We’ve seen them in the movies, we’ve seen them off-screen, at airports, in parties. We’ve seen them in their best attire, makeup on point, muscles flexing, and practised smile. But how were they back in school when they weren’t celebrities? Were they as nerdy as us? Was puberty as cruel to them as it was to us? We came across these childhood pictures of our favourite Bollywood celebrities and we now know puberty can work wonders too.

1. We’re glad Ranbir Kapoor was as nerdy as we were at that age

Tennis champ Novak Djokovic’s former girlfriend, Serbian pop star Natasa Bekvalac, has alleged that he would “rather be happy dating Deepika Padukone.” The ex-flame has spilled the beans in an interview according to online reports.

She has hinted that the two had an affair. In March 2016, Novak and Dippy were clicked by the paparazzi outside a restaurant in Los Angeles.

A British tabloid, who failed to recognise Dippy, had referred to her as the Serbian player’s ‘female companion’ and ‘a leggy brunette’.

Recently, tennis legend, John McEnroe, compared Djokovic to alleged serial cheater, golfer Tiger Woods. With reports of trouble in his marriage with wife Jelana, Natasa has dropped another bombshell.

Deepika-Padukone-If sources are to be believed then Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is getting a whopping Rs 12 crore as remuneration for her upcoming film ‘Padmavati’. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali the film also stars Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Deepika Padukone has apparently devoted an entire year for the period drama ‘Padmavati’, in which she is essaying the titular Rajput queen. Sources say this could possibly justify her astrnomical salary demand.

Deepika Padukone has ranked 10 in world’s 10 highest paid actresses’ list alongside Hollywood heavyweights Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts and ‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston. Deepika became the only Indian actress and the sole newcomer in Forbes’ 2016 list of the ‘World’s Highest-Paid Actresses.’

According to India Today, when Deepika was recently approached for a film featuring one of the Khans, she quoted the same sum as ‘Padmavati’ as her asking price. The producers were taken aback at this, since it’s a two-heroine film and the other actress, would also have a list of her own demands. But, sources say Deepika remaind adamant.

Deepika Padukone has been a part of recent box-offices successes like ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Piku’.

Deepika Padukone is also set to feature in the fourth outing of the ‘xXx’ franchise. Deepika made her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ that released in January this year.

‘Padmavati’ starring Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is set to release on November 17.

Deepika Padukone ‘steals’ from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s tiffin on the set of Padmavati. The actress took to social media yesterday and wrote, “Stealing SLB’s nashta while he’s busy directing Padmapati.”

Has the film’s title changed or is it just a typo error while Dippy was devouring SLB’s dabba? Co-star Shahid Kapoor would prefer this title though.

Ranbir-Kapoor-katrinaRanbir Kapoor’s personal life has always been the object of discussion in media and elsewhere.

After breaking up with Deepika Padukone, then Katrina Kaif, a report according to DNA states that the actor may have found new love in his life.

The report states that Ranbir Kapoor is dating a Mumbai-based girl, however she is not an actress, neither does she have anything to do with the film industry. Reportedly, she even joined him on one of the promotional events of ‘Jagga Jasoos.’ Not just that, she even met Ranbir’s ex, Katrina Kaif and the latter is definitely not happy about his new-found love interest.

The source added that it is not clear if Ranbir is simply hanging out with her, but it could be construed that he is rubbing his new object of affection in Katrina’s face, who is also hanging out with her ex, Salman Khan, these days. Ranbir is constantly on the phone and this seems to irritate Katrina. Their irritability and uncomfortable vibes were sensed by one and all, who attended the promotional events of ‘Jagga Jasoos’.

If there are privileges being an actor, there are also tons of negatives to this side of life as well. Being a famous person means you are constantly in the limelight. Every move you make is under the radar and believe it or not, these people need to be ready to be trolled time and again.

Here are 5 Bollywood celebrities who were trolled mercilessly by the users on social media so far in 2017:

Priyanka Chopra

Comme de garçon meets the #metgala2017 meets #ralphlauren .. when you gotta do u!! .. @cristinaehrlich ??????

