If you searched Google just to reconfirm the cast of ‘Veerey Ki Wedding’ since you couldn’t see Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the recently released trailer, trust us, you’re not alone. We too got confused and excited initially, but this trailer of ‘Veerey Ki Wedding’ starring Pulkit Samrat, Jimmy Shergill and Kriti Kharbanda did not disappoint us at all.

Well, thanks to the Mumbai High Court reportedly ruling in favour of the makers of the film (the one with Ki), we now have the trailer for what looks like a complete family entertainer; after the similarity in the name of the titles, landed the movie in legal trouble with the producers of ‘Veere Di Wedding’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor.

The movie will revolve around Veer Arora (Pulkit), whose life seems to be perfect without any problems, until he confronts his biggest problem. And that problem is to convince his girlfriend’s (Kriti Kharbanda) father to agree for their marriage. Things turn for worse when his ‘gansta boy’ aggressive brother Jimmy Shergill steps in to wreck havoc in their relationship.

We don’t know if the directors have anything against Jimmy, or is Bollywood too cruel a place for him, but pick any movie of his and you will never see him sign off saying “And we lived happily ever after.”

From losing his girl to Uday Chopra and then to R. Madhavan a couple of years later, to dealing with a cheating wife who betrays Shergill despite him being a royalty; Bollywood has never let Jimmy have a happy relationship EVER. And in this trailer too, while we were hoping that he might have a second-lead story of his own, the directors didn’t leave any scope of a love angle for him (at least the trailer doesn’t hint at any romance).

Directed by Asshu Trikha, the movie is releasing on March 9, 2018.
