Bollywood superstar Salman Khan turns speaker for the film industry at HT Leadership Summit 2017, happening at Delhi. The actor has shared some interesting anecdotes from his life and many other things
Salman Khan, 51, the superstar of Bollywood is undoubtedly still reigning the film territory. Contributing majorly to the world Hindi film industry, almost for the past 30 years, he is a name synonym to Bollywood. With his share of ups and downs in the industry, the actor has garnered love from across the terrains. The road outside Salman’s house in Bandra is always choc-o-blocked with tonnes of fans gathered, just to catch a glimpse of ‘Bhai’ waving out at the balcony. Calculating his contribution and stardom, HT Leadership Summit 2017 has invited Salman Khan to have an interaction on topical issues related to showbiz. For instance, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ entangled in a political row and many other things. The actor is stationed at Delhi for the Summit.

The actor has given various anecdotes about how the industry functions, his life and so on. At the Summit, when the superstar was asked if ‘casting couch’ existed in Bollywood, he said, “I have never come across or heard of such an incident. But if I ever hear of it, I will take that person to the cleaners.” He further adds, “The condition that you need to sleep with me to get this job done, is the most disgusting thing possible.”
Recently, there were accusations made by the Hollywood film fraternity against renowned producer Harvey Weinstein’s for asking sexual favours in return for providing work.

Coming back to Salman Khan, he shared a lot of his opinions on the film industry. He proudly said that the industry doesn’t follow any particular religion. “There is no religion in our industry. My dad is a Muslim, my mother is a Hindu and I call myself ‘insaan’ (human).”
When someone addresses us with ‘Ram Ram’ or ‘Jai Shree Ram’, we don’t object to it or refuse to acknowledge the gesture. I don’t think any of us have that problem here. We all have Hindu and Muslim relatives,” concluded the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor.
