Singer Zayn Malik has added to his collection of body tattoos. This time, he has got inked on his shaved head. The “Pillowtalk” singer, 25, shared a photo of himself on Instagram on Friday night with no caption, reports people.com.

The photo, taken in black and white with a psychedelic effect to it creating swirls moving about on his black jacket, showed Malik with his back to the camera as he revealed the left side of his head, shaved and bearing what looked like a tattoo behind his left ear.

His ex, Hadid liked the photo on Instagram, just one day after the singer was photographed visiting the 22-year-old at her home on Thursday and spotted leaving the next day in the same hoodie he wore the night before. In March, Malik shared two now-deleted photos of new tattoos he had added to his ink collection.

Yesterday, Shruti Haasan and Vidyut Jammwal began shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar’s next, an action drama

Mahesh Manjrekar, Shruti Haasan and Vidyut Jammwal

Yesterday, Shruti Haasan and Vidyut Jammwal began shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar’s next, an action drama. The actors had earlier teamed up for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Yaara, which has yet to see the light of day.

Shruti had a shaky start to her career, with films such as “Luck”, “Anaganaga O Dheerudu” and “7am Arivu” failing to elicit expected response. But Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu film “Gabbar Singh”, a remake of “Dabangg”, changed the game for Shruti and got her into the big league.

The actress says she has learnt a lot over all these years, with the art of remaining patient, being the most important thing.

“It has really been about patience. I have learnt a lot of patience and still I am not that patient which I like to be. But yes, it has been better than it was before… I have learnt to be more empathetic.” Shruti wants to continue on the same path of growing and learning. “The challenge is to make something new in the path of growing and maintaining balance.”

Shilpa Shetty’s pet cat Simba is back home. The furry feline, which went missing on Wednesday (as reported in hitlist yesterday), was found in her neighbourhood in Juhu by a security guard

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty’s pet cat Simba is back home. The furry feline, which went missing on Wednesday (as reported in hitlist yesterday), was found in her neighbourhood in Juhu by a security guard. A relieved Shilpa tells us that she will put a GPRS tracking device so that he can never get lost. But most cats are clever enough to find their way home.

On April 20, the actor-entrepreneur posted a picture of the pet and wrote, “Found out through our cameras that Simba walked out of the house around 2 pm on Wednesday. We are desperately searching for him in and around Juhu. He’s a beige Himalayan Persian with a grey furry tail. Really worried he hasn’t eaten or had water (it’s so hot). If someone has found him please feed him wet food, he doesn’t like dry food (sic).”

Dastur’s look in Rajma Chawal is inspired by Rooney Mara’s get up from acclaimed Hollywood film

After having Radhika Apte slip into traditional Rajasthani attire to depict the social evils in the state’s villages in Parched (2015), director Leena Yadav has opted for an entirely distinct and edgy look for the leading lady of her next. Amyra Dastur’s appearance from Rishi Kapoor-starrer Rajma Chawal bears similarities to Rooney Mara’s get-up from David Fincher’s mystery drama, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011).

mid-day has it that the look underwent 50 iterations before the unit of Rajma Chawal could be satisfied. A source says, “The film will see Amyra sporting a badass look, which is similar to that of Rooney from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. In one of the stills, she is seen sporting an undercut with chevrons on the side. She will also have a number of tattoos on her body, with one on her neck [of a barcode] being distinctive.” Dastur shaved one side of her head for an edgier look, it is learnt.

The drama revolves around a boy who falls in love with a girl. She is more rebellious than religious. Production insiders say, “The unit brainstormed for days to decide how the lead actor should appear. There were all certain that the look should be something that Amyra hasn’t sported before, and distinct from the rest of the cast. They started with a sharp pixie haircut and rough curls, and after improvising on it, zeroed in on this one.” Instead of fretting over the damage done to her locks, Dastur was apparently excited to “go completely wild”. “She even suggested that she should go bald, but we knew that wouldn’t fit the part as well as this one did.” The film, also starring Anirudh Tanwar as Kapoor’s son, will roll in November. It will explore the father and son’s strained relationship.

Actor Ranbir Kapoor has said the notion of masculinity has to be changed to empower women. Ranbir said this on Thursday while interacting with the media along with Deepika Padukone, Shabana Azmi, and Manish Malhotra. Ranbir and Deepika walked the ramp for designer Manish Malhotra, in an event organised by Shabana Azmi’s Mijwan Welfare Society.

On asking his idea of empowering the women of the country and securing equal rights for them, Ranbir said: “I think firstly, we have to change the notion of masculinity.” “I think the idea which we have in our mind about masculinity… if we could change the feeling of entitlement then that’s the big thing,” he said.

“Once we do that, we should provide a platform to encourage citizen of our country, especially to girls and the women. It will then be a great start and I think Mijwan Welfare Society is just about that,” Ranbir added.

Speaking on his experience of walking the ramp with his co-actor and ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone after so long, Ranbir said: “I think the biggest thing is we have come together to walk for Mijwan Welfare Society. That is the bigger picture here so it’s always wonderful to walk for Manish with Deepika and for Shabana aunty and everybody concerned with Mijwan Welfare Society.”

When Deepika was asked regarding her experience of walking the ramp with Ranbir, she said: “It’s very exciting. This is for the first time I am walking the ramp for the Mijwan fashion show. I started off my career as a model. I walked the ramp many times but this was special. It felt genuine, real and connected.”

“I feel everyone behind the scenes has worked really hard in doing what they do. Not just putting the show together but you can see the work, effort, and craftsmanship,” said Deepika. The “Padmaavat” actress also said it gives her real joy to see the Mijwan group doing so much to empower women and children.

“I think most importantly, the fact that they have empowered so many women and children give me so much joy and it’s inspiring to see the work they do,” added Deepika. Ranbir will be seen next in the biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt titled “Sanju”, directed by Raj Kumar Hirani, and in “Brahmastra” which is directed by Ayan Mukherji.

Veteran actors Rishi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan will reunite on the big screen after 27 years, but the former doesn’t “feel the gap”. Talking about his experience of working with Amitabh in the forthcoming film “102 Not Out”, Rishi told the media here on Thursday: “We worked in this film after 27 years but from the time we went on the set, we started rehearsing. We did not feel the gap between these years.”

“I feel proud to say that I have been working with him for the last 44 years. Our first film was ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ (1976) and the last time we worked together was in Ajooba (1991).” Together, they have delivered celebrated films like Naseeb”, Kabhi Kabhie, Amar Akbar Anthony and Coolie. Amitabh appreciates all his 102 Not Out co-stars, including Jimit Trivedi.

“I believe if you are appreciating my performance, it is due to my co-artistes. If they don’t perform well enough for your reaction, then your reaction would go wrong,” said the megastar. “So I would like to compliment Rishiji and Jimit for this film. Whenever you see (a movie), if you like it or don’t like it, it depends on their performance too. Our performances are the reflection of their performances,” he added.

The film’s team gathered here to promote its song Badumbaaa, which is composed and sung by Amitabh. Not many films are made on senior citizens. Asked why there isn’t much representation of senior citizens in films, Amitabh, 75, said: “Senior citizens are very respectable people of our society. If they are not there, we are not there. Whenever we try to make a film on them, we treat them with dignity. I hope that through this film, we will be able to convey the message to our audience.”

Adding to that, Rishi said: “He (Amitabh) did films like ‘Piku’ and ‘Pink’. Yes, there are not many films made on senior citizens but there are not many Bachchans around, right?” 102 Not Out, directed by Umesh Shukla, will release on May 4.
