Bollywood actor Sitaram Panchal passed away on Thursday morning after battling cancer for three years. He was 54.
According to reports, the actor was complaining of breathlessness in the morning and was rushed to the hospital. He passed away at around 7.45 am. His last rites will be held today.
indianexpress.comquoted a relative as saying, “Sitaram Panchal passed away this morning. He had breathing difficulties. He was not keeping well for a long time.”
The report also states that Sitaram Panchal died a day after celebrating his 26th wedding anniversary. His son Rishabh Panchal and wife Uma Panchal posted a photo to mark the occasion on Facebook.
Sitaram Panchal was suffering from kidney and lung cancer for the past three years. He was also under a financial crisis. In July, he took to Facebook to seek financial help.
Sitaram Panchal made his Bollywood debut with ‘Bandit Queen’ in 1994. He has also worked in films like ‘Jolly LLB 2’, ‘Peepli Live’, ‘Pan Singh Tomar’, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’, among others.
