2017 has been pretty good for Indian skipper Virat Kohli. From receiving the Padma Shri award to getting married to Bollywood star Anushka Sharma, he possibly didn’t need another reason to be happy about.

But now he definitely has got one.

According to a report titled ‘Rise of the Millennials: India’s Most Valuable Celebrity Brands’ by Duff & Phelps, which is a premier global valuation firm, the most valuable celebrity brand of this year is Virat Kohli. And for the first time ever, The King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has slipped to second position on this list of India’s Most Valuable Celebrity Brands.

Virat Kohli topping the list means he is the first choice of brands to engage and attract customers. He now has a brand value of USD 144 million registering a growth of 56 per cent from last year and this increase is primarily driven by his growing endorsement fees, on-field performances and rise in popularity index.

While Shah Rukh is second with a brand value of $106 million, Deepika Padukone is at third with a value of $93 million.

Kohli endorses 20 brands as of October 2017, while Khan and Padukone endorse 21 and 23 brands, respectively.

On fourth we have Akshay Kumar with $47 million. Kumar has had a massive shift from the 13th spot in 2016 to number 4, thanks to the number of box office hits he has given this year.

Ranveer Singh is on number five with a value of $42 million.

He is followed by Salman Khan ($39 million), Hrithik Roshan at 7th ($38 million), Amitabh Bachchan at 8th ($36 million), Alia Bhatt at 9th ($34 million) and Varun Dhawan at the 10th position ($32 million).

On the other hand, ace shuttler PV Sindhu is the first female sports personality to feature in the top 15 celebrities, occupying the 15th slot with a brand valuation of $15 million.

Former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the only other sports person to feature in the top 15 list, taking the 13th position with a brand value of $21 million.

This is just another feather in Virat’s cap as he was recently ranked above Argentinean and Barcelona football legend Lionel Messi as one of the most-valuable brands among sports athletes by Forbes.

How we wish our 2017 was as great as his!

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh are one of the most adorable couples in Bollywood. Time and again, as soon as a picture of them appears online, we can’t help but notice how they always look so in love. Both of them keep sharing moments from their life on social media and birthdays are no exception. 

Today, Riteish turns 39 and obviously, his wife took to social media to express how grateful she is to have him as her life partner. 

Along with a lovely photo, Genelia wrote, “Happy Birthday @Riteishd … Thank you for being my everything.. For making Life about Loving you.. YOU WILL FOREVER BE MY ALWAYS.”

And just when we thought that the two of them couldn’t be more perfect, Riteish went on and tweeted another message with two photos attached. And this tweet first surprised us to the core and then made us feel jealous AF.

Now, Tesla needs no introduction but what surprised us the most was the fact that this is only the second Tesla in the country. You might remember the fact that the first Tesla in the country was recently imported by a businessman as Tesla hasn’t launched in India yet.

Pretty sure all single men out there are now hoping to get a wife like Genelia. 

On the work front, Riteish is working on ‘Total Dhamaal’, which also stars Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgn and Jaaved Jaffery. The film is slated to release on December 7, 2018.

When you bring together two actors like Salman Khan and Govinda, they are bound to create a blockbuster. And the 2007 release ‘Partner’ was just the proof of that.

Their excellent comic timing is still loved by the audience so much that a sequel is all that they need. And looks like their prayers might be answered. 

According to a report by Mid Day, we’ll soon get to see the duo in the sequel of ‘Partner’. 

Although the first part was helmed by David Dhawan, the second installment would see Salman’s brother, Sohail Khan as the director. This is based on the fact that Sohail Khan has already registered two titles – ‘Carry On Partner’ and ‘Partner 2’.

A while ago, you must have heard some rumors about fallout between Salman and Govinda. Apparently, Govinda went on record to say that he “should not expect too much” from Salman. Probably, because Govinda expected Salman to launch his daughter, Tina Ahuja in Bollywood. But since that did not happen, Govinda was left unimpressed.

