There’s no denying that for most of our childhood, we were primarily obsessed and occupied with superheroes and cartoons. While both are great in their own respective domain, don’t you think it will be great if the cartoon characters and superheroes could switch places? I am sure I am not the only one thinking along similar lines.

So, what do you do when you want the best of both worlds to come together? Expect the directors to read your mind and turn your wild imagination into a movie? Wait for someone to think of a similar idea and then regret for the rest of your life? No. You go ahead and make the movie or its trailer on your own. That’s exactly what this YouTuber SJPLAY did – by making a trailer of ‘Avengers’ using Disney and Pixar characters and this crossover between the two worlds is everything we could ever ask for.

There is no dearth of fan made videos or fan theories, but each time someone comes up with a fan-edit video, our hearts swell up with excitement.

This user took clips from movies like ‘Frozen’, ‘Toy Story’, ‘Wreck-It Ralph’, ‘Monster University’ and ‘Big Hero 6’ and then matched them with scenes from the ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ trailer. Can we just bow down in front of this guy’s creative ingenuity? Can we give him an Oscar for portraying Buzz and Woody as Iron Man and Captain America? Or for comparing ‘Toy Story 3′ villain Lots-o’-Huggin bear with Thanos?

We can probably watch this video on loop the whole day and never get tired of it. This video is pure gold and will leave you rolling on the floor laughing, by the time you’re done watching it.

With barely any time left for the release of Marvel Studio’s ‘Black Panther’ and ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (May 4th to be precise), teasers and trailers have already started flooding our newsfeed. However, it is these mashups and fan made videos released simultaneously, which are making this wait tougher with each passing day.

Despite its release and the movie glorifying the courage, bravery and valour of the Rajput community, the Karni Sena does not seem to be in a mood to let the controversies die down anytime soon.

From burning and attacking buses, vandalizing public property to wrecking havoc in various parts of the country, the Karni Sena has showed with its actions that it can go to extreme lengths to put a ban on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’; so much so that they burned down a car of their own group member (yet, no one looked at their determination and instead said ‘jaisi karni waisi bharni’).

karni sena burns carTwitter

However, after failing to put a ban on the release of this magnum opus, looks like the Karni Sena has decided to go for the ultimate ‘eye for an eye’ strategy by stepping inside the director’s shoes. Reportedly, in a recent press conference, the Rajput Karni Sena has announced that they will now make a movie on Bhansali’s mother. And they have even decided a name for the movie. It will be titled ‘Leela Ki Leela’. The film will be directed by Arvind Vyas and the script work has already started.

The Karni Sena leader, Govind Singh Khangarot, said, “Bhansali has insulted our mother Padmavati, but we will ensure that he feels proud of the movie we will make.” He further added, “As our country gives right to expression to everyone, we will ensure that this right is used to its fullest.” The choice of words sure is hilarious and ironic, given how they spent the past few days protesting the movie’s ban.

Karni sena PadmaavatViacom 18 Motion Pictures

The movie will most probably be shot across Rajasthan. Well, if we go by the conditions that Karni Sena earlier raised during ‘Padmaavat’s making, isn’t this going to be distortion of facts? Since everyone knows that Bhansali was born in Mumbai and his family is Gujarati?

sanjay leela bhansaliBCCL

Since the Karni Sena is making a movie on Bhansali’s mother, shouldn’t they too take permission from Bhansali and even if refused, allow him to go and vandalise the sets of ‘Leela Ki Leela’ too? Shouldn’t they too agree to CBFC’s innumerable cuts and Bhansali’s demand for changing the movie’s name and removing scenes that he does not like?

Well, it will only seem fair if this happens. But, we guess only time will tell how the entire event unfolds. Until then, let’s wait for Bhansali’s reaction to this news.

