While most celebrities try to stay away from controversies, Salman Khan, on the other hand, seems to love being in the news for all the wrong reasons. Instead of trying to avoid saying and doing things that can potentially land him in trouble, the Bollywood star is doing just the opposite.

So, when you have the nerve to make callous comments, you also need to be ready for the following backlash as well. After all, what goes around comes around!

Yes, to all the Bhaijaan fans out there, I know the poor actor is always dragged into controversies. He is never at fault. He is as innocent as a kid. He is a 52-year-old man-child.

Maintaining his streak of imprudent actions, this time the multi-talented (when it comes to making a fool of himself) Salman Khan fat-shamed a 42-year-old woman on a dance reality show.

The actor publicly made fun of Meenal Dhapre’s weight not just once but multiple times. However, the contestant was so stunned to see her idol Madhuri Dixit Nene before her, that she was oblivious to Salman’s comments. But his harsh remarks did catch everyone else’s attention.

It all happened when Meenal requested a hug from Madhuri before her performance. Madhuri obliged and the excited contestant came running when Salman said: “araam araam se, kahin stage na toot jaaye” (Careful, the stage might just break). Besides the appalling comment, it was also shocking to see how all the other celebrities sitting there let this slide as a joke.

And that wasn’t it. Looking at Madhuri and Meenal talking, Salman asked if they knew each other. To which the contestant replied that she comes from a ‘chhota shahar’ (small town). And since he is the representative of ‘Being Human’, he remarked how she could fit in there? Ironic isn’t it?

Salman honestly, what the hell is wrong with you and your so-called comic sense?

After hugging Madhuri, Meenal promptly lost her balance and fell. We all probably would as well, if we ever saw our idols right before us.

Later on, Meenal gave an entertaining performance on Mera Piya Ghar Aaya from ‘Yaarana’. All the while, Salman stood close to the stage and when she concluded her performance he said, “main wahan isliye khada tha ki aap kahin phir se tappa khaaker gir gaye toh?”

He straight away compared her to a ball. How ignorant were the celebrities and the audience, who did not feel the need to call out Salman for his insolent and disrespectful behaviour?

If not for anything, just respect the fact that she can dance and you suck at that job literally. You might have found this funny, but your sense of humour is as low as your IQ. 

Dear Bhaijaan, I know you can get away with anything, but how about showing some responsibility, as millions of people look up to you? Or let me guess, you don’t really know what fat-shaming actually means. If that is the case, then don’t worry, there are ways to enlighten people like you.

Lives of celebrities are nothing less than an open book. There is nothing about them that can be kept hidden or under wraps. The more they try, the more their dirty laundry is out in the public. For years now, Ranveer and Deepika have been going strong and are rumoured to be getting married soon. But looks like there is some trouble in their paradise. Deepika is kind of unsure and her ex Ranbir is the reason behind it.

A close friend of Deepika Padukone told Deccan Chronicle, “Ranveer is completely committed to the relationship and wholeheartedly devoted to her. But Deepika fears her heart may be broken again and this time she won’t be able to take it.”

Talking some more about it, the friend revealed how Deepika was ready to give up her career just for Ranbir. “She was looking at a life ahead with Ranbir. She wanted marriage and babies and was even ready to give up her career to be Mrs. Ranbir Kapoor. They broke up and Ranbir moved on.”

It’s World Environment Day and people across the globe are doing their bit to promote causes that will help us in building a better environment. And just like every year, even this year, the United Nations Environment council has decided to promote a new cause of #BeatPlasticPollution this year.

Actress Dia Mirza for a very long time has been working on various environmental causes that have made some difference in India. Taking up the #BeatPlasticPollution cause, she was seen nominating some actors which included Alia Bhatt.

Alia was seen taking up the cause too and creating awareness on social media. Giving up plastic, she has asked everyone to switch to steel or glass bottles. She even mentioned how plastic bottles take 450 years or more to decompose, harming us and our environment, which is a very serious point for all of us to note.

Taking about plastic, Kangana said in a video, “According to reports, in 30 years, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. I urge everyone to ban the use of plastic bags. We also saw Indian yogi, Sadguru, requesting people to quit the usage of plastic.  He pointed out a very valid point and wrote on Twitter, “we are looking at plastic pollution as an isolated ecological problem. Well, I shifted to metal bottles almost a year back, thanks to my mom. And now we really hope the word these celebs are spreading will bring about the necessary change. This World Environment Day, let’s come together and work towards building a greener future for the coming generations.

There is no smoke without fire and in case of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, we can see the whole city burning right under our noses. 

The two are inseparable and we aren’t just saying it for viewership. It’s not just Hollywood but even Bollywood envy this new ‘power’ couple. And why not? After all, these two define what’s called ‘best of both worlds’. 

Earlier this week, the two were spotted in various places together. A week ago, they were attending the Beauty and the Beast Live in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The next day we saw them enjoying a Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game. The videos of the two together walking to their seats had literally set the Internet on fire.

In a statement, which officially confirmed his relation with Alia, Ranbir admitted that both the actors were actually seeing each other. “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space,” he said.

It’s been reported that Alia and Ranbir’s mom Neetu Kapoor have been spending some time with each other and bonding quite well. While no one even got a whiff of this relationship, there was someone very close to Ranbir, with whom he shared everything before making it official.

Well, now we know what is the truth after all. There is no denying that the two make a wonderful pair and we are very happy for them. 

On the work front, Ranbir and Alia have wrapped up the first schedule of shooting for ‘Brahmastra’ in Bulgaria. The movie is one of the most anticipated films of 2019, where we will see the duo with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. The movie is a fantasy trilogy and also stars Mouni Roy.
