It is common knowledge that Hollywood is fascinated by the subtle yet powerful presence of Irrfan Khan, which is why it was no surprise to witness him in the trailer of ‘Puzzle’.
Based on an Argentinean novel named ‘Puzzle’, the trailer for the movie has just dropped today and we have it on repeat already.

While actors find it difficult to choose the right films, Irrfan seems to have mastered the knack of picking scripts which highlight his talent. He is a global star who can entertain people worldwide effortlessly.
Starring Kelly Macdonald (Famous for ‘No Country For Old Men’ & ‘Gosford Park’) in the lead, ‘Puzzle’ is the story of Agnes, who is living an ordinary, mundane life. She wants more from life but can’t seem to because of the circumstances and responsibilities.
But her life finds new meaning when she solves a jigsaw puzzle for the first time as an adult. Even her husband Louie (David Denman) simply fails to understand what Agnes wants in life. Her desire to solve more puzzles leads her to Robert (Irrfan Khan), who inspires her and encourages her with right words, something that was missing from her life.

The 2-minute-16-second trailer is heart-warming, intriguing and talks about life in the most soothing manner. Robert is an accomplished businessman looking for a partner for a competition.
The clip brings you a tale of love, ambition, desire, life and we are blown by how simply the makers have represented this complex story. You see Agnes transforming into a confident woman, making you root for her.

Kelly is exceptional in the trailer and the film has a feel-good tone that keeps you hooked, but it is Irrfan’s presence that adds the missing element in the film, making it a beautiful watch. It makes you think about life like never before.
“Life is messy. There is nothing we can do to control anything,” says Irrfan in the trailer, giving us a clue that all the puzzle pieces in this film will eventually fit in the right place. Every dialogue delivered by Irrfan has a deep meaning that strikes the right chord in your heart.
The only blip is that the trailer reveals the entire story of the film, slightly dampening our excitement. But we hope there is more to the story than what’s shown because we are definitely looking forward to this one.
Directed by Marc Turtletaub, the film was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will release on July 13, 2018.