Thanks to the release of movies like ‘IT’, ‘Get Out’, ‘Annabelle: Creation’, ‘Gerald’s Game’ and more, 2017 was an unmatched visual treat for all the horror genre lovers. These movies and the directors behind them messed with our brains like no one else and instilled fear in our minds with their thrilling, trippy and unimaginably weird storyline.

And looks like 2018 won’t be any different either. In fact, it will be weirder, bizarre and more frightening than the previous year(s) because the directors are now leaving no stone unturned while toying with the horror genre. If you think that ‘Insidious’ is going to be the scariest movie this year, you are clearly missing out on the best or should we say the most chilling and bloodcurdling experience ever.

hereditary 2018 movieA24

Horror is hands down one of the trickiest genres to play with. Unlike other genres, horror movies benefit from the collective fear it infuses in the audience and in all honesty, no horror film can ever be considered a great one if it fails to make people jump from their seats, scream in fear or shudder for at least a few hours after the movie is finished. And Ari Aster’s directorial debut ‘Hereditary’ hints at doing the exact same thing.

After it premiered recently at the Sundance Film Festival (yes, the one that Priyanka Chopra has been constantly posting about), film experts and audience present inside the theatre have unanimously called ‘Hereditary’ as the ‘scariest horror movie in years’. Ari Aster’s directorial debut has earned the reputation of being an exceptionally scary horror movie and, given this hype, we honestly can’t wait to watch this now.

Well, coming from A24, the production house that has earlier given us movies like ‘Green Room’, ‘The Witch’ and ‘Lady Bird’; it doesn’t come as a surprise that this movie is being praised so much.

hereditary 2018 movieA24

‘Hereditary’ revolves around the lives of a family and a mysterious legacy they find themselves entwined in, after the family’s matriarch passes away. Toni Collette plays Annie graham who’s is in a state of shock after her mother Ellen’s death. After the family moves into Ellen’s house, strange and eerie things start happening to the family and they begin to unravel cryptic and terrifyingly dark secrets about their ancestry. Hence, the tagline – ‘Every family tree hides a secret’.

Aster has done a great job in giving nightmares to people with its unnerving and unsettling plot, but this slowly gripping tension, unexpected jump scares and scenes that will take more than prayers to sink in and get over, is what is making people love and fear this movie.

The movie is expected to release on June 8, 2018 and also stars Gabriel Byrne and Ann Dowd. So folks, it’s time to gear up for another crazy movie night with your bros. Dare them to watch ‘Hereditary’ with you once it releases.

Oscar nominee Guillermo del Toro needs no introduction. He is undoubtedly one of the finest directors, a glimpse of which we saw in his latest movie, ‘The Shape of Water’ that acts as a window to del Toro’s incredible world of fantasies and fairy tales for adults. While del Toro is basking in the success of ‘The Shape of Water’, it is only a fraction of the incredible movies he has given us.

After toying with our imagination with his intriguing aquatic monster, del Toro is now low-key gearing up for another kickass sci-fi monster movie, ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’, a sequel to his 2013 movie ‘Pacific Rim’.

Check Out The Insane Trailer Of John Boyega's 'Pacific Rim: Uprising'© Universal Pictures

The first installment enjoyed a good amount of success in the sci-fi genre back then, and by the looks of the recently released trailer, the sequel too is going to be great as it promises to be bigger and better than the first one. In the first movie, Raleigh’s commanding officer, Stacker Pentecost gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous ‘Kaiju’, a bunch of huge alien sea monsters who invaded the planet from an interdimensional portal called the Breach located at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

Check Out The Insane Trailer Of John Boyega's 'Pacific Rim: Uprising'© Universal Pictures

Fast forward ten years and ‘Kaiju’ aliens have been summoned to earth by someone (with an unknown agenda) and it is now in the hands of Stacker’s son Jake Pentecost, an ex-Jaeger pilot to save the world. ‘Star Wars’ actor John Boyega has been roped in to play Jake, who will take down the Kaiju in a deadly conflict between these sea monsters and the human-piloted super machines. How Jake steps out of the shadow of his father’s legacy and expectations and writes his own victory story weaves the rest of the plot.

