From being a speaker, to actually hosting the show, Shah Rukh Khan has said that TED Talks is one of the biggest achievements of his life. SRK gave his first TED Talk earlier this year in Vancouver, and has always stated how big of a fan he is of the show.
And, now he is all set to host the Indian version of the show called ‘TED Talks : Nayi Soch’. So, basically TED, which stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, is a media organization which posts talks online for free distribution, under the slogan “ideas worth spreading”.

Since the Indian version of the show – Nayi Soch – is just about to launch, here are some of the reasons why no one should miss this promising show at all.
1. Shah Rukh Khan

Obviously, the first and foremost reason has to be the King Khan himself. ‘Nayi Soch’ is all set to bring back SRK to the small screen. It has been quite some time since he hosted ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?’ and had a brief stint of hosting ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, and you have to admit, SRK’s involvement in TED Talks is one of the most talked about things regarding the show.
2. The History of TED Talks
With early emphasis on technology and design, the focus of the show has been broadened to include talks on many scientific, cultural, and academic topics. With so many different topics being covered, the amount of knowledge being offered though these talks is honestly unparalleled. With the new Indian version, we can look forward to various perspectives of people from different walks of life.
3. Oprah Winfrey
Well, there are rumours going around that International celebrity TV host, Oprah Winfrey, has been approached to make an appearance on the show. A source said, “Shah Rukh met Oprah when she attended Parmeshwar Godrej’s party in India 5 years ago. He connected with her so well that he decided to call her back to India, and this time on a show that would be honoured to have such an influential person talk to the Indian audiences.”
4. SRK’s engaging approach

As mentioned above, SRK delivered an inspiring 18-minute talk on TED2017’s theme – The Future You, earlier this year. The host, Chris Anderson, even called SRK a “renaissance man”, and that has set the tone for what we have in store for us. Moreover, SRK’s famous wit knows no bounds and he has proved what an incredible host he is with his previous stints, and this time won’t be any different.
5. All the Celebrities that are set to appear
Reportedly, seven episodes have already been shot, and the show boasts of an interesting lineup of celebrities from Bollywood and the sports industry. To name a few, Javed Akhtar, Mithali Raj, and Karan Johar, have already shot for the show.
6. Sundar Pichai

Apparently Google CEO Sundar Pichai will also be interacting with King Khan on the show. Reportedly, he will be connected from California via Beam, a telepresence robot.
Well, by the looks of it, the show will not disappoint at all.