A post shared by Priyanka Chopra (@priyankachopra) on May 2, 2017 at 12:53am PDT

PeeCee is everyone’s favourite. Love her or hate her, she is all over social media. Especially, Twitterati will not leave a single opportunity to troll her. From her cosmetic surgery, to what she wears to meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the actress was targeted not just once but several times. Priyanka who was last seen in ‘Baywatch’ was massively trolled for her MET Gala outfit. Yes, we are talking about the brown trench coat that she wore. But Priyanka, being the best, shut down those trolls by putting out a compilation of best memes on her social media account.

Deepika Padukone

A post shared by Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) on Jun 7, 2017 at 3:34am PDT

Well, it’s no doubt that Deepika Padukone puts out a picture and we go gaga over those. However, things didn’t go well when she posted a sizzling hot picture from one of her photoshoots. As soon as the photo appeared on her Instagram, people started commenting about her ‘sanskar’. Yes, we Indians are just obsessed with judging people according to their attire. But Deeps just shut them off by posting another picture in the same attire. You rock, girl!

Salman Khan

What happens if Bhaijaan gives us road safety tips? *Wink Wink* We don’t need to elaborate. So Salman Khan launched Being Human E-cycle and shared road safety comments. Ironically, he was trolled remorselessly for it!

P.S. Beware when you see Salman’s car on the road (geddit?)

Ameesha Patel

— ameesha patel (@ameesha_patel) June 29, 2017

She has been our favourite at one point. The ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ actress won our hearts with her amazing acting. Even though she is away from the silver screen, the actress keeps giving us updates about her life via her social media account. Just recently, she posted a series of photos and her fans loved it. However, one of the photos where she is posing showing her armpit got trolled. People started writing weird and nasty comments. We just wonder what are people up to!

Fatima Sana Shaikh

A post shared by Fatima Sana Shaikh (@fatimasanashaikh) on Jun 6, 2017 at 10:20pm PDT

The ‘Dangal’ actress Fatima Sana Shaikh posted a picture of her donning a black swimsuit during the holy month of Ramadan. And it just didn’t go well with the trolls. As soon as she shared it on her Instagram, people in massive number started abusing her for disrespecting their god and religion. Apparently, her wearing a bikini hurt people’s sentiments.

She is stunning and gorgeous, no doubt. Bollywood loves her and fans just can’t get enough of her. Deepika Padukone is ruling B-town and there is not a soul who doesn’t love this dusky beauty.

With every film, she keeps getting better and now she is gearing up to entertain us in a royal avatar. This year so far, she has starred in no Bollywood films but it was a special year for her as she made her Hollywood debut with ‘XXX: The Return of Xander Cage’. The film grabbed everyone’s attention as she starred alongside Vin Diesel. Yeah, that’s definitely something!

A post shared by Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) on May 19, 2017 at 1:09pm PDT

But, to play that role wasn’t an easy task. From learning combat skills to following a fixed workout schedule, the actress did everything to get Serene Unger’s character right.

Deepika’s body is something that many have been crushing on. Well, what can one say she as she is is slender yet curvaceous! However, getting that perfectly toned body ain’t no cakewalk as you got to sweat it out to get that look.

#xXxToday !!!????????????????????????

A post shared by Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) on Jan 13, 2017 at 11:52am PST

Just recently, Deepika’s trainer Farhan Dhalla  posted a throwback video of her workout routine during that time. In the video, the actress is seen working hard and flaunting her perfectly toned bod in a black outfit.

#ThrowbackThursday A sample of the training I did with Deepika Padukone to help prepare for her role in #XXXTheReturnOfXanderCage. Every moment is an opportunity for us to grow and transform. We are all unique and have a unique path. No two paths and no two bodies are the same. You are the star of your own life ????. It’s important we strive to be the best version of ourselves always. Let this video inspire you to reflect and take inspired action. Who are you today? Who do you wish to become? How can you grow? Set an intention. Have a vision and ask yourself What can I do even if it’s a small step today to grow and evolve honouring my uniqueness? ????????Then pay attention and the guidance you seek will come. I’m sending you all lots of love and Angel blessings ????#bollywoodtrainer ????????????#deepikapadukone

A post shared by Farhan Dhalla (@farhandhalla) on Jun 28, 2017 at 10:34pm PDT

Also, just last week when  director D.J. Caruso was asked if there are chances that Deepika will be seen in the fourth instalment, he said, “Oh yes”. That’s indeed good news, so let’s hope things fall into place and we hear an official announcement about the same.

