If you think you are falling short on reasons to watch the ‘X-Men’ series from the scratch, we just found one ultimate reason for you and no it’s not an addition of a new character. The reason is James McAvoy.

Why? Because how else can we believe that this man who we are going to talk about now is the same guy, who once went to extreme lengths as Mr. Tumnus to help his friend Lucy Pevensie, from the White Witch in ‘Chronicles of Narnia’.

This is the same guy who later went on to become Professor X in the Marvel Universe, a telekinesis expert who f**ked our minds like no one else.

And if you can stretch your mind a little far back, you might even imagine him as Robbie Turner from ‘Atonement’, Bruce Robertson from ‘Filth’ or Kevin Wendell Crumb from ‘Split’.

The point is we don’t think we are the only ones who remember James McAvoy, solely for one of these avatars. A skinny or let’s say a regular British bloke, who was never close to being hench.

Can anyone hear faint sounds of Armie Hammer shouting “NO”, as McAvoy steals the tag of ‘Internet’s new boyfriend’ away from him?

Edgar Wright needs no introduction. The man who has earlier given us movies like ‘Grindhouse’, ‘The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn’, ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’; you can expect nothing but the best from him. The insane success of his 2017 release ‘Baby Driver’ only goes on to prove the same.

It’s not a superhero movie, neither a sequel to any hit franchise; which seemed to be a success mantra looming heavily on Hollywood this year. The story was pretty simple, yet managed to strike the right chord with the audience. Ansel Elgort did a fabulous job as the talented (obsessed with music) getaway driver Baby who drives around bank robbers after getting forced into working for a crime boss, played by Kevin Spacey. How he fights for his life, love and freedom; weaves the rest of the plot.

In fact, while most of you are yet to watch ‘Baby Driver’, a movie that smashed all box-office records this year, director Edgar Wright is already out with news about a sequel. Although it’s not confirmed whether Wright will don the director’s hat for the sequel or not, he sure plans to write the screenplay. Wright recently revealed that Sony approached him for a sequel.   

“The deal is being hammered out as we speak,” Wright told Entertainment Weekly. He further teased us by saying, “So, hopefully, I’m going to at least write a second one. I’ve definitely got lots of ideas. Whether it’s the next movie, I don’t know. I’m just working that out at the moment actually. I have a couple of things that I’ve been developing, and also a couple of new ideas that I had, and all the nice things that I’ve been offered since (the release of ‘Baby Driver’).” Here’s the trailer of the first installment.

This movie was made on a budget of $34 million, ‘Baby Driver’ earned $226 million globally, making it one of 2017’s biggest success. While Wright did a fantastic job with the film, a huge deal of credit also goes to the ensemble cast of the film – Ansel Elgort, Jon Hamm, Lily James, Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx and Jon Bernthal.

So, while we don’t know what the movie will be named – ‘Baby Driver 2’ or ‘Return of Baby Driver’ or ‘Baby Driver Does It Again’ or whatever, we are already rooting for the sequel.  

While speaking about his next film, he said that he wants to roll it out as soon as possible. “I would like to get back on the saddle very shortly, because – slightly beyond my control – but there was four years between ‘The World’s End’ and ‘Baby Driver’. I don’t want it to be that long again. I would love to have a film out in the next two years”. So does that mean we can expect the ‘Baby Driver’ sequel anytime soon?

Those who have seen the movie will know that it had a vague ending, where Baby was seen reuniting with his girlfriend Deborah, after serving time for his crimes in prison, but was that for real? The movie left the audience confused, urging them to imagine or interpret what really happened. The struggle of waiting for this sequel is real and only the ‘Baahubali’ fans will realize how true these words are. We waited for two years, scratching our heads wondering “Why Katappa killed Baahubali?”

Ever since the allegations of sexual abuse surfaced against actor Kevin Spacey, things have not been good for ‘House Of Cards’ and Netflix. 

Amidst reports of scrapping the show, Netflix has now come to an agreement to resume the production of this political thriller and the shooting of season 6 will start in early 2018.

The indefinite pause on the show’s production has now finally been lifted and the final season is now coming back with a bang on Netflix, but without the conniving protagonist Frank Underwood. In fact, it’s also been rumoured that Netflix is planning to launch a ‘House of Cards’ spin-off.

Ted Sarandos, chief content officer for Netflix, said it will be a “good creative conclusion” to the series. Sarandos was further quoted as saying, “We’re really excited about bringing some closure to the show for fans.”

