A lot of us are still reeling from the tragic ending of ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ How could Marvel do that to us??? Don’t worry, if you’re one of the select few who still haven’t gotten around to seeing the movie, we won’t be spoiling it for you here.

Even though ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ was probably the darkest Marvel movie to date, there’s no reason why the cast couldn’t have had a lot of fun during filming. Here’s a taste of what went on behind the scenes.

This is the closest thing we have to a blooper reel right now and while we’re sure they will release more behind the scenes footage over the next few months, this is the only thing we have to hang on to right now.

But, don’t worry, we’re not going to let you go without some laughs. No one is perfect and it’s pretty obvious that the actors would make some hilarious mistakes while shooting. Here’s a collection of multiple blooper reels from the past Marvel films.

You talk about fine stand-up acts in India and the first name that comes to your mind is of Vir Das. He is supremely talented and can crack you up within seconds. His ‘The Boarding World Tour’, in which he traveled across 6 continents and more than 26 countries, gained him a huge fan following. And now the man is back, adding another feature to his hat.

Signing a new show with ABC, Vir will soon be seen in a Warner Brothers’ dramedy series weekly, ‘Whiskey Cavalier’. The show will be both action-packed and a comedy at the same time, tracing the life of tough but tender FBI super agent, Will Chase aka Whiskey Cavalier. Vir will be seen playing one of the main leads named Jai Datta in the series. Not many know this, but Vir shot the pilot episode of the show at the beginning of the year in Prague.

When Vir was asked about this new venture he said, “I had such a good time shooting the pilot. It’s an exciting time to bring Indian voices to American television. This is a comedy team and a cast that is the right mix of laughs and action. I’m looking forward to saving the world with some hilarious people. 

It was something that the universe sent my way while I was on tour in the US. I ended up meeting Bill and the team and we found this character together,” he added.

Ever since we got the glimpse of Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Saadat Hasan Manto, we have been excited about the teaser. If there is one thing that Nawaz has shown us over time is the fact that he can do anything and everything. He is extraordinary and leaves no stone unturned when it comes to portraying a character. And that’s exactly what he did in the teaser of ‘Manto’ that was released on 13th May at Cannes Film Festival.

Directed by Nandita Das, the film is based on author Saadat Hasan Manto. It was 10 years ago when Nandita made her directorial debut with ‘Firaaq’ featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead and now they are all set to entertain us again with a movie that will leave you stunned.

The teaser transports us to the post-Independence era when we were still struggling with poverty and corruption. Nawaz plays a fearless and rebellious writer, who is unstoppable and speaks his mind out loudly. 

Soon we also see a court case being filed against Manto for his popular story- Thanda Ghosht in Lahore after he moved to Pakistan. We also see debates taking place between him and his wife Safia (Rasika Duggal).

The clip highlights show how Manto is unstoppable and unapologetic about what he narrates in his stories. The film traces the most difficult four years of Manto’s life during the India-Pakistan partition. There is a line in the teaser that sums up everything about life, “aakhir mein afsaane hi reh jaate hain aur unke kirdaar.”

Ryan Reynolds is currently in South Korea promoting ‘Deadpool 2’ and while he was there, he decided to drop by the sets of the popular reality show ‘King Of Masked Singer’.The show is basically a doppelganger of ‘The Voice’ but with fancy costumes which hide the identity of the singer, that makes it more interesting to watch!

Now, usually when you call a celebrity at a show, he sits with the judges and low-key ‘judges’ all the contestants present there. Honestly, we don’t know what has baffled and surprised us more. The fact that he dressed as a unicorn or that this man can sing really well! And the flabbergasted reactions of the judges and the audience the moment he took off his mask, was beyond amazing.

However, those of you (including me) who possess the eagle eye, will probably remember Deadpool’s another and certainly more interesting connection with unicorns. Remember the scene from the first installment, where he returns from a particularly messed up fight and then proceeds to his abode to vent his frustrations?

Yea, we are talking about the blink-and-miss jerking off scene, where Deadpool has an…ahem…rather intimate moment with himself with the aid of a stuffed unicorn using his teeny, tiny baby hand.  

Anyway, if you guys are even remotely aware of the kind of stories I write, then I am going to assume that you already know about my deeply ingrained love for Korean music and dramas. It’s kind of difficult to explain my excitement every time I come across anything K-Pop and K-drama related and particularly this video. So, I will let this GIF do the talking for me. And if you relate to me, then I am sure you will get how I am feeling.

Bollywood actors often opt for method acting to portray challenging characters in films with finesse. To get into the skin of his character, Alauddin Khilji, for Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh reportedly locked himself at a Goregaon hotel room for 21 days. Rajkummar Rao apparently survived on black coffee and carrots for three weeks to look his part in Trapped (2016). The latest one to join the bandwagon is Harshvardhan Kapoor, who is awaiting the release of his next, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero.

The actor took swimming and scuba diving lessons for a sequence in the film. He found deep-sea diving difficult. “I had to learn the basics of scuba for an underwater sequence in the film. It was stressful, because I only had a week to prepare. I tried my best in the limited sessions that I attended,” says Kapoor.

Harshvardhan Kapoor shot the scenes at night, which was challenging. “Diving at night was nerve-racking. Also, because of my beard, the goggles often slipped off and water entered my nostrils. It was scary because I was underwater,” says Kapoor, who is keen to go diving in the future. “But only for leisure, because the world under the sea is beautiful.”

Hours after Manto screening at Cannes Film Festival 2018, Nawazuddin Siddiqui tells mid-day how his labour of love got rousing reception

“It’s such a gratifying feeling,” said Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the joy evident in his voice. Speaking to us hours after the screening of Nandita Das’ Manto at the Cannes Film Festival last evening, he said, “People had tears in their eyes. I could see that I had done well by the way people were responding to my performance. Nandita has created a fantastic film. As actors, we do our bit and walk off. It’s she who has woven a wonderful tapestry, interspersing Manto’s works with his personal journey.”

Siddiqui is no stranger to the French Riviera. After his Gangs Of Wasseypur (2012) won hearts in the prestigious festival, Manto was selected in the Un Certain Regard segment this year. Admitting that he was “busy picking faults in my work” during the screening, Siddiqui adds, “Actors are poor judges of their own work. But, we have a good sense of what counts as a good film. I could gauge that Manto is a good movie from the raw emotions people had in their eyes.”

As Nawazuddin Siddiqui slipped into the role of Saadat Hasan Manto, the actor said his biggest takeaway was that truth always remains relevant. He cited an interesting example in Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi whose Three Faces opened to a thunderous response on Saturday. Like Manto, Panahi, too has faced the wrath of his homeland after his works offered a critique of modern Iran. “Manto fought for his freedom of speech and look how relevant it is right now. This exemplary filmmaker has been banned. Such a coincidence,” he exclaimed.
