Priya Prakash Varrier, lovingly known as the ‘wink girl’, now has 4.5 freaking million followers on Instagram. Here she is laughing at us mere mortals:

But before you think we are making a mistake in terms of her followers, look at this:

How do you go from about a 100 followers to 4.5 million in a week? By winking? Would this happen to us if we try?

Probably not.
But what chance do we have, when the owner of Instagram himself has fewer followers than the wink girl?
Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook and owner of Instagram, has 4 million followers despite the fact that he joined the social media app way back in 2010.

At that time, maybe, he wasn’t as big of a deal as he is now but you’d obviously expect that after purchasing Instagram you will break all records in terms of gaining followers. Sorry to break it to you Mark, but you failed.

Now, 4 million isn’t a bad number. It’s good. In fact, it’s crazy good and is something we all can only dream about. But when a girl can get more followers than that with just a wink, you are bound to be upset.

But it’s okay Mark. Priya has broken several other records as well. Not that this is going to make you feel any better but you should know. Again, for your general knowledge.
She became the most searched celebrity on Google, beating the likes of Sunny Leone. And oh, she is also the 3rd celebrity in the world who raked in 600K followers overnight with the first two being Kylie Jenner who drew 806K followers in a single day and footballer Ronaldo who got 650K followers in a day.
While we don’t know what lies in Priya’s future, we are definitely a little jealous. But what choice do we have? Let’s make do with our mere number of followers on Instagram which probably would never even reach 5,000!
