Shalini Kapoor wraps up shooting, to holiday in Dubai

Actress Shalini Kapoor has completed shooting for the show “Prithvi Vallabh – Itihaas Bhi, Rahasya Bhi”. She is now set to fly to Dubai with husband and actor Rohit Sagar and daughter Aadyaa for a holiday

“I have finished shooting for ‘Prithvi Vallabh…’ and my upcoming movie ‘Dhadak’. Now I’m set to fly (on Wednesday) to Dubai for holiday with my daughter and husband. I’m really excited about our Dubai visit,” Shalini said in a statement. Shalini, known for shows like “Qubool Hai” and “Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur”, will be essaying the role of newcomer Janhvi Kapoor’s mother in “Dhadak”.

Shalini Kapoor, known for shows like Qubool Hai and Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur, is set to play Janhvi Kapoor’s mother in their upcoming film Dhadak. She says the newcomer is a loving and dedicated actor. “I am playing Janhvi Kapoor’s mom. She is a traditional and sophisticated Rajasthani lady. I am absolutely elated to work with (filmmaker Karan Johar’s) Dharma Productions as it’s every actor’s dream. It’s my comeback in films as post-marriage, I had started doing only serials,” Shalini said in a statement to IANS.

“I have been a mom to a lot of new actors and actresses on TV and by the grace of God they all have made it big. Hope the magic continues. Janhvi is a sweetheart and very loving and a dedicated actor too,” she added. Janhvi, veteran actress Sridevi’s daughter, and actor Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khatter will make their Bollywood debut with “Dhadak”. It is scheduled for release in July.

Television actress Shalini Kapoor who is popularly known for her shows like Devo Ke Dev Mahadev, Qabool Hai and Swaragini feels blissful on her 9th wedding anniversary with Naagin 2 actor Rohit Sagar.

Shalini adds, “I’m blessed to complete nine years of marriage and it all seems so fresh and exciting till date from the beginning. There is no dullness in our life. We are like teenagers, mad and crazy people filled up with love for each other. I feel like have been succeed to balance my acting career with being a wife and mother. My family is happy and thats my reward. This anniversary we both have planned to grow spiritually too. We believe couple who are on the same level spiritually cope much better with each other.”

Rohit shares, “Being with wife means celebrating every moment. Even an argument ends up on laughter. She is funny and caring and My master key. I irritate her many a time with my OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder in short Cleanliness freak) but at the end she knows who is my world and survival.”

The couple has planned to celebrate the day with family, friends and “Swaragini and Nagin family”.
