Priyanka Chopra is a woman of considerable talents. From being a great actress, a singer, philanthropist to a goodwill ambassador, Priyanka Chopra’s never-ending list of achievements just keeps getting bigger with each day. And another similar achievement or should we say responsibility that Priyanka (not so) recently added in her list was that of being the tourism ambassador for Assam.
My one constant…travel. Different places…different people…different worlds. This time I’m in #AwesomeAssam in India 🇮🇳. Follow my stories and tell me…what’s your favorite city or country in the world? 🌎 ✈ï¸?…🎉👌ðŸ?½ðŸ’‹ðŸ’¥
Priyanka Chopra is currently touring Assam and was in Jorhat yesterday where she was welcomed in the most heartwarming way possible. Honestly, if you ever wanted a reason to travel to Assam, don’t look anywhere and just head straight to Priyanka’s Instagram. You will find, not one, but multiple reasons for travelling to ‘Awesome Assam’ and one of them is learning Bihu.
During her visit to the Subarna Prabha Bordoloi Girls High School, Priyanka not only interacted and had fun with the girls, but also tried to learn Bihu from them and failed hilariously. We guess, the choreography was too much too handle, but Priyanka definitely gets full marks for trying her luck at the dance. From beating the shit out of people in ‘Quantico’ to practicing Bihu or learning how to wear ‘Mekhala Sador’ from a 7-year-old; there’s literally nothing that she can’t do.
Lil Radha (7 yrs) with her big eyes and smile showed me how the ‘Mekhela Sador’, traditional Assamese Sari is worn! #AwesomeAssam #India pic.twitter.com/dxaQcYftWV

She wrote in her Instagram post, “The part I enjoy the most…joining in the fun! These young ladied put on an amazing performance for me and it was great to see their confidence and excitement towards life.”
The part I enjoy the most… joining in the fun! These young ladies put on an amazing performance for me and it was great to see their confidence and excitement towards life. This is in large part because they are in a school environment that keeps them safe. They are in charge of building their own futures…their own lives. Keeping a girl in school has so many positives, especially seeing them happy and thriving. A great start to my trip to #AwesomeAssam
From enjoying the local sweets and traditional desserts and enjoying Assamese songs Priyanka Chopra is living the time of her life as a tourist in a place she is the ambassador of. And these pictures and videos of her chilling in Assam is proof why she makes a better ambassador than anyone else.
On the work front, Priyanka is all set to slay the world with her third season of ‘Quantico’ and will also be seen in ‘Bharat’ opposite Salman Khan.
