Bigg Boss is the perfect show for controversy and light entertainment. Love it or hate it, people can’t stop watching the show. The love triangles, the ugly fights, the tasks, it’s all good fun!
You have a handful of contestants who try their level best to maintain peace in the house, while the rest are busy disrupting it and conspiring against the others. Some try to take a stand, and some try to maintain a balance. Well, surviving inside that house is one hell of a job and not everyone can deal with the pressure.

And, like every season there is one contestant who has been in the spotlight since the first day of the show. ‘Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai’ actor Shilpa Shinde is already creating a ton of buzz. It began with a fight with Vikas Gupta and then there was no stopping the avalanche. The next day, she fought with other contestants as well. Talk about ratings jumping through the roof!
Remember the incident with her washing utensils and Vikas apologising for his act. Things didn’t go too well, as Shilpa clearly didn’t give a damn and royally ignored him while singing a song. When people complained about her behaviour, she totally owned the fact that she wanted to be that way and is unapologetic about it. Wow! That’s one hell of a way to begin the season.

While you might think she is overdoing it, she is nailing how she wants to be perceived. Mired in controversy for the whole year, Shilpa has learned a few things and is using it to her own advantage in the BB house. From being thrown out of India’s most popular show, a ban on working as an actor to sexual harassment charges, her journey has been a roller coaster ride.
When she left the show, it totally left everyone surprised. After all, who didn’t like Angoori’s innocence and her pet dialogue, “Sahi padke hai”.

From being called unprofessional, turning up late to throwing tantrums on the set, she was literally accused of being unprofessional.
But if you thought she was the one who would silently deal with things, you are mistaken. She gave it back big time when she lodged a FIR against the producer Sanjay Kholi stating that he had sexually harassed her.

Being vocal about it she said during a media meet, “”Sanjay ji told me that for the promotion of the show, we will have to go out and that we will have a nice time. Also, in the make-up room, he came close to me and photo lete huye and apna haath rakha mujhpe…I could feel that touch was not right.” She further added that she had shared this with her then co-star Saumya Tandon who did not take it seriously and instead said, “Humari industry mei koi rape nahi karta,”
In a rebuttal, the showrunners released a statement saying that they will see Shilpa in court. Later, she was even expelled from the Cine And TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA). CINTAA spokesperson released a statement saying that she was expelled as members voted against her and Shilpa declared that she was pleased that she wasn’t a member anymore.

Having said all that, we totally get that all this is a lot to take in. But people who have followed Shilpa are very well aware of this chapter of her life.
Some might support her, some might not like her, but like it or not, she is a controversy queen and knows it. Now, doesn’t that make her the perfect pick for the show?

Playing the victim card, she is putting her stamp on the show slowly and steadily. Though many contestants are still planning on what to do from here on out, she is all in. Bigg Boss is all about being a shark……and she is exactly that. Kudos Shilpa, you are rocking it!
