The Censor Board’s decisions on the certification of films are always scrutinised by the public, and Vidya Balan, with her 12-year-long experience in the industry, is aware of the criticism they can be subjected to.

It is no wonder then that the actor, who was appointed on August 11 on the reconstituted Central Board of Film Certification (CFBC) has decided to step away from exercising her duties for husband, producer Siddharth Roy Kapur and brothers-in-law, actors Aditya and Kunaal’s films.
A source tells mid-day, “She has decided to excuse herself from the CBFC screening of films that she or her family members are associated with. It was a conscientious move which was welcomed by the board members.” While Balan refused to comment about her move, her spokesperson confirmed the news to mid-day.

Actress Vidya Balan finally got married to her boyfriend UTV head Siddharth Roy Kapur. Their wedding that took place at the Green Mile bungalow in Bandra, was a low profile affair. The wedding ceremonies took about an hour and is rumoured to have been a mix of South Indian and Punjabi styles.

14th December, 2012, Mumbai: Bolly actress Vidya Balan is now married to Siddharth Roy Kapur, the chief executive director of UTV. According to reports, their wedding had taken place at Bandra’s Green Mile bungalow. Earlier, there were reports that the couple might tie the knot at Chembur’s Subramania temple. The couple has kept their wedding ceremony as private as possible.
Rumors suggest that the whole marriage ceremony took around an hour and it was done in both South Indian and Punjabi styles. Vidya donned a mustard color sari along with green border that was designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The groom sported a yellow colored kurta.
Their wedding festivities started on 11th December with a private dinner and their mehendi ceremony was on 12th December.
