Virat Kohli may already have a bunch of Polly Umrigar awards, but the one he received yesterday for being the best international cricketer has to be the most special one. Not only was he honoured for all his hard work, he received the award in the presence of his biggest fan and cheerleader who made it all the more special.

We’re obviously talking about Anushka Sharma who had the biggest smile throughout the night as she cheered for her husband.

Everyone knows that ever since ‘Virushka’ got married, Virat has always, always mentioned and thanked Anushka whenever he wins or is honoured with something and this time was also no different. He was presented with the award by national coach Ravi Shastri and you can already guess what his speech was all about.

After getting the award, he said, “My wife’s here today so makes it more special. The awards didn’t happen last year but I’m glad it didn’t because she’s here now.”

He actually received two awards – for both 2016-17 and 2017-18 – because he achieved so much in the last two years. In the 2016-17 season, he amassed 1332 runs in 13 Tests at an average of 74, while he averaged 84.22 for his 1516 runs in 27 ODIs during the period. In the six Tests played in the 2017-18 seasons, he scored 896 runs at an average of 89.6, while ODI average stands at 75.50.

Well, he does have a lot to be proud about and we’re sure Anushka is over the moon about everything he’s achieved.

The biggest takeaway from Virat and Anushka’s constant PDA –

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma need to slow it down. They are putting too much pressure on other married couples.
