Before we give out any details from their grand fairytale wedding, let’s first congratulate Rochelle Rao and Keith Sequeira, who are now officially married. Yes, the same Keith and Rochelle, who stole our hearts in the ninth season of India’s highly ‘masaledar’ reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’.

It seems like getting married secretly is the latest trend among our beloved celebrities. Last year, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma surprised all their fans in December last year when they secretly got married in Italy. Now, it’s Rochelle and Keith who chose to go the Virushka way and got married in a hush-hush beach style wedding.

Congratulations Keith and Rochelle. Your love story and now these wedding pictures are proof that emotions, feelings and love for each other, can never be scripted even if it’s a reality show. 

Thanks to certain unexpected *cough* goof ups *cough* things that happened last year at the Oscars, expectations and excitement was higher than usual as we sat in front of our screens to watch the 90th Academy Awards unfold.

And this time around too, the awards night did not disappoint us and for most part of the entertainment we can give the credit to legendary actress Meryl Streep.

Meryl Streep is up for her 21st award this year and we can officially call it a record now, because achievement will be too small a word to use for someone who has the most number of Academy Award nominations.

When Meryl Streep is not busy winning our hearts and all the major awards with her exceptional performance, she spends her time updating her own meme (not really).

We are now wondering who wore it better – Streep or the Godmother herself.

The Oscars is around the corner, precisely one week away, and I am sure most of you will be thinking about this question right now. Who will be this year’s Leonardo DiCaprio? Well, if you didn’t think earlier, I am sure you will now. 

Yeah I know I am talking about something that happened 2 years ago. But, at least reminiscing that moment is better than reminding you guys about the epic goof-up that happened between ‘Moonlight’ and ‘La La Land’. To refresh your memories, ‘La La Land’ was announced the Best Picture instead of ‘Moonlight’, giving the world another Steve Harvey moment.

Anyway, the point is, this time our expectations from the nominations are quite high and given the killer line-up of nominees, we are confirmed that this year’s Oscars is going to be one eventful night.  

While, people are discussing categories like Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Actress, there is one certain category that has been grabbing eyeballs like no one else. We are talking about the Best Animated Feature films.

Honestly, you are never too old to watch an animated movie, and when those movies are as exceptional as the ones mentioned here; you shouldn’t bother thinking twice. 

So, before the world knows who will take the award home, let’s check these nominations out and see if they truly deserve to be in the list or not.

The Boss Baby

Babies are cute! But this little fella here means only business…strict business. Honestly, a business suit with a briefcase is not an image you associate with a toddler, but he isn’t any ordinary kid. This baby is a secret agent. Director Tom McGrath’s hard work and efforts reflect in each frame of the movie. Alec Baldwin, Miles Bakshi, Lisa Kudrow, and Jimmy Kimmel among others, have done the voiceover for this movie. 

The Breadwinner

Based on the best-selling novel by Deborah Ellis, ‘The Breadwinner’ touches base with the struggles of a young girl whose father gets unjustly arrested. The girl then decides to dress as a boy, so she can help support her mother, sister and younger brother.  

Angelina Jolie is the executive producer of this brilliant film. In the past couple of days, ‘The Breadwinner’ has earned many awards and we aren’t surprised because the movie is damn good. It is directed by Nora Twomey.

Coco

I don’t know if it’s just me or you guys feel the same way too, but there is something about the Pixar movies that just weave magic with literally anything. Based on the original idea by director Lee Unkrich, ‘Coco’ narrates the story of a 12-year-old boy Miguel Rivera. Miguel gets accidentally transported to the land of the dead and then begins his journey to not only return among the living, but also to unearth certain secrets and find out where his true passion lies.  

Ferdinand

Directed by Carlos Saldanha, ‘Ferdinand’ was based on Munro Leaf and Robert Lawson’s children’s book. The movie talks about a gentle bull who refuses to participate in bullfighting, but eventually is forced back into the fighting arena. However, Ferdinand decides to take matters in his own hands and not only escape himself but also help everyone else run away from the place, where they were kept.

John Cena has lent his voice to the character of Ferdinand.

Loving Vincent

This is the most unusual and the most special film from the lot. Why? Because ‘Loving Vincent’ is the world’s first fully oil painted feature film. Written and directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, this movie is said to be an animated biographical drama that talks about the life of painter Vincent van Gogh. Interestingly, there are 65,000 frames in the movie and all of them are oil painting on canvas. Using the same technique as Van Gogh, this has been created by a team of over 100 painters.
