If you managed to cure your ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ hangover in the past few days, then you will have noticed the entry of this warrior; who isn’t exactly a superhero but definitely not any less than the ones who have superpowers.

We’re talking about the upcoming action movie ‘Robin Hood’, the trailer of which quite effortlessly made its way into our YouTube feeds over the weekend. Honestly, this trailer has left us with all kinds of feels and I am going to break it down one by one, right now.

To begin with, for me this movie seemed to be looming heavily on ‘Game of Thrones’ kind of theme. Be it death scenes, romance or an intense action sequence, I could sense a lot of similarity between the two. But, the CGI needs to be given its due credit as the action scenes are awesome.

Honestly, in this 2 minute video I was actually hoping (not really) for Jon Snow or a White Walker to make a cameo, this would have turned the trailer into a bigger crossover than…you already know what we mean. Maybe we won’t miss ‘Game of Thrones’ after this movie’s release? Nah! We’ll still miss it.

Another thing that this trailer taught me is that Medieval England was quite advanced and way ahead of their time. People back then were so fancy, their fashion sense was so on point that Robin Hood didn’t wear anything less than a leather jacket with machine-stitched hoodie. If someone told me that this was not really a movie, but an advertisement for a leather jacket, showcasing the agility and flexibility one gets after wearing it, I would have totally believed them.

In all fairness, maybe they were experimental with their outfits back then, but were stitching machines even invented by that time? Or was it just the costume designer who forgot that it was supposed to be a period fictional drama? As expected, Twitter unapologetically trolled the movie and the costume like it’s no one’s damn business.

What in the world? I can’t believe they did this. Fully machine stitched. Looking at production stills, all costumes obviously machine stitched. They didn’t even try to fake hand sewn. The New Robin Hood line, coming to a GAP near you.

The trailer also made me feel that director Otto Bathurst (known for ‘Peaky Blinders’) was confused while making the movie. Questions like these were probably going on in his mind – “Should we turn him into a superhero or leave him like that? Can we make him look like a superhero without any powers but just a fancy bow and arrow?” Well, the ridiculous rate at which he is shooting arrows can give anyone a headache, so we guess that kind of makes him a ‘superhero’ in his own right.

This revamped fancier version of ‘Robin Hood’ looks real badass and deserves a shot. The movie features Taron Egerton as Robin Hood, Jamie Foxx as Little John, Ben Mendelsohn as Hood’s enemy Sheriff of Nottingham, Jamie Dornan as Little Scarlet and Eve Hewson as Maid Marian.

I am so into this movie, particularly because I want to know what the outcome is going to be like, given how the turn of events is. You won’t have to wait for long. ‘Robin Hood’ which is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio is hitting the theatres on November 21.

Until last Friday, we all were desperately waiting for the release of this year’s most-anticipated movie, ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (an amalgamation of more superheroes, more superpowers, more capes and more deaths). Today, we are reeling from the emotions (read shock) the movie’s ending has left us with.

I am sure there were people who left the movie hall feeling empty inside. After all, it was one movie that turned 10 years of bottled-up expectations, a journey that started in 2008 with ‘Iron Man’, into a 2-and-a-half-hour film. While, some of us have moved on from the ‘Infinity War’ fever to other superhero movies like ‘Ant Man and The Wasp’ and ‘Deadpool 2’; others are busy looking at these revelations related to our superheroes, which are blowing our minds away like nothing else.

And the recent superhero to join the bandwagon is Tom Holland, who plays Spider Man. Now, folks, I don’t want to be blamed for giving away spoilers without any warning. So, if you still haven’t seen the movie, just STOP right here.

In the finale, Thanos manages to complete his gauntlet by collecting all the Infinity Stones and uses it wipe out half of the MCU universe. Watching characters like Bucky Barnes, Groot, Spider Man, Dr. Strange, T’Challa, Mantis, Falcon and Scarlett Witch fade away into thin air gave us all kinds of feels.

