It was a special day for actor Parul Chauhan recently, when she got the chance to meet superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of her show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai produced by Rajan Shahi. The actor says that his entry was part of a sequence in the show. “He will be part of the episode. He is visiting our house and this is a surprise for Kirti which Kartik has organised,” she says.
Parul is eagerly waiting for his film Jab Harry Met Sejal, that also stars actor Anushka Sharma. “The film is going to be a hit. The combination of the three – Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Imtiaz Ali – is really good. The promos are also good and I also like all the films directed by Imtiaz Ali. I just want to wish them luck for their movie,” she says.
Although she is meeting King Khan for the fourth time, Parul says that she was still very excited. “I met him for the fourth time. I met him in 2008 when I did Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tej Hain and after that, I met him in Film City when I was shooting for Bidaai and he was shooting for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. He stopped his car and waved at me and he even hugged me. That was the happiest moment of my life. I had also met him at an event in Delhi where he was there for a dance show. I am his biggest fan,” she says.
In fact, she was very nervous this time. “I was meeting him after 8 to 9 years, so when I saw him on the set, my heart was beating hard and I started to shiver. I was scared that he might not recognize me. So I went up to him and spoke and then he recognized me. He told me that I have changed a lot,” she says.
Like of other SRK fans, Parul, too, never misses any of his movies. “I like all his films and have learned a lot from him as an actor and also as a human being. I have seen all his films some 50 times,” she says, adding, “He is a damn good actor. And the best thing is even after achieving so much, he has not changed. He is very down to earth. In spite of being busy with his films, he came on our sets to shoot one scene.”
