea what it was about. Sonam even asked me if I could convince my parents in order to get Ishan’s wedding date changed,” reveals Swara.

Swara wanted to attend both the weddings, so she tried her best to convince her parents to shift her brother’s wedding date. However, they denied.

On the other hand, Sonam succeeded in convincing her parents to shift the date.

That’s how the Sonam got married on May 8, 2018, instead of March 12, 2018, and Swara could be there for both the weddings!

Salman Khan has an eye for talent and that’s something everyone knows. And when he spots genuine talent, nothing can stop him from bringing that talent into the public eye.

The big news right now is that Salman is launching a handsome and talented newcomer in the film industry – Zaheer Iqbal.

Zaheer doesn’t come from a film family but his father and Salman have known each other for years. The story goes that it was by sheer chance that Salman spotted Zaheer at his sister’s wedding function doing a stage performance. It was there and then that the superstar decided that he would bring this terrific performer into the movies.

The wait has ended for Zaheer as Salman gets ready to launch him into the world of glamour and glitter. Salman’s banner SKF (Salman Khan Films) is producing the film along with Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde of Cine1 Studios. The film (yet untitled) will go on floors in September this year and is being directed by the highly acclaimed Nitin Kakkar of Filmistaan fame.

Zaheer is being introduced to the big screen in a love story set in Kashmir. The leading lady opposite him will also be a new face and is expected to be locked in the next few days.

Salman has been training Zaheer for a while now and is extremely confident of his abilities. No wonder then that he’s named him ‘Zahero’ – it’s also what the film’s crew calls him by.

Incidentally, Salman personally did Zaheer’s photo-shoot recently (see the picture inset). The last time he picked up the camera like this was for Hrithik Roshan.

“Zaheer is made for the movies. He is a fantastic actor and a born star,” says superstar Salman.

The film’s producers seem to be equally confident. “Zaheer is here to stay for the long run,” promises Murad Khetani. “His greatest asset is his honesty and that shows on screen,” adds Ashwin Varde.

The film’s director Nitin Kakkar is excited about the journey ahead. “Zaheer’s level of commitment towards his work is great. He will go a very long way,” he says.

With such a beginning and the blessings of Salman Khan, Zaheer’s journey into Bollywood has already started on a smashing note.

After hosting an online store, it is important to maintain it. Updating different segments on the store is an effective way of making your site look new to shoppers. Sites that are poorly maintained look outdated and untidy to customers, and therefore reduce their selling potential. Online store maintenance has to be part of your ecommerce strategy yet many merchants ignore it – quote often to the detriment of their business.

Benefits of Online Store Maintenance:

Online Store Maintenance

Site Security:

Regular updates of themes and plugins fight security attacks from hackers, scammers, viruses and many other nefarious entities. When you do routine maintenance of your store, you will be aware of possible threats and dangers, and take preventative measures beforehand.

A single breach can cause theft of confidential customer data, that in turn creates legal issues and also customers lose confidence in the business.

SEO maintenance:

Store maintenance should also include periodic SEO revitalization. Maintaining SEO through regular updates is necessary to maintain your ranking in search engines. Through regular maintenance, research new keywords and add them to your search term lists to improve internet accessibility. And don’t forget to adjust your SEO for voice based searches.

Regular maintenance should also include your social media sites, their integration with the website and making sure current content is posted regularly on the social properties of the company.

Increased Site Functionalities and User Friendliness:

Online shoppers are taking a risk when they go shopping and if for any reason they don’t feel secure, or they don’t see the information that they need or the shopping cart is too complicated, they abandon the site and go elsewhere. Abandoned shopping carts is a big issue for online merchants and one way of minimizing abandoned carts is to constantly monitor your online store and ensure that everything is working.

Some small business owners wonder why they need to maintain their store when it was working just fine 6 months ago. The reason is that the underlying software changes, the plugins change, the operating system changes and there are new security threats. If you don’t update regularly, soon you will have some sections of the webstore that no longer function. You may not know and be losing sales.

Upload Products to Marketplaces like Walmart, Amazon, Ebay, Google Shopping etc:

The more people see your products, the better your chances of making a sale. That is why savvy merchants list their products on marketplaces like Walmart, Amazon, Ebay, Google Shopping etc. However; unless you just have a handful of products, it becomes very difficult to manage and synchronize inventory across all these marketplaces. If you don’t, you may end up cancelling orders and that lowers your ratings. A good ecommerce specialist will help you use services like UploadMyProducts.com to upload inventory in bulk and synchronize across multiple marketplaces.

Room To Add New Opportunities:

You should have an ongoing relationship with a webmaster so you can add new functions and features as new opportunities arise. When you have an ongoing relationship, the web master has a vested interest in the company’s success and will be more than eager to explore new opportunities.

Who can help you with online Store Maintenance?
