Aamir Khan had revealed in an interview that he is keen to make Mahabharata on big screen and it would be his most ambitious and big project.
Talking about it Aamir Khan had said, “My dream project is to make the Mahabharata but I’m afraid of starting the project as I know it will consume at least 15-20 years of my life. My favourite character is Karna, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to play him due to my physique. I may just have to play Krishna. I also liked the character of Arjun. He was the only person who asked Krishna why he had to kill his own people.”
Aamir further added, “I’m a huge fan of SS Rajamouli’s (Baahubali director) work and if he ever plans to make Mahabharata, I’d love to play Krishna or Karna. I might actually go with Krishna.”
And now, as per the reports in a leading tabloid, Mukesh Ambani who is one of the biggest business tycoons is all set to co-produce the film with Aamir. The film is said to be made along the lines of Peter Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings trilogy and HBO series Game Of Thrones with a budget of over Rs 1,000 crore. It is also being said that the film will be made in 3 to 5 parts with multiple directors being involved in it. Sources further told the tabloid, “International writers will be brought in to sharpen Mahabharata’s story-line, to appeal to a global audience.”
