Salma Hayek speaks about her film ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’:

1. On her character – She’s pretty tough. Yes, she’s pretty tough and she’s pretty pulled together but she is angry. She is very angry at her husband and her husband is also very tough and he is madly in love with her and it is played by none other than Sam Jackson. So, I think she’s the toughest person in his movie

2. On “Darius Kincaid” and Sonia Kincaid’s relationship – They’re madly, crazy in love with each other, they’ve been together long time and this is the marriage that the passion never goes away and she keeps him on his toes and she’s the only person, probably, in the world that can do that and I think, at the end it’s a little bit of a love story packed with the most amazing action and lots and lots of laughs. What’s moving the action is this love story, this man that is ready to do anything for this woman, even though she doesn’t make it easy for him

3. On “Sonia Kincaid” meeting “Darius Kincaid” for the first time – When I meet my husband for the first time, I’m in a situation where I have to defend myself, which by the way, I’m sure that later on she was wondering, “How come he never tried to help her?” I don’t know that he is there because I didn’t even notice him and I, kind of, impressed him because I can hold my own in a fight, in a bar fight, with many men and I think I am just looking after myself but this is how I find the greatest love of my life

4. On the film’s sophisticated action – The whole thing is one action scene after another but I watch a lot of action films because of my husband loves action films and it gets repetitive. Now you see so many of them, that’s the time I kind of, go brush my teeth and when I was watching this one I was “like this”. It’s kind of sophisticated. It’s really cool, they go to so many places in Europe and it is impossible to get your eyes and your ears off of this pair, Sam Jackson and Ryan are the two actors in the world that can do action-comedy the best, I think. The chemistry between them is fantastic.

5. On her character’s dirty mouth and warm heart – I knew I had to do a character that’s said a lot of that words that Sam says a lot of bad words with dirty mouth because we had to speak the same language so that was kind of fun. I’ve never said so many bad words in such a short amount of time and she had to have a lot of heart but at the same time she had to be a force to reckon with

6. On the film’s Atypical romances – It’s romantic. Somehow, the film packed with action and with a nostalgic, romantic kind of a feeling also that’s it is unusual. It’s not the typical love story that you sometime see in the action movies.

Weird Products Celebrities Have Endorsed And Their Embarrassing Advertisements

Due to multiple cases filed at the same time, celebrity endorsers were targeted majorly in India in 2015. As a result of which Consumer Protection Bill, 2015, called for tough penalties which can include a fine of up to Rs 50 lakh and imprisonment of up to five years – for those irresponsible celebrities. They need to be cautious with the product which they decide to endorse. The law, however, does not restrict stupid advertisements, so let us today discuss the worse decisions our “favorite” celebrities have made.

In our opinion, Lux has always had simply hilarious ads (Not a compliment). But they definitely lowered their own bar with this ad in 2005 with SRK. Tell me if you don’t think that Hema Malini was photoshopped on it straight from the Kent ad. Obviously, people had doubts about the ad, in an interview, SRK revealed, “Some people think it’s a girlie ad, that it questions my sexuality. But I love the idea of getting into the tub, just as I had seen all my lovely leading ladies do.”

There is honestly no single fairness cream ad which made any amount of sense, but it is especially embarrassing when celebrities (actually their photoshopped doppelgangers) do them. Shahrukh Khan received a piercing dash of backlash for his fairness cream ad. But, obviously given it’s him, he had a witty and manipulating response to shut the haters.

Others who made money in the fairness obsessed country are Yami Gautam (For Fair And Lovely), John Abraham (For Garnier), Priyanka Chopra (Ponds White Beauty), and the most surprising one was Emraan Hashmi for MeGlow.

We were surprised for the only reason that we would honestly expect MeBlow from him not MeGlow.

It is strange how celebrities in India get away with such objectionable ads and land in trouble for making a movie about a historical character.

Malaika Arora Khan, Zandu Balm

The sketchy reason to include this here is the fact that she was forced to make this ad. Emami sent a legal notice to the Arbaaz Khan production for infringement of copyright and using “Zandu Balm” for Dabangg’s item song. The settlement not only made Malaika endorse Zandu Balm and self-nominate her name for Memes, but also parts of the song was used in the advertisement.

Foreign Invasion

Ads with foreign familiar faces and forced cultural appropriation instantly makes you laugh and then a little sad. In 2008, Bajaj managed to get Jackie Chan to star in this ad for Bajaj Discover DTSi. Although it was seemingly shot in China, but Chan did Namastey (talk about cultural appropriation). Pierce Brosnan, James Bond star, was tricked by Pan Bahar to endorse their products. On realizing that the product can contain ingredients causing cancer, he distanced himself from the endorsement of the same and demanded to take down all the advertisements, including him, but things stay with Internet forever, especially the things you don’t want.

Our Bollywood stars need no introduction. Their personal and professional lives are under the limelight for everyone to see and comment on. While some stars have managed to keep their lives personal, there are some things which are just not invisible to the paparazzi’s eye. Such as love affairs, cat fights, or even star wars. The Shehenshah of Bollywood had already married Jaya Bhaduri when he fell in love with Rekha on the sets of the film Do Anjaane (1976). It is said that after this incident, Jaya Bachchan called on Rekha and told her very clearly that she would never leave her husband and she should forget about him. It was said that during the filming of Hrithik’s film, Kites (2010), he got close to his co-star Barbara Mori and even had an extra-marital affair with her. However, it is his affair with Katrina Kaif that is most talked about till date. Salman Khan saw Katrina in her debut dud film, Boom and decided to back her. She went under his care and Salman too, made sure that she was well-settled in Bollywood. Fans loved them together and Katrina used to hang out at Salman’s house a lot. Theirs was said to be a happy relationship. But problems started appearing after Katrina and Ranbir signed the film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani (2009). Shahid Kapoor’s chocolate boy looks had won him a huge female fan following after his debut film Ishq Vishk released. He won himself many admirers and that is when Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor started dating. Kareena was already an established actor and their fans loved their chemistry in their film Fida. The two came together and started giving out many interviews together, appeared in Koffee With Karan and did not shy away from the media. Kareena, in an interview once said, “I’ll most definitely marry Shahid. I’m not the kind to jump from one relationship to another. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone were together since their debut films, Saawariya and Om Shanti Om respectively. While Om Shanti Om was a huge success, Saawariya tanked at the box office miserably. They worked together in Bachna Ae Haseeno and that is when the two officially started dating. Deepika even got the initials of his name, RK, tattooed on her neck. But, Ranbir was a womaniser and it is said that when he met Katrina Kaif on the sets of their film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani, he fell for her and it is when Ranbir cheated on Deepika. He left her later and moved in with Katrina.