But in an interview, when Govinda was asked about working with Salman in the future, he said “Why will I not work with him? We don’t have any issues with each other.” And with this latest news, it seems like there are no hard feelings between them which of course is great news for their fans.

The report also states that apart from Salman and Govinda, Sohail will also cast two other young actors. 

But in case you have started squealing with excitement already, we need to ask you to calm down because it looks like it isn’t happening anytime soon. On being asked about the sequel he said, “I’m not making the film right away.”

Although it is kind of disappointing to hear this but as long as we ARE getting a sequel, we don’t mind waiting for a few more years.

Currently, Salman Khan is busy shooting for ‘Race 3’. On the other hand, Govinda will be seen alongside ‘Fukrey Returns’ actor Varun Sharma in ‘Fry Day’.

It is highly unlikely that you haven’t seen at least one of the movies from the ‘Ocean’s’ trilogy and it is also highly unlikely that they didn’t make it to your favorites list.

And that all-female cast has got some of the most talented and beautiful actresses- Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna and Helena Bonham Carter. If this doesn’t equal sheer epicness, we don’t know what does. 
Sandra Bullock would play Debbie Ocean, the sister of George Clooney’s Danny. After getting out of jail, she recruits the other seven women to help her pull off a jewellery heist at the annual Met Gala in New York.
To give us a little sneak-peek, Warner Bros. released the first poster of the upcoming ‘Ocean’s 8’ with the star-studded cast and it is slick AF. Clad in coats and stunning sunglasses, this poster has made us pretty sure about the fact that a gang of thieves has never looked this good.

The poster comes up with what might be the best tagline of the year- “Every con has its pros”. Simple and genius!
If this still doesn’t excite you, then here’s more news. Reportedly, apart from the already brilliant line-up, the cast is also set to include Olivia Munn, Dakota Fanning, Richard Armitage, Katie Holmes, James Corden, Adriana Lima, Kim Kardashian, Hailey Baldwin, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and Anna Wintour. Phew!

So what’s better than seeing 8 gorgeous women pulling off a top-secret heist? Seeing so many gorgeous women coming together on screen.

Also, the movie would feature Matt Damon, reprising his role as Linus Caldwell, with Carl Reiner also said to have a cameo as his Ocean’s Eleven character.

While the exact release date of the movie has not yet been revealed, it’ll be released across the world in the summer of 2018. We absolutely cannot wait to watch what this stunning group of thieves have in store for us!

 

For some reason, expectations from horror movies are always set high and unfortunately, only a handful of them are up to the mark. But when it comes to the’Insidious’ franchise, fans have never been left disappointed.

While the first three parts of the franchise managed to scare the crap out of almost everyone, the fourth part looks even more promising and the first trailer, that dropped in September this year was enough proof of the same.

However, it looks like the makers will do anything and everything to fulfill the human want of being shit scared. They dropped a new trailer of the fourth installment ‘Insidious: The Last Key’ and it is worse (or should we say better?) than the first one.

Safe to say that the first trailer was a little slow-paced as compared to this one which is a little too fast-paced for us to even absorb. The new trailer will literally make you gasp and jump of out seat or bed or whatever it is you are sitting on because it is filled with some classic jump scares.

In case you aren’t familiar with the storyline, let us enlighten you.

Lin Shaye plays Dr. Elise Rainier, a parapsychologist who helps other people get rid of whatever paranormal activities are taking place in their abode. But this time around, she will face her most personal haunting yet: in her own family home. The new trailer adds another element to her investigation: a haunting whistle.

In order to save her family, Elise will go to any lengths to fight the supernatural entities who basically like to appear suddenly and scare the crap out of the characters as well the audience. (What else do you expect from a horror film?). ‘The Last Key’ will pick up right where the events of Chapter 3 left off. And in a nutshell, it looks like the movie will compel us to sleep with our lights on.
