Irrfan Khan Finally Revealed His 'Rare Disease' & We Wish Him A Speedy Recovery
Last week, Irrfan Khan shocked the whole world when he announced on Twitter that he has been diagnosed with a ‘rare disease’. He wrote, “Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life shaking you up. The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease. I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will.”

Just like your friends and family, your fans too are there for you in this testing time, Irrfan.
However, despite him requesting people not to speculate anything because he promised to share the details soon, there was no dearth of baseless rumours related to his health on social media. In fact, some rumours even suggested that Irrfan Khan has been diagnosed with brain cancer https://www.thequint.com/news/webqoof/newsx-jansatta-rumor-mongering-over-irrfan-health and that the tumour is also known as ‘death on diagnosis’.
Fast forward to the present and like Irrfan promised, he has shared the details of this disease that he contracted. The 51-year-old actor has been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour and he will soon leave the country for his treatment.
For those wondering if the disease has anything to do with brain, Irrfan clarified saying “As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research.

Well, we searched online and found that the NeuroEndocrine tumours are “neoplasms that arise from cells of the endocrine and nervous systems. They most commonly occur in the intestine, but they are also found in the pancreas, lung and the rest of the body.”
Irrfan signed off writing, “To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.”
Well, we pray for your speedy recovery, Irrfan, and hope to see your impeccable acting prowess soon. Irrfan Khan will be seen next in ‘Blackmail’.
