Sarangi Maestro Dhruba Ghosh passes away
Sarangi maestro Pandit Dhruba Ghosh passed away at his residence due to massive heart attack today morning. He was the Son of late Tabla Legend Pandit Nikhil Ghosh. He was 59.
He had received the Sangeet Natak Akademi award. He had also received the Grammy award for his album with chinese string ensemble.
Besides performing in India and overseas, he was the Principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Mumbai. He was the brother of well-known tabla and sitar maestro Pandit Nayan Ghosh.
