Mumbai, Dec 18: Sridevi may have made a comeback with critically acclaimed “English Vinglish”, but her daughter Jhanvi is in no mood to enter Bollywood, at least now.

“I don’t know. I am still studying and it’s too early. I am very indecisive,” the 15-year-old said here Monday at the unveiling of the cover of People magazine featuring Sridevi.

Jhanvi says that she changes her career plans every week, sometimes she wants “to be a spy” or “an archaeologist” or a “writer”.

“So I really don’t know,” she added.

Meanwhile, Sridevi feels her daughters – Jhanvi and Khushi – should finish their studies first.

“Whatever decision they take, I am with them. I always tell them whatever they do, they have to give their best. First, they have to finish their studies,” Sridevi said.

Mumbai, Dec 18: The Bigg Boss house in this season will always be remembered for Imam Siddique’s unusual behaviour as this time again the contestant is in controversy and is heated up again for yet another reason.

After his heated argument with Delnaaz Irani over his nomination for eviction, Imam is now upset with Niketan Madhok.

Imam addressed Niketan as a rotten apple in the group that is spoiling the rest. After which Sapna Bhavnani, Urvashi Dholakia and Niketan exchanged some facial expressions. This offended Imam.

Imam feels that the housemates are plotting something about him. He approaches captain Delnaaz and tells her that he can hear the inmates are plotting against him to which Delnaaz replies that they were laughing at an internal joke. But Imam remains stubborn.

After sometime Imam passed demeaning comments and asked Niketan to clean the toilet after using it. Without giving any reply Niketan stepped out of the washroom.

One good thing about Siddique is that he is obsessed with hygiene and often gets upset with the mound of clothes near the bathroom and dirty toilet.

After sometime, Niketan went into the captain’s washroom before Imam wanted to. Imam followed Niketan out till the dining area and shouted at him for using the washroom before him. The rest of the housemates shared a big laugh at this incident.

Later, Imam went in and takes a long time to come out. Meanwhile, Karishma Kotak, Urvashi Dholakia and a few others wanted to use the washroom urgently.

Delnaaz tried to get Imam out but he took his own time. Irked housemates complained to Bigg Boss via a camera. After Imam eventually comes out, the housemates react to Imam’s nuisance

New Delhi, Dec 18 :  The Information and Broadcasting Ministry today said a representation alleging misuse of national anthem by a private TV channel for promotion of a reality show has been forwarded to the Home Ministry.  This information was shared in Lok Sabha by I&B Minister Manish Tewari in response to a question.

A representation had been received from an advocate, Jeetender Gupta, alleging that Colors TV channel is misusing national anthem for promoting a reality show in theatres, Tewari said.

Gupta had then also filed a writ petition in the High Court.

“The High Court disposed off the case by stating the representation made to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting should be looked into by the concerned ministry i.e. the Ministry of Home Affairs,” Tewari said.

The representation had been accordingly sent to the Home Ministry, he added.

Mumbai: Sonakshi Sinha, who has earned rave reviews for her performance in her films, says mother Poonam Sinha is her biggest critic.

“My mum is my biggest critic and I take her opinion very seriously because I know that is one person, who is saying it only for my good and nobody else,” Sonakshi told reporters in a group interview.

“If I could have done it much better or if the outfit is not looking good, she will tell me then and there itself. The best part is she is so honest about it. My father thinks everything I do is good only,” she added.

Asked if she takes her family opinion before signing any film, Sonakshi said: “I consult my whole family before signing a film because they have been in the industry for long, so it’s the logical thing to do.”

“My mum sometimes sits with me also for the narration, my dad (Shatrughan Sinha) is not always there so I give him a gist of the narration. Till now, my brothers (Luv and Kush) have not criticised me and are very proud,” said the 25-year-old.

Sonakshi is currently busy promoting her forthcoming film ‘Dabangg 2’ with Salman Khan, and is directed by Arbaaz Khan. It will release on Friday.