The trailer completely lives up to the hype that people were expecting from the ‘Pacific Rim’ sequel and Boyega truly stands out as the baddest action hero of this year.

Trailer highlight: Jake Pentecost’s inspiring speech, which manages to strike the right chords with us; although it doesn’t inch any close to Idris Elba’s iconic ‘Cancelling the apocalypse’ speech in the first one.

The movie is directed by Steven S. DeKnight and also features actors Charlie day, Burn Gorman, Scott Eastwood, Rinko Kikuchi, Cailee Spaeny and Jing Tian. ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’ is expected to release on March 23, 2018.

In 2014, former prime minister Manmohan Singh’s media advisor (2004-2008) and Indian policy analyst, Sanjaya Baru, stirred up quite a storm with the release of his controversial book, ‘The Accidental Prime Minister: The Making and Unmaking of Manmohan Singh’. The book, back then, gave fodder to the opposition and the nation to question Manmohan Singh’s powers and the impact of the Congress party and its leader Sonia Gandhi, on the decisions he made during his tenure.

While, the book alleged that he was not entirely in control of his cabinet, Singh, however, asserted that there was no truth or authenticity in the account. Well, fast forward to the present time and we already know that a movie on the same is in the works.

Suzanne Bernert Will Play Sonia Gandhi In 'The Accidental Prime Minister'© bohra bros production

We already know that actor Anupam Kher will take on the challenging role of Manmohan Singh in ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’, and now another pivotal cast member has been revealed and it looks amazing.

35-year-old German-born actress, Suzanne Bernert has been roped in to step into the shoes of Sonia Gandhi, in this upcoming Indian biographical political film. Surprisingly, this is not the first time she will be portraying Sonia Gandhi on-screen. According to Economic Times, Bernert has earlier played Gandhi in a political documentary TV series titled ‘Pradhanmantri’. This TV series was hosted by actor and director Shekhar Kapur. The show chronicled the history of India, starting from the post-Independence days.

While, the makers had their eyes set on an Italian actress for this critical role, they changed their minds after watching Bernert’s audition. Producer Sunil Bohra, who has earlier worked on movies like ‘Shahid’, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ series told ET, “Not only does she look the part, but her dialogue delivery is identical to Sonia Gandhi’s. Her audition was truly persuasive.”

Bernert is not a new name in the entertainment industry. She has earlier acted in a lot of movies and daily soaps like ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’ and ‘Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat’.

Reportedly, actors for the roles of Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, have also been shortlisted.

Directed by Vijay Gutte, ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’ is expected to release on December 21, 2018 and despite being low-key, we feel the film has everything it needs to break the internet and rule the box-office.

Shah Rukh Khan is the uncontested king of Bollywood and a global superstar, whose charm is not only infectious but extremely hard to resist. On days when Bollywood’s Baadshah is not busy teaching Virat Kohli how to impress Anushka Sharma, or sweeping people off their feet with his amazing movies; SRK ensures that he leaves no stone unturned in bringing about a positive change and doing his bit for the society.

And while our hearts have always beamed with pride for Khan who has always contributed to the society, the World Economic Forum (WEF) too acknowledged the same by rewarding Khan with the 24th Crystal Award yesterday. He received the award for “his leadership in championing children’s and women’s rights in India.”

Honoured to receive the @wef’s 24th Crystal Award, together with @eltonofficial and Cate Blanchett. My fan moment!!

Khan needs no introduction. He is a great actor who has been ruling people’s hearts with his charm, wit and humour. But, not many people know that he is also a philanthropist and founder of the non-profit organization Meer Foundation, which provides support to female victims of acid attacks and major burn injuries through medical treatment, legal aid, vocational training, rehabilitation and livelihood support.

Our excitement is already skyrocketing and touching the outer space, because the sky is too small a limit to set for Shah Rukh Khan.