According to Variety, the producers were contemplating to kill Frank Underwood, the devious, Machiavellian politician and focus on his wife in the final season.

‘House Of Cards’ was Netflix’s first original series that made its debut in 2013. Within no time the show’s popularity was hitting the roof, for reasons everyone knows – amazing plot, impeccable performance and most importantly, Frank Underwood.

Although it’s difficult to imagine ‘House of Cards’ without Spacey, fans can be assured that they are not losing out on any thrill because Claire Underwood, in the later seasons has shown what all she is capable of and that she truly deserves to stand equal to Spacey’s character.

From a lobbyist running an environmental nonprofit organization to climbing up the ladder to sit on positions like Second Lady of the United States, First Lady of the United States, the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Vice President of the United States and finally the 47th President of the United States; we don’t think there’s anything this woman can’t do.

Since the beginning of the series, we knew that Claire wasn’t going to be a trophy wife and that she will have her own storyline. And with her performance, she proved that Claire, who is often called as ‘ice-queen’, will stop at nothing to get what she wants and probably that’s what makes us want to see more of her. Honestly, we can’t wait to see how the story unfolds, now that Claire Underwood is not under Frank’s thumb.

In fact, Wright once stated that she felt Claire Underwood was the equal of Frank Underwood and demanded and equal pay for her performance. Well, given that she was the first actress to win a Golden Globe Award (Best Actress for Television Series Drama) for a web online-only series, we think she deserves all the credits for making us love and hate Claire.

This last season of ‘House of Cards’ will be shorter than the rest and will have eight episodes, but like they say “good things come in small packages”, so we can’t wait for this last season to release. 

Recently, Kevin Spacey came out as gay on Twitter and apologized publicly, after he was alleged of sexually assaulting actor Anthony Rapp, when he was 14-year-old. Media Rights Capital, the studio behind the show, said they were “deeply troubled by the news concerning Kevin Spacey.” 

The 90s was possibly one of the best times to live in, and the credit majorly goes to Hollywood for giving us movies like ‘Baby’s Day Out’, ‘Jurassic Park’, ‘The Matrix’ and ‘Fight Club’ to name a few. Despite some being over a decade old, we still love to watch these movies (some of which top our binge list even today).

One such movie that till date sends chills down our spine is ‘Jurassic Park’. At a time when we were still playing with toy cars and basking in our love for amusement parks, this 1993 American science-fiction film came along and etched the fear of dinosaurs in our minds.

It’s not that we were naïve to believe in the existence of dinosaurs (or maybe we were), but the fact that there was a theme park on a Costa Rican island called Isla Nublar, solely dedicated to cloned dinosaurs, did make many of us shudder with fear. Soon, enough the ‘Jurassic World’ franchise took the whole world by storm and almost 24 years later, we are here again reminiscing our hidden love for these deadly and vicious creatures, who won’t think twice before eating you up.

We are talking about the upcoming movie ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ that continues from where it left in the last movie ‘Jurassic World’. A few days ago, writer and producer Colin Trevorrow teased us with a glimpse of Chris Pratt petting an adorable baby velociraptor. This six-second teaser was enough for us to realize that we still fancy these cloned dinosaurs and we don’t think we’ll get over them anytime soon.

We don’t think we’re the only ones who instantly remembered the unquestionable hero, Blue, when it was a baby. Are we?

Now, ahead of the release of the full length trailer, the makers have teased us with yet another clip of Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and another new addition to the cast, running to save their lives amidst chaos, explosion and of course, a new breed of deadly dinosaurs. This 15-second teaser shows Chris Pratt, who will reprise his role as Owen Grady, coming out of smoke while shouting “run”. Before Bryce Dallas Howard and Justice Smith could realize, they see a bunch of dinosaurs running towards them as a volcano erupts in the background.

While the first teaser was warm, this clip shows how fierce things can be when you are living in a world of dinosaurs. If you too feel that this teaser was too short, hold on to your excitement as the trailer is expected to drop on December 7 i.e. this Thursday.

Directed by J.A. Bayona and helmed by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ is expected to hit the theatres on June 22, 2018 and if reports are to be believed, it might get an early release in India. In addition to Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and newbie Justice Smith, the movie will also feature Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm, Ted Levine, Toby Jones, Geraldine Chaplin and Daniella Pineda.