Deepika is currently shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film ‘Padmavati’. The film is scheduled to hit theatres this year and we can’t wait to see her on-screen.

In the last few decades, Bollywood has made its mark globally. Indian celebs’ popularity has grown immensely. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Indian filmmakers and artists are doing everything in their capacity to make it big worldwide.

After ‘Dangal’ and ‘Baahubali’ making it big at the box office globally, we have yet another good news for Bollywood lovers which will make you say ‘hurray’ in unison. No, it’s not Salman Khan’s Tueblight making 1000-2000 crore but the fact that Indian actors have received an invitation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to be its members.

Yes, you heard us right. With an intention to diversify its membership this year, the Academy has sent out 774 invitations to new members from 57 countries to be their member.

According to a report by a leading daily, biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Irrfan Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone and Aamir Khan are invited to be members of the Oscars class 2018. However, Shah Rukh Khan is missing from the list, making us wonder why.

But they are not the only ones who have made it to the list; Goutam Ghose and Mrinal Sen have been invited among the directors, Buddhadeb Dasgupta and Sooni Taraporevala among the writers. Anand Patwardhan has been invited under documentary filmmakers list. Costume designer Arjun Bhasin and Sound Designer Amrit Pritam Dutta are part of the list too.

However, this isn’t the first time that Bollywood celebrities have been invited by this prestigious organisation. Last year, Sharmila Tagore, Deepa Mehta, and Freida Pinto were part of it, but this is the first time that so many Indians have been invited in one go.

The announcement was made when Cheryl Boone Isaacs, President of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences officially told the Oscar website, “We’re proud to invite our newest class to the Academy. The entire motion picture community is what we make of it. It’s up to all of us to ensure that new faces and voices are seen and heard, and to take a shot on the next generation the way someone took a shot on each of us.”

Hollywood biggies like Gal Gadot, Adam Driver, Riz Ahmed, Domhnall Gleeson Warwick David, Adam Driver, Riz Ahmed, Domhnall Gleeson, Chris Pratt, Anna Faris, Margot Robbie, Channing Tatum, Shailene Woodley, Ruth Negga, Rupert Grint, Warwick David and others have been invited as well.

While Betty White, 95, is the oldest member while Elle Fanning, 19 is the youngest.

Well, definitely it’s a very proud moment for India. Not that Indian arists needed this invitation to prove their worth but it feels great that the Academy is finally broadening its horizons and diversifying its membership by inviting people of colour this time.

Here’s the complete list people who have been invited to the Oscars organisation this year:

Shahid-Kapoor-aaA hectic shooting schedule for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama-Padmavati, coupled with Mumbai’s testing traffic, has compelled Juhu boy Shahid Kapoor to shift base to a popular Goregaon five-star in a bid to minimise the time spent on commute.

Shahid has taken a cue from his co-actors, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, and moved closer to the Film City set to successfully negotiate his acting commitments and fitness routine.

A source tells mid-day, “Shahid would spend four hours travelling. He moved into a Goregaon hotel for the previous schedule, given that it is closer to Film City. He would start shooting early in the morning and continue working till the wee hours of the next day. Since he needed to sport two distinct looks for the film, working out was crucial. Shahid will stay there for a few weeks.”

The father misses spending time with his daughter Misha. A unit hand informs, “One day, after an early pack up, Shahid’s wife Mira, and Misha, came to visit him. Along with Ranveer, Deepika, and other key cast members, the trio had a small gathering at the hotel.”

Given that Shahid Kapoor continues to interact with ‘Padmavati’ co-star Ranveer Singh, can rumours about an apparent rift be put to rest? “They are competing, but it’s a constructive and healthy competition. They both have well chalked out roles and scenes. The rumours are bogus. Off set, they are quite warm with each other,” the source says.

In order to reside closer to the Film City set while filming Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani (2015), Ranveer had first moved into a five-star, and then purchased an apartment in the vicinity. His rumoured flame Deepika Padukone is also put up nearby. She spends her time in a five-star, or at Ranveer’s residence.