In fact, Khan also created a specialized children’s hospital ward and provided support to the childcare centers with free boarding for children undergoing cancer treatment. WEF awarded Khan for his charitable work for the victims of acid attacks at Davos.

With this award, SRK has joined the league of Cate Blanchett and Sir Elton John, who were honoured for their philanthropy at the Davos platform as well. Blanchett received an award for her work with refugees and Sir Elton John received the award for his campaigning on HIV/AIDS.

What’s more, he thanked WEF for the award and ended his speech with ‘namaskar’ and by saying ‘Jai Hind’.

Be it touching base with the challenges present in the society to ‘fanboying’ over Cate Blanchett and asking for a selfie publicly, SRK proved to the world and the guests present at Davos why people love him so much. In fact, after asking for a selfie, he immediately said that it might leave his children embarrassed and the audience broke into laughter.

He said, “I am genuinely and deeply grateful for this honour. It is indeed a privilege to be in the company of two phenomenal and extraordinary human beings and talent, Cate Blanchett and Sir Elton John.”

While, he floored everyone at the forum and left everyone impressed with his speech; his fans back home were happy and jumping for another reason. His Instagram post where he posed with his signature open arm style.

As we inch closer to the release date of ‘Black Panther’, Marvel and superhero fans are finding it difficult to contain their excitement. And this wait is getting tougher with each passing day as Marvel is busy bombarding us with teasers, TV spots and trailers.

With just a few days left for the movie to hit the theatres, Marvel has dropped a Hindi trailer that is sure to make you shout ‘Ab aayega mazaa’, while sitting in front of your screens watching the video. The trailer begins with a voiceover talking about aliens and other mystical creatures and how something like this has never been seen before. And that’s when our beloved Chadwick Boseman comes on screen and brings along with him some kickass action, a glimpse of which we have already seen in previous trailers and teasers.

This trailer might crack you up, especially in parts where you hear dialogues like ‘Ghar aa gaya’, ‘Beta, ab waqt tumhara hai’ and ‘Wakanda Zindabad’; but the video manages to retain the original essence and the background music and killer action is sure to keep you hooked to it.

Having said that, did you know that this ‘Black Panther’ is connected to Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster franchise, ‘Baahubali’? No, you won’t spot Katappa killing Baahubali, neither will you see the great Mahishmati kingdom popping out of nowhere. Well, the catch is this – Marvel Studios roped in ‘Baahubali’ writer and lyricist Manoj Muntashir to pen the dialogues for the Hindi version. Honestly, we would love to watch T’Challa and Eric Killmonger discuss why Katappa killed Baahubali, but that’s not going to happen.

Directed by Ryan Coogler, ‘Black Panther’ talks about the life and struggles of T’Challa, after he becomes the king of Wakanda post his father’s death. ‘Black Panther’ is expected to release on February 16.

People bond over food, small talk, hatred for a common person, movies and even politics; but fitness freaks and Bollywood’s hottest hunks Varun Dhawan and Kartik Aaryan are bonding over gym sessions and their Instagram videos and images are already making men burn with jealousy and women go weak in their knees.

While, Varun Dhawan’s love for fitness is known to everyone, Kartik Aaryan recently floored us all by shedding his chocolate boy avatar and transform into a chiseled hunk with ripped abs. Well, now it seems the two have become gym buddies who are often spotted working out together at Prashant Sawant’s Body Sculptor.

The two recently clicked a picture of them working out in the gym and Varun too had once captured Kartik’s dance moves.

Speaking to MensXP, a source said, “Varun and Kartik have bonded really well on their common love for fitness. They happen to work together at the same fitness centre. Kartik has always admired Varun’s love for fitness and is himself determined to keep working hard to maintain his body.”

Although, the two haven’t appeared together in any movie as of now, we hope to see this gym camaraderie in films sometime soon. Currently, Kartik is gearing up for his upcoming movie ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’. On the work front, Varun is busy with Shoojit Sircar’s ‘October’.