In fact, one of the most heartbreaking scenes was Tom Holland’s character Peter Parker’s death, in front of his mentor Tony Stark. Right before he begins to slowly fade away like dust, he says “I don’t feel so good Mr. Stark” and then the more heart wrenching “I don’t want to go, please I don’t want to go Mr. Stark. I am sorry, Tony, I am sorry.” This was one scene where even the toughest of us couldn’t control our emotions and were left teary-eyed.

According to Joe Russo, the man who directed the movie, those lines were completely improvised by Tom. Russo revealed this while talking about the characters, at the University of Iowa.

A Reddit user who was attending the session shared this piece of information on social media. He even added that Valkyrie survived the mass death scene. In fact, when Russo was asked why Dr. Strange gave the Time Stone to Thanos, he said “this is the only way”, dropping subtle hints that he probably ‘gave the stone to achieve victory.’

After knowing this, we guess Tom Holland deserves a huge round of applause for improvising and delivering such a fabulous performance.

And the best part is that Cruise never gives up. If there’s anyone who can ever beat Tom Cruise in pulling off difficult scenes, it’s probably Tom Cruise himself.

The fact that he is 55 years old, looks like a 25-year-old and can give anyone half his age a run for their money; does not surprise us anymore. If someone said that Cruise has been sipping from a secret ‘fountain of youth’ hidden in his backyard, I’d probably believe that to be true.

When it comes to filming action movies, Tom Cruise is one of those few actors (or probably the only one) who doesn’t use a stunt double, performs extremely dangerous big-ticket stunts himself and then will walk away like it’s nobody’s business. And this time ‘Ethan Hunt’ has probably beaten his own record of doing some of the toughest stunts by going to greater heights for ‘Mission: Impossible Fallout’, quite literally.

According to a report in South China Morning Post, Tom Cruise revealed at the CinemaCon in Las Vegas, the details of his high altitude scenes and ‘low open free-fall parachute jumps’ that he made for the movie. In fact, the number of jumps alone will make your jaw drop, so we can already imagine how exhausting and tough it must have been for the cast and crew of the movie. Cruise even won the Pioneer of the Year award.

Reportedly, Cruise jumped from 25,000 feet to 30,000 feet, flying through the air at a speed up to 220 miles per hour. It is usually used by military special operators and he made these jumps with the help of an oxygen mask. If the fact that he was shooting at such high altitudes wasn’t enough, Cruise jumped off the plane nearly 106 times from a C-17 military plane while training for the stunts and to get the scene right.

Director Christopher McQuarrie said at CinemaCon, “For these films, it’s about what we can do that’s physically possible, but without killing Tom.” He further joked that it didn’t make sense “falling out of a perfectly functioning aircraft.” Whoever said that life of an actor is easy clearly hasn’t met Cruise and McQuarrie.

What’s more, a camera operator was also trained to use a special helmet camera to follow Cruise in the scene in-flight and then fall backward from the plane before him.

From getting badly injured, recovering from that, and then still performing his stunts by himself; deserves a huge round of applause and all our respect. The movie is hitting the theatres on July 27 and even if you aren’t a Tom Cruise fan (although we highly doubt that), but this revelation along has to be a reason for you to head to the movie theatres.

Summers are here and so are the plans to make that long-awaited beach trip happen. I purposely didn’t mention Goa, because that will open the floodgates to the anger and frustration bottled up inside you right now. At least, it pinches me a lot every time I get added to a new WhatsApp group with Goa written in the subject. Because it eventually gets deleted after a heavy exchange of ‘good morning’ messages and lame memes.

But, our beloved celebrities are different. They work hard and party harder. And their vacation pictures…are GOALS. Honestly, we still can’t get over Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff’s hot vacation pictures.

Talking about vacation, Ranveer Singh is in Switzerland right now guys, and I guess you already know about it. I also know what you are thinking, “Why should we care?”

I agree, it’s not like he’s some ‘door ka rishtedaar’ who will get us fridge magnets with ‘I heart Switzerland’ written on it. But, we’re still excited.
