Most of us use social media primarily for liking and posting pictures, stalking other people and tagging our friends on hilarious memes. Talking about memes, there was one particular meme posted last year, which made AIB cry tears of controversy and draw flak from people. That meme was of PM Modi, using a dog filter.
We are not trying to dig up old graves here, but that particular incident gave us two things – one, some people can’t take jokes and second, our PM Modi has a doppelganger who we clearly didn’t know about. And while some were busy criticizing the joke, others tracked down the guy and folks, that’s how we met MP Ramachandran, the Malayali man who broke the internet with literally just one picture.

Fast forward to the present time and Ramachandran, who is already a celebrity, is now all set for his acting debut with a Kannada movie. And the best part is, Ramachandran won’t have to undergo many changes because he will be playing PM Modi in the film, that’s reportedly based on demonetization.
Reportedly, Kannada filmmaker Appi Prasad has roped in MP Ramachandran to play PM Modi on screen for his obvious resemblance in a film on demonetization and the movie’s title is ‘Statement 8/11’. It will also show how demonetization changed the society.

According to a report in The New Indian Express, Ramachandran said, “They wanted me to act as the Prime Minister in their movie on demonetization.” He further added, “They even made changes to their script to include Modi’s character.”

Honestly, this movie should be categorized under ‘horror’ genre, as it will bring back the terror of losing Rs. 1000, Rs. 500 notes and standing in front of ATMs for hours. We will be reliving that terror once again while cherishing our ATM cards and wallets.
