My films are my style statement: Vishal Bhardwaj
‘Haider’ to be screened in London

Mumbai: Vishal Bhardwaj says he and Hrithik Roshan have been planning to work together for a long time but things did not work out in the past.

There is a strong buzz that the director and Hrithik are collaborating on a project to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. When asked about such a possibility, Bhardwaj said it may or may not happen.

“Hrithik and I have been trying to work for a long time. After every film he completes and I complete, we meet and decide that we will do a film together. I hope it works out this time but not sure,” Bhardwaj told PTI.

The director, however, clarified that their future project will not be a remake of “The Departed” contrary to reports. “It won’t be ‘Departed’. I am not going to make a remake of it. I was thinking about it a long time back, probably six or seven years back,” he said.

New Delhi: Actor Varun Dhawan has called on the media to put an end to the AIB Roast controversy and instead focus on other important matters like rape and corruption.

Varun, who will be next seen in revenge drama ‘Badlapur’, said by now the issue should have died down.  “My request to the media is let’s not discuss it anymore because there are so many more important things happening and let’s not give those people more importance. It is a very small subject.

“There are so many important things in the country.  Discuss the rapes, discuss the corruption, discuss the other things that are happening,” the 27-year-old actor told reporters here during the promotion of ‘Badlapur’ in the capital.

The actor said he knows the people involved with the roast personally and their lives have become terrible after the incident despite pulling down of the video from YouTube.

“The video came down because they got worried that this will land them in jail. They feared that. I know this because I know the people involved with this. What’s happening with them is now terrible. They got police protection, that’s why we are trying not to discuss it anymore. It’s a dead issue,” he said.

Aamir’s PK in trouble, Delhi High Court issues notice to the makers

New Delhi: Anushka Sharma is on her toes these days with three back to back flicks this year. Recently we all came across her glamorous look in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’ where she looked adorable enough to slay all her fan but in her newly out pic from her maiden production ‘NH10’, Anushka is entirely different from all her previous appearances.

The actress could be seen with blood sheds around her face, which carries a troublesome expression somewhat indicating flick’s gritty and gruesome theme.

Well, this is just a glimpse and if a leading daily is to be believed then the actress unlike Bollywood’s earlier violent dramas, will take the fierce themes to altogether a new level with her look, which will almost be unrecognizable.

Thanks to Romy, a skilled French make-up artist, who has worked in many European film and theatre projects, Anushka’s look will be shockingly terrifying too in many scenes.

In an interview to a leading daily, the director Navdeep Singh was quoted as saying, “It’s a gritty, gory film but thanks to Romy, when you see Anushka lying in a pool of blood, her skin peeling off, you will never guess the amount of prosthetics involved. It’s a new-age thriller and the prosthetics helped to break stereotypes. Anushka is a star but in this film we did not want to glamourise her at all.”

Anushka seems to be keen on experimenting with her appearances in few of her projects. While we told you how she is going to look like in NH10 and Bombay Velvet, her third flick this year, the Zoya Akhtar’s directorial ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ will have her as a dancer.

Last year, the actress played a journalist in blockbuster PK. Surely Sharma doesn’t want to be typecast at such time when Indian cinema is ending the stereotypes and all actors are proving their versatility by accepting different roles.

Well, we wish her all the best!

Mumbai: Post the success of “Hera Pheri” and its sequel “Phir Hera Pheri”, the makers are set to start “Hera Pheri 3” with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in the lead. The former says the first movie brought in refreshing and a new kind of comedy for Hindi cinema when it released in 2000.

“I feel ‘Hera Pheri’ was a refreshing new comedy for Hindi cinema. Then Neeraj (Vora) made ‘Hera Pheri 2’, which was even more fun,” Abhishek told reporters here during the official announcement of “Hera Pheri 3”.

The actor considers it a “matter of huge pride” to be part of the movie.

“Hera Pheri 3” will also feature Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal, apart from “Dostana” stars Abhishek and John. The film will be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala.

The story of the third instalment will take off from where the second part ended, says director Neeraj Vora.

Veteran actor Paresh says his character Baburao in the film is a very well-written character.

“The character of Baburao was written so well. I believe that in India, there is no actor who can rise above the material. The director and writers of this film, have given me a lot. It’s fun to have commercial success along with fun while working with the character. I am thankful to the writer and producer of this film,” he said.

New Delhi: The episode started with housemate’s discussing about the previous day of weekend ka vaar.

Salman entered with Arbaaz as he was here to promote his upcoming film ‘Dolly ki Doli’. While Arbaaz was on stage, Sonam entered BB house. Sonam went inside the house and played some fun games with the housemates.

One of the games was spin the wheel wherein each housemate has to say one thing they want to change about the other. There were few interesting answers.

After coming out of the glass walled house, Sonam joined Salman and Arbaaz on stage.

Sonam danced on Dabangg tracks. Salman later asked Sonam some Bollywood based questions. Sonam was successful in answering almost all questions.

Sonam wore a red pre-pleated saree. In fact, all three including host Salman Khan were seen dancing to the tunes of Dabangg. Sonam and Salman have worked together in Saawariyaa. They will be seen together in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo.

The episode turned interesting when Karishma took Salman’s jokes too seriously. Salman Khan, who often teases contestants of the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 8’ when he dons the host’s hat, got upset after his joke was not taken sportingly by Karishma Tanna.

During the course of the show, Salman teased Pritam Singh saying that he might get a little confused whether he should talk to Karishma too. Though the superstar said so to tease them, Karishma began to cry.

When Pritam asked Karishma why she was crying, she said it is not funny to joke around all the time. A seemingly upset Salman then walked off the stage.

After returning Salman told Karishma that ‘Bigg Boss’ is an entertainment show and they all were having fun. If she wants it to be a boring show, all can sit back and do nothing.

He also said that everyone even teases co-contestants Dimpy Mahajan and Ali Quli Mirza, but they seem to take it sportingly as it is all in fun.

Karishma, who then got nervous, told the ‘Dabangg’ star that it is not him and she has been feeling low the whole day. She also said that she got overwhelmed and felt sorry for it.

Upen Patel, another housemate, wanted to interrupt to explain Karishma’s side, but Salman told him not to get in between. Salman even told Karishma that he just doing his job and all the things are told and done for entertainment.

With serious mood Salman hosted the rest episode and headed direct towards elimination. Without any fun and joke, Salman told Diandra to leave the BB house.

After a journey of thirteen dramatic weeks, Diandra’s journey came to an end as she received the lowest number of votes for the week.

She was shown her own journey along with what the other housemates spoke about her in the house. Diandra was stunned at Gautam, Ali and Pritam’s few comments.

Diandra gave bigg bomb to Karishma who will get advantage in coming luxury budget task.
