Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’ has been floating in a pool of controversies since the day it was revealed that he is making a period drama on the life of Rani Padmaavati.
After facing intense backlash, innumerable delays in the release date and a ban from several states; ‘Padmaavat’ is finally inching closer to see the light of the day on January 25, when it will hit the theatres.

Despite the growing tension (as we stand a week away from the movie’s release), the makers have posted this amazing teaser cum dialogue promo from the movie, which has honestly taken our excitement to a pinnacle and made the wait for the movie harder than ever.

Ever since his first look was released, people have been raving about Ranveer Singh’s Sultan ‘Alauddin Khilji’ look. With kohl-lined eyes, long tresses, a scar on his face and a cold deadly stare; Ranveer Singh not only owns the character; but declared it loud and clear that this movie is going to be his best performance ever. And the latest dialogue promo only cements the same.

The promo begins with a monologue where Ranveer boasts about the Khilji Dynasty’s dream to rule the world someday. And while we started falling in love with this mad king, Rajput king Maharawal Ratan Singh aka Shahid Kapoor comes in the frame and gives one of his best dialogue deliveries we have seen so far, “Keh dijiye apne sultan se, unki talwaar se zyada loha hum suryavanshiyon ke seene mein hai (Tell your Sultan, there is more power in the hearts of Suryavanshis than in the swords of the Khiljis).”
Although this is a 30-second short promo, it is nothing but pure awesomeness and the credit entirely goes to Ranveer and his portrayal of Khilji.