Actor Salman Khan, who will be seen next in ‘Dabangg 2’, bats for an actor’s involvement in the creative process of a film.

I approve my films' final cut: Salman Khan (© Varinder Chawla)

Mumbai: Salman Khan has been delivering back-to-back hits in the Hindi film industry. He says after the failure of his 2010 film ‘Veer’, he makes sure the final cut of any of his films has his approval.

He feels an actor’s involvement in creative processes helps sometimes.

“When I put my foot down sometimes, I hope I am not taking advantage of my stardom and that’s a big guilt. Eventually, what the audience first watches is only me in the poster, so I will be held responsible for everything,” Salman said in an interaction.

“So we also have to see that in just being polite, the film doesn’t go for a toss. Aamir (Khan) does it very correctly. Now I have started making it clear right in the beginning. I make sure that the final cut goes with my approval. After ‘Veer’, I have started doing this,” he said.

Salman, who wrote the story for ‘Veer’, admits he wasn’t satisfied with the final product that the film turned out to be.

“I was not happy with ‘Veer’ when they showed me the film. I cut down the film to one hour and 55 minutes, and eventually they released the film as a two hour and 30 minute-film, which is not a done thing. They thought they will get away with that, but they didn’t and I was very upset with the fact because I wrote its script and I knew if it has to be that long, then I need those 18 days of shoot because I needed the high points.”

“The scale of the film was very big. So one hour and 55 minutes was a perfect length for it. Till the time it is interesting, it is fine, but the film has to hold (the audience),” he added.

New Delhi: Sanjay Dutt has opened up to a lot of experimentation with his looks. After sporting a bald look in ‘Agneepath’, and wearing a turban in ‘Son Of Sardaar’, the actor will be seen in short hair and a stylish beard for his role as Sher Khan in ‘Zanjeer’.

He will also be seen wearing kolh-rimmed eyes in the movie, which is a remake of the 1973 film of the same name.

Sanjay plays the role that veteran actor Pran had played in the original.

Director Apoorva Lakhia, who has taken the reigns of the remake in his hands, sat down himself to design Sanjay’s look.

He roped in designer Navin Shetty for the costume, and popular hair stylist Aalim’s team for the actor’s hair, said a source.

The year has been good for the actor with ‘Agneepath’, which won him rave reviews for his spine-chilling portrayal of Kancha Cheena, and ‘Son Of Sardaar’ painted a completely different picture of Sanjay in his humourous avatar.

The ‘Zanjeer’ remake also stars southern star Ram Charan Teja and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra.

Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Amit Mehra and Flying Turtle Films, ‘Zanjeer’ will release on April 12, 2013.

Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra, who is known for her non-conventional films like ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ and ‘Barfi’, says that her upcoming film on boxing champion Mary Kom will be the different film next year.

“I do at least one film which is challenging for me every year. Mary Kom is that film for next year. If you meet her in person, you will see she is so sweet….can’t imagine her to be a boxer,” Priyanka Chopra said at a press conference.

Talking about her preparation for the film, the actress said that the training is on and she hopes she can play the role well.

“There is a lot of training going on for it. I hope I can pull it off,” she said.

With her debut single, “In My City” being liked by her fans, Priyanka does admit that her strong Bollywood career has supported this success.

“I have done films for so long and my fans have always supported me. It is easy for me to do conventional films, but then I want to try something different,” she said.

The actress will be seen in four films next year – a remake of ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Gunday’, the film on Mary Kom, and ‘Krrish 3’. Will she be singing in any of them?

“I have not planned anything. I am new to all this,” she said.

Luck doesn’t always work: Pinto

India’s Hollywood export Freida Pinto believes that the word ‘luck’ is often misunderstood by people. You just can’t have luck all your life. You can have that one moment when all your lines are aligned at the right time. But after that, all you have is what you bring to the table – that’s your talent, your personality, your charisma, your commitment and dedication.” According to the dusky beauty, every professional step should be taken with a lot of care.
