The 'Bioscopewala' Trailer Brings Kabuliwala Back To Life & Takes Us Down The Memory Lane

Rabindranath Tagore’s short story Kabuliwala made our childhood. If it wasn’t for Tagore, our childhood would have been slightly different and less beautiful.

Taking us down the memory lane comes Danny Denzongpa’s ‘Bioscopewala’, an adaptation of Tagore’s classic story. While Kabuliwala has its own place in your heart, ‘Bioscopewala’ is as engrossing as a movie can get.

Danny as bioscopewala is every bit intriguing and the story takes forward from where

Kabuliwala ends. Giving the classic old tale a new twist is Deb Medhekar’s ‘Bioscopewala’, an adaptation of Tagore’s famous short story.

For people who don’t know, Kabuliwala (1892) is a story that touches your heart and soul. In Tagore’s story, he was a dry fruit seller from Afghanistan who becomes friends with a young girl, Mini. Their friendship grows and he exchanges various stories with her. All of a sudden he disappears, only to appear once again after a long time. He meets his little friend, only to realise things have changed and she is not that young anymore.

The makers released the teaser of the film last week and today the trailer was unveiled. From the first to the last frame, it takes you to a different world, where you instantly become invested. We are introduced to a grown up Mini Basu (Geetanjali Thapa), who loses her father in a crash.

Trying to connect again with her childhood, she recalls her memories of Danny. The movie has various narratives giving us glimpses of different stories of the main characters.

The trailer gives us a sneak peek without revealing much about the story. Danny steals the show with his powerful, raw and emotional portrayal without even speaking a word. This is one of those trailers that you just can’t miss.

Directed by Deb Medhekar, the movie also stars Tisca Chopra and Adil Hussain and will hit the screens on 25th May 2018.

From endorsing brands, doing some fabulous movies to entertaining us even on the small screen, he has been ‘the’ man who can do anything and everything.

While actors take a hefty amount to promote a cause or a product, Senior Bachchan has been associated with a cause that changed the face of India. And guess what? He didn’t even charge a penny for it. It was an advertisement by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the eradication of polio.

Yeah, this ad, we all remember it so well. If it wasn’t for this megastar, spreading the word about polio wouldn’t have been this easy. India is now polio-free, and a major credit for that goes to Mr. Bachchan.

Calling him a true hero wouldn’t be an exaggeration and that’s exactly what Bill Gates did. He applauded the Bollywood icon and wrote on Twitter, “Real-world superheroes rarely make the headlines. But what if that wasn’t the case? A stirring piece by Bollywood actor @SrBachchan.”

In return, Mr. Bachchan tweeted back saying that he isn’t the one to be credited for this work and that he was just the face of the campaign as there were hundreds of people working on it, who made it possible. Bachchan became the UNICEF goodwill ambassador for the polio eradication campaign in India in 2002.

Well, Ranveer Singh was supposed to perform for Sonam’s mehendi/sangeet last night. But unfortunately he couldn’t make it and the whole world wanted to know where Ranveer Singh was.

Alright we admit, we were asking the same question as well. The entire B-town was there but we cared more about Ranveer (it is kind of obvious). After all, who would not have wanted to see him grooving on the dance floor?

We almost gave up our hopes of seeing ‘Padmaavat’ actor when Sonam and Anand were all set to take their vows.

One by one, Bollywood’s A-listers arrived, dressed in their wedding fineries, looking bright and desi for the summer wedding. But there was no sign of Ranveer. And then he arrived like a boss taking away all the limelight, making the paparazzi go crazy for his picture. And we couldn’t help but just talk about him.

It has finally happened. Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are married and fans clearly can’t keep calm. The couple had an intimate Sikh wedding at Sonam’s aunt Kavita Singh’s home, Rockdale in Bandra, Mumbai. As evident through hundreds of pictures on social media, the wedding played out with the entire Bollywood fraternity in tow.

Just like the mehendi ceremony, the wedding ceremony too had a dress code to be followed and it was Indian traditional. After throwing a starry Mehendi bash where we saw the whole B-town dancing to Badshah and Sukhbir’s beats, the duo had an intimate wedding. The function was held at Sonam’s aunt Kavita Singh’s home Rockdale in Bandra, Mumbai.

Sonam and Anand are getting married today in a traditional Sikh ceremony. The ceremony will take place from 11 am to 12.30 pm, followed by lunch.

Sonam and Anand will get married in a traditional Sikh ceremony on May 8. The ceremony will take place from 11 am to 12.30pm, followed by lunch.

Later, there will be a grand reception at night at The Leela, which will be a happening event with the entire film fraternity attending the function. After this, Sonam will fly for the Cannes International Film Festival.

It is day two of Anand Ahuja and Sonam Kapoor’s big fat Punjabi wedding function. And believe it or not, we just can’t get enough of the lovely couple. Dressed in white and gold, the two look like a jodi made in heaven.

Set to get hitched on May 8, the pre-wedding bash started yesterday, taking the Internet by a storm. Though it is an intimate wedding, Sonam’s function literally looks like a scene from Karan Johar’s 100-crore movie.

Well, we saw tons of Mehendi function pictures yesterday, but today it’s the official day. The grand celebration is taking place at the actor’s pad in Sunteck Signature Island at Bandra Kurla Complex. Keeping it all desi, the dress code for the function is ‘Indian Festive-Shades of White’, as we read in the invitation cards.

As we reported before, the function has a lot in store with a surprise performance by her dashing dad Anil Kapoor and another by her close friends, cousins, and relatives.
