The decisive verdict in Jharkhand and impressive gains in Jammu and Kashmir have strengthened the national character of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which now has a firm grip on the country’s polity, effectively toppling the Congress as the leading political force.

The BJP has won almost every Assembly elections after it lost power in Karnataka in May 2013. There has been no looking back for the party since then as it has formed governments in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the first round of Assembly polls ahead of the general elections in May 2014. The party could not form the government in Delhi despite being the single largest party.

There has been no looking back for the party since then as it has formed governments in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the first round of Assembly polls ahead of the general elections in May 2014. The party could not form the government in Delhi despite being the single largest party.

The massive victory in the Lok Sabha elections again proved that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s prominence was unassailable. The BJP then added Maharashtra and Haryana in its kitty after the Lok Sabha polls. Jharkhand will become the latest state to get a BJP chief minister.

The BJP will now have eight chief ministers from Haryana to Maharashtra, capturing the vast expanses of northern, central and western India. It has allies ruling in Punjab and Andhra Pradesh.

The BJP sees the poll victories as a verdict on Modi’s agenda of development. “The poll verdict is a lesson for those who oppose our government’s agenda of development and change. As the BJP won Jharkhand, it will also win polls in Bihar under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi,” BJP national president Amit Shah had said after the results on Tuesday.

The performance has galvanised the party and its young leadership. “I feel that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and due to his good governance and with the great contribution of national president Amit Shah ji, the party has done remarkable… We will face Delhi and then in Bihar where the results will be in the favour of the BJP,” party leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy said after the election outcome on Tuesday.

The BJP’s next battleground will be Delhi and Bihar where elections are due. The party is likely to face a tough challenge from the Janata Parivar in Bihar, but the party hopes that Modi’s charisma will work in the state as well to demolish the challenge posed by Nitish Kumar and Lalu Prasad.

In Delhi, the saffron party is confident of countering the threat posed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

The biggest challenge for the party is in Uttar Pradesh, which it looks to capture from the Samajwadi Party. The BJP has already started ground work in the state where it made impressive gains during the Lok Sabha elections with a near clean sweep.

The saffron march was halted in the north at the Pir Panjal range as it got decimated in the Kashmir Valley despite sweeping the Jammu region. The BJP’s Mission 44+ in Jammu and Kashmir has fallen short, but it will play the role of a kingmaker.

Party sources said its control over much of north, western and central India is complete. It will then move to the east to directly challenge Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress before making inroads into the southern states.

The country’s political map is being painted saffron and if the BJP under Amit Shah continues its march, it will annihilate the little challenge still posed by the Congress.

New Delhi: The episode started with housemate’s discussing about the previous day of weekend ka vaar.

Salman entered with Arbaaz as he was here to promote his upcoming film ‘Dolly ki Doli’. While Arbaaz was on stage, Sonam entered BB house. Sonam went inside the house and played some fun games with the housemates.

One of the games was spin the wheel wherein each housemate has to say one thing they want to change about the other. There were few interesting answers.

After coming out of the glass walled house, Sonam joined Salman and Arbaaz on stage.

Sonam danced on Dabangg tracks. Salman later asked Sonam some Bollywood based questions. Sonam was successful in answering almost all questions.

Sonam wore a red pre-pleated saree. In fact, all three including host Salman Khan were seen dancing to the tunes of Dabangg. Sonam and Salman have worked together in Saawariyaa. They will be seen together in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo.

The episode turned interesting when Karishma took Salman’s jokes too seriously. Salman Khan, who often teases contestants of the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 8’ when he dons the host’s hat, got upset after his joke was not taken sportingly by Karishma Tanna.

During the course of the show, Salman teased Pritam Singh saying that he might get a little confused whether he should talk to Karishma too. Though the superstar said so to tease them, Karishma began to cry.

When Pritam asked Karishma why she was crying, she said it is not funny to joke around all the time. A seemingly upset Salman then walked off the stage.

After returning Salman told Karishma that ‘Bigg Boss’ is an entertainment show and they all were having fun. If she wants it to be a boring show, all can sit back and do nothing.

He also said that everyone even teases co-contestants Dimpy Mahajan and Ali Quli Mirza, but they seem to take it sportingly as it is all in fun.

Karishma, who then got nervous, told the ‘Dabangg’ star that it is not him and she has been feeling low the whole day. She also said that she got overwhelmed and felt sorry for it.

Upen Patel, another housemate, wanted to interrupt to explain Karishma’s side, but Salman told him not to get in between. Salman even told Karishma that he just doing his job and all the things are told and done for entertainment.

With serious mood Salman hosted the rest episode and headed direct towards elimination. Without any fun and joke, Salman told Diandra to leave the BB house.

After a journey of thirteen dramatic weeks, Diandra’s journey came to an end as she received the lowest number of votes for the week.

She was shown her own journey along with what the other housemates spoke about her in the house. Diandra was stunned at Gautam, Ali and Pritam’s few comments.

Diandra gave bigg bomb to Karishma who will get advantage in coming luxury budget task.

New Delhi: After winning music reality show “India’s Raw Star”, Odisha’s Rituraj Mohanty says the victory is just the beginning and that he now wants to pursue playback singing.

“After the show, my focus is on playback singing. Yes Sufi is close to my heart, but before entering the show, I sang around 280 songs that included dubstep, romantic and hard rock. So I am ready to try different things,” Rituraj told IANS after winning the show Sunday.

He is “happy” after the win, but says that he still has “a lot of things to achieve.”

“I will be happier when I will be awarded IIFA and Filmfare trophy,” he said about his ambition.

Coming from a humble background, Rituraj walked away with a Maruti Suzuki Swift, a contract with STAR Plus and a whopping Rs.50 lakh as cash prize. Rituraj says he will use the money for the reconstruction of his mud house.

“In my village, I have a ‘mitti ka ghar’ and I plan to make a new house at the same spot for my parents. And then I will try to invest the money in some good things,” said Rituraj who won the trophy after defeating Darshan Raval from Ahmedabad and Mohit Gaur from Jaipur.

Meanwhile, Rituraj has a wish list.

“I want to work with many people like A.R. Rahman and Ram Sampath, who is my godfather. I also want to touch Lataji’s feet (Mangeshkar),” he said.

He admits his stint in actor Aamir Khan’s show “Satyamev Jayate” with a catchy song “Aam ke aam honge guthliyon ke daam honge” opened doors for him.

“After singing for the show, I got a call from Saibaba Productions. The whole journey was amazing,” he said.

Ask him about the most memorable moment during the journey, and the 26-year-old says the appreciation he got after his first performance holds a special place in his heart.

“Every moment was special, but the positive comments I got after my performance on ‘Galiyan’ is the most memorable. In fact, even after the performance, guests used to request me to sing that song again,” Rituraj said.