Since the past few days, Bollywood’s livewire Ranveer Singh has been turning several heads and breaking the internet like no one else. Basically, just another day in his life. Thankfully this time he is not making headlines for the controversies hovering around Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmaavat’, but for his own quirks and unparalleled style.

On days when he is not busy flooring us with his evil and conniving Sultan Khilji avatar, or making our jaws drop with his insane transformation for his next movie ‘Gully Boy’; Ranveer indulges in doing what he is best at – leave us gasping for air with his crazy ass and skyrocketing energy level. And last night’s 63rd Jio Filmfare Awards 2018 was no different.

Ranveer Singh Plays Tribute To Legendary Bappi Lahiri(c)Viacom 18 Motion Pictures

For once, people might not pay much attention to the awards night or the winners’ list, but I am sure almost everyone went berserk the moment Ranveer walked the red carpet. Reason? The suit he wore that couldn’t have been more ‘filmy’ than this. But, we all know that Ranveer is not someone who will settle only for turning heads with his swag-studded outfit. So, he went ahead and danced his heart out to the Bollywood tunes from the 80s and 90s and proved why he deserves to hold the title of Bollywood’s livewire.

With a tiger print outfit, starry sunglasses, afro wig and big silver chains; Ranveer left no stone unturned in looking ‘extra’ and add that much needed ‘bling’ to his tribute performance for Bappi Da.

Singh posted this picture on Instagram with the caption ‘Rock Royalty’. In the picture he is seen chilling with Bappi Da like it’s nobody’s business.

Last night, Bappi Lahiri was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award and together with Ranveer’s performance; this moment deserves to be written in the golden pages of Bollywood as one of the best highlights from any award show ever.

After winning our hearts with his exceptional performance in movies like ‘Haider’ and ‘Udta Punjab’, actor Shahid Kapoor is all set to spearhead the valour, bravery and courage of the Rajput community by taking on the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial film ‘Padmaavat’.

However, at times your past can come back to haunt you at a time when you least expect things to go wrong and Shahid Kapoor learnt it the hard (or should we say hilarious) way; all thanks to this Twitter user’s honest review of his decade old movie ‘Vivah’.

From making clichéd romantic movies to touching base with socially relevant issues, Bollywood has come a long way, and over the years, it has been responsible for giving us some of the brilliant cinematic masterpieces. However, there are certain decade-old movies, which we loved and appreciated back then, but will now look extremely ridiculous or funny if we watch them now. Those movies are mocked or disliked today because of their cliché plot, overacting of the cast, importance of ‘sanskaar’ which is at times forcefully imposed on you, and the obvious misogyny; which will now probably make your blood boil with anger or applaud those movies with slow claps.

via GIPHY

People call Alok Nath as the president of the prestigious ‘Sanskaar’ academy, let’s not forget the dean of that institution, Sooraj Barjatya. Barjatya’s movies taught us how to invade someone’s privacy in the name of family, how to make sexism sound completely cool and also gave us a free guide to learn how to do kanyadaan. It seems Alok Nath’s ultimate aim to join Bollywood was to do kanyadaan or get someone or the other married in his family. And ‘Vivah’ wasn’t any different either.

While, some of us thoroughly enjoyed the movie, let’s take some time out and enjoy this ‘Vivah Appreciation Thread’.

I bet no one really liked Mrs. Sanskaari, until the last few seconds of the movie.

The flashbacks scenes gave the basic idea that Poonam was his niece but he adopted her after her parents died. Mrs. Sanskaari hated her because she was prettier than the real daughter. Even in the flashbacks Alok Nath looked old and 60 pic.twitter.com/50YZKte9of

It is also said that Alok Nath is so sanskaari he did the kanyadaan of his own wife. If he was cast in Taken replacing Liam Neeson he would have said “I don’t know who you are I don’t know what you want but I will find you and will do your kanyadaan”
