The 8th edition of Jagran Film Festival that started today will see Morocco be the country of focus this year.

As part of this association, festival-goers in 16 Indian cities will get a chance to watch 10 Moroccan feature films. Moroccan cinema has undergone a drastic change since 1956, from documentaries and nation building films to more contemporary culture.

The festival will feature films like ‘Adios Carmen,’ ‘Androman,’ ‘Blood and Coal,’ ‘Dallas,’ ‘Pegasus,’ ‘Love in the Medina,’ ‘Sotto Voce,’ ‘The Narrow Frame of Midnight,’ ‘Horses of God,’ ‘Malak,’ ‘The Red Scarf,’ ‘Death For Sale’ and ‘The End.’

The Jagran Film Festival, India’s BIG Travelling Film Festival, is preparing to transcend boundaries to build awareness and create cultural affinity in its 8th year of organisation. The festival will have over 130 screenings that include a line-up of films from across the world. Some of the prominent sections of the festival are World Panorama, Indian Showcase, Jagran Shorts, Jagran Discovery, Country Focus and the Retrospective of films.

The 2017 edition of Jagran Film Festival will traverse from Delhi to the Indian hinterlands of Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Patna, Dehradun, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bhopal, Indore, Hisar, Ludhiana, Meerut, Raipur, and culminate in Mumbai.
