While many actors are comfortable doing the same role again and again, Manoj Bajpayee is one of those actors who has gone out and picked up all the unconventional roles.
From leaving the critics impressed to winning many hearts, the actor has proved that he can play any role effortlessly. Be it him as Bhiku Matra in ‘Satya’, Sardar Khan in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ or Professor in ‘Aligarh’, Manoj has portrayed some powerful characters that people will remember forever.
And now he is all set to receive the highest honour at the Festival of Globe to be held in California for his immense contribution in the Indian film industry. He will also lead the India Day Parade as the chief guest and grand marshal to mark the landmark 70th independence of India on August 13.
For people who aren’t aware of the Festival of Globe, FGO takes place in the Silicon Valley near San Francisco. Like various film festival, this is a platform for entertainment, cultural and business exchange. Films are screened, celebrities, investors, politicians, and others come under one roof for an award function and the parade.
Talking about felicitating Manoj, Founder Dr. Romesh Japra said in the statement, “It is a moment of pride for us to have this great actor of Indian cinema as our prestigious guest for this year. Our journey with the festival began 25 years ago, right about the time Manoj ji made his foray into Indian cinema. Apart from this on the work front, Manoj at present is busy shooting for his film ‘Aiyaary’ where he will be seen with Sidharth Malhotra, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Rakul Preet Singh, Anupam Kher and others. The film is all set to hit the theatres in 2018 on Republic Day.
