Well, it’s the middle of the week, the weekend is close but not close enough, so here’s a video that will hopefully make your day and make this dreaded Wednesday a little better. 

Anything involving cute lil doggos is always adorable, but when you add none other than Tom Hardy to the mix, then you have something incredibly special. It turns out that when Tom Hardy is not giving Oscar worthy performances and getting hilarious tattoos after losing bets to his famous BFFs, he’s busy irritating his cute little pets. See, celebrities are just as weird as us when it comes to their pets, that feels a little satisfying, not gonna lie.

The best video to have ever existed has Tom Hardy performing some lines of his character as Bane from ‘Batman’ for his dog while wearing a jockstrap on his face. Wow, wasn’t that wild from start to finish? The only thing that elevates the video even more is his dog’s expression at the end. It’s like he’s trying to say “this human is supposed to be smarter than me? Really?”

The actor, who played the infamous Batman villain in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, which came out six years ago, decided to record himself perform for the only one that mattered – his adorable pupper.

Reciting his famous Bane lines to his pup while they lay on his bed, he said, “You think darkness is your ally? I was born in the dark, molded by it…” That is cool as it is, but just the fact that he used a jockstrap as a makeshift Bane makes the whole thing so much better. Just imagine the movie but instead of that fancy and expensive mask, they just use a freaking jockstrap. I would honestly pay a lot of money to watch it.

The clip is apparently from 2016, but has recently gone viral again, because well, just look at it. The completely uninterested doggo in the video is his beloved Labrador Woody, who sadly passed away last year. 

In an emotional post following his death, he wrote, “To the bestest friend ever. To me and to a family who loved him beyond words and whom he loved, without doubt, more than I have ever known. Woody was the bestest of journey companions we ever could dream of having. Our souls intertwined forever.”

I’m personally very glad that the video is doing the rounds again because everyone needs this kind of positivity in their lives.

You know how people just get wiser with age, but Shah Rukh Khan just keeps getting wiser and wittier, because well, he is the King Khan after all and he always takes everything up a notch. And, thanks to social media, we all get to enjoy his world-famous wit every day.

He’s the most followed Indian actor on Twitter, and well, no surprises there, but if you’ve ever gone through his tweets, you will understand it’s not just because he’s SRK, but he puts his humour on full display there and regularly interacts with his millions of fans.

Demi Lovato – A true inspiration of our time

‘Deep Blue Sea’ is finally back with a sequel after almost 20 years, and this time the sharks are smarter than the last time. The first movie came out on 1999 and is mainly remembered for one thing – Samuel L. Jackson getting straight wrecked by a shark.

And, now the wait for a highly anticipated sequel is over. What’s worse than a huge killing machine? A huge killing machine with the brains to outsmart a human, and that’s basically the premise of this movie. 

‘Deep Blue Sea 2’ stars Dannielle Savre as shark conservationist Dr. Misty Calhoun, a scientist who has a lot of concerns about billionaire Carl Durant’s experiments on bull sharks. Well, obviously, why even conduct any kind of experiments on a freaking shark?

The trailer shows that Calhoun’s scepticism about Durant’s experiments is obviously reasonable, since the sharks failed to obey anyone and instead went on a flesh-eating rampage. Wow, who would have thought that? How did messing with sharks not end well?

Apparently, Durant has genetically altered the sharks to make them full of “teeth, muscle, and killer instincts”, but isn’t that every shark ever, though?

The sequel doesn’t feature any of the original cast, and even the sharks featured through bad CGI are bull sharks instead of mako sharks like the first one. But, despite that, the storyline seems quite similar; even though experiments are being done on the sharks are performed with the ultimate goal of unlocking human potential rather than finding a cure to Alzheimer’s.

When will people understand that nothing good will come out of trying to make sharks ‘smarter’? Will they just kill you in more creative ways?

While a lot of people are referring to this movie as ‘the sequel no one wanted’, my main problem with it is the fact that it wasn’t called ‘Deep Blue Sequel’. Let’s be real, that’s such a big wasted opportunity.

The movie will get a direct release on DVD and Blu-ray later this year. Check out the trailer: 

In every single way, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is on a level that no one can truly match. A former wrestler, he’s now one of the biggest names in Hollywood, and he made that transition flawlessly. Even though his days as a professional wrestler has probably prepared him for all kinds of stunts, he still sometimes needs help, and he gets by with a little help from his family. Actually, a cousin – who could be his twin – to be exact.

When the stunts in his movies get a little too much for even The Rock to handle, then steps in Tanoai Reed, a Hawaiian-born Hollywood stunt performer. Since Tanoai is Johnson’s cousin, that really says something about the gene pool, doesn’t it?

Tanoai Reed calls his cousin DJ, and I have to admit that’s a cool nickname. Why don’t more people call him that? Okay, maybe ‘The Rock’ sounds really cool as it is. Tanoai admitted that he is an avid follower of his cousin’s movie career, and is behind a lot of the stunts in his blockbuster movies.

While talking to UNILAD, he said, “Working with DJ was literally a dream come true. We only first met on the set of his first starring role movie The Scorpion King. Before that, I admit I was a huge fan of his and was actually “The Rock” for Halloween the year before I started working with him.”

Tanoai has been in the game for a really long time and has racked up an impressive 23 years as a professional stuntman. Moreover, he has been doubling for The Rock for the past 16 years as well. Now, that’s a long partnership. I can’t imagine The Rock backing down from anything – after all he was a professional wrestler before his smooth transition into acting – but at least his cousin has his back.

This beautiful partnership started back in 2002, when Tanoai doubled for Johnson on the set of ‘The Scorpion King’, and has now lasted for almost two decades. It can also be thanks to the uncanny resemblance between the two, and obviously their physical fitness, which quite evidentally runs in the family. And, as if that wasn’t enough, both of them also have matching traditional tattoos which they got back in the nineties to honour their rich heritage of Samoan and Norwegian, Swedish and Irish descent.

Tanoai has worked with Johnson on Faster, The Other Guys, Pain & Gain, San Andreas, Be Cool, Gridiron Gang, the Fast & Furious franchise and Baywatch.

It has been a long partnership, but not a smooth one; back in 2003 Tanoai shattered his ankle while completing a dangerous stunt in The Rundown, which involved tumbling down a cliff side. Recalling that, he said, “Being a stuntman had its ups and downs (no pun intended) but overall I couldn’t see myself doing anything else. We get paid to crash cars, jump off buildings and do other things most people wouldn’t normally get to do.”

While we try to keep up with the Kardashians, Reed has to religiously keep up with The Rock. He said, “I have to stay in shape to double him. If he leans out, I need to lean out. If he packs on muscle for a certain role, I must do the same. I also need to be in great physical shape to perform the stunts I do so I won’t get injured. We both have great genetics so our physiques are similar.”

He added, “DJ eats very clean and works out very hard to achieve his look. It’s a great challenge for me, but it’s my career. He motivates me and supports me as well. Lots of love and respect between the two of us.”
