It’s going to be a double whammy, a whimsical visual treat and a fiesta at the box office for every Akshay Kumar fan out there. Bollywood’s resident ‘Khiladi’ is all set to face his biggest clash at the box office. His home production which also Twinkle Khanna’s production house’s maiden project ‘Padman’is going to compete with 2.0 which also stars Akshay along with Rajnikanth.

The release date of 2.0 was already slated to be 25th January 2018 and the release date for ‘Padman’ was announced to be 26th January 2018.

‘Padman’ will trace the journey of Arunachalam Muruganantham, the brain behind the low cost machinery for manufacturing affordable sanitary napkins for women who have little access. The movie also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte. 2.0 on the other hand, is all set to be an action treat and is a sequel to Rajnikanth’s ‘Robot’. The movie will see Akshay as the antagonist with many shades and also stars Amy Jackson. The music was recently released in Dubai.

However, if reports are to be believed, then most probably ‘2.0’ will be pushed to the summer of 2018. That would also make more sense in the terms of spacing out time between releasing songs, trailer and the movie itself. Adding more flavour to the box office is Sidharth Malhotra’s ‘Aiyaari’ which will also release on the same weekend. Which version of Khiladi are you going to choose?
