Since the time Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ has begun to tantalise us with teasers and posters, the film has also unfortunately been facing backlash for some or the other reasons. From the filmmaker being attacked, slapped, and the sets being set on fire by Karni Sena for bizarre reasons in Rajasthan, the film’s team has faced a lot of problems since the start.

Bhansali, who is known for creating magnum opus historic films despite all the issues, came forward and assured that there was nothing in the film that would hurt anyone’s sentiments. However, it seems like people are too touchy about history and freedom of expression is just a concept which seems to be disappearing.

The first look, the trailer of the film and the songs…everything has got a positive response so far. As one would expect, just like any other Bhansali film, people can’t wait for it to hit the theatres but there too the movie is facing herculean hurdles. You also have some royal families getting miffed with the depiction of Padmavati and her apparel and also dancing publically, while some are also worried about Khilji’s portrayal and political groups who are doing everything in their capacity to ensure this film never sees the light of the day.

Recently, Deepika Padukone had expressed her anger over an artist’s ‘Padmavati’ Rangoli being ruined by demonstrators. The impact was so big that the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani had to step in. Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor, who play pivotal roles in the film, have asked everyone to relax and form their opinion only after watching the film, which logically makes a lot more sense.

And now, even Jim Sarbh, who will be seen playing a crucial part in the film, has decided to give his perspective as well. But instead of getting angry or asking everyone to chill, he decided to take a slightly separate approach!

Taking the issue of boycotting ‘Padmavati’ to a whole new level, a Twitter user posted a tweet putting across his stand. Well, the man totally gave us some free gyan, but what made it even more hilarious was Sarbh’s whiplash of a response.

After that, as expected, the Internet just couldn’t stop laughing and several people chimed in with their opinions.

Finally a valid reason. https://t.co/wg1pXP32Fc

there was a guy whom no one liked and once the reason was asked and they said we do not like the way he eats, when he eats his beard moves along with his mouth when he chews, indeed a valid reason..lol!

Well, reading this we did have a pretty good laugh too. Talking about the film, as Bhansali said, there will be no imaginary scenes between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. So how about we give the makers a break?

Haters can hate, but we are totally excited to watch the film on the big screen!  The film will hit the theatres near us on December 1 and until then…everyone…peace!
