'Hereditary' Is Being Called The Scariest Movie Of The Year & The Trailer Is Horrifying AF

It’s only the first month into 2018 but people have already found the ‘scariest movie of the year’. The trailer of ‘Hereditary’ is out now and it sure looks spooky as hell.

It stars Toni Collette and Gabriel Byrne and the story revolves around a family which is trying hard to deal with grief. The family has clearly inherited some dark and deep secrets from their ancestors and that is what the characters keep discovering.

The movie opened at the Sundance festival which has proved lucky for many horror movies in the past, including last year’s massive hit, ‘Get Out’.  The writer and director Ari Aster tries to spin the classic haunted house tale in a modern day setting. When Ellen passes away, her daughter’s family begins to discover cryptic secrets related to their ancestry. The movie is scheduled to release in June in the US and it looks pretty exciting.

The movie has already wowed the overseas audience and has won many awards and accolades for a stellar story telling and brilliant performance. In fact Ishaan has already won his first award at an international award function. That speaks volumes about what B-town is expecting from him.

The movie explores the joy and hardships that love, family and companionship bring with them, and even though he was being called a product of nepotism, you have got to give him full points for doing such a brilliant job in his debut movie. Ishaan is currently shooting for ‘Dhadak’ opposite Jhanvi Kapoor in Karan Johar’s production.

You know how sometimes a story or a song strikes a wonderful chord with our hearts that whenever we revisit it, we learn something new about what is does to our understanding and how we feel about it. ‘Tum Saath Ho’ from the movie ‘Tamasha’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is exactly that magical tune that touches you everytime you listen to it. The whole situation, the raw emotions expressed in that scene, the expressions and the impecabble natural acting of conflicting emotions is unmatched.

While the credit of the scene definitely goes to the actors, but Imtiaz Ali the director of the movie also takes away a major chunk of applause for his beautiful way of directing it. In a recent video with Film Companion, Imtiaz shared a few insights on what led to the brilliance of the final product of the scenes that eventually led to the wonderful song ‘Tum Saath Ho’. He shars some inside information about the shoot and how the actors got into the chaacter and how they managed to improvise on the whol script themselves. The whole video gives a new meaning to the song after you watch him explain it.

How many of us knew that there were three versions of this song before this one came up or how this scene in the cafe was shot over two nights and the actors had to emotionally prepare to that. The song combines the brliiance of his direction, the stellar acting of Ranbir and Deepika, the musical genius of A.R Rahman and ofcourse the magic of Alka Yagnik and Arijit Singh.

When you watched Khal Drogo, the man demanded a certain level of respect and also invoked fear at the same time. You know it didn’t matter if you were watching him on the TV screen, Jason Momoa owned the role like no one could. Actually if you think of it, no one comes to mind who could have done it better. Just look at that stare. Chills!

It totally sucked that the character was killed shortly but it became an iconic role in itself nevertheless. However, if you do some basic maths, you will realise that it wasn’t until a very long time post the first season that we saw him on the screen again. Right? Well, turns out there was a reason behind this absence. 

On a recent outing with Jimmy Fallon on his show, Jason explained how many people thought he couldn’t speak English! So eventually thanks to the strong Khal Drogo character, people couldn’t figure out how to place him in a movie.

Even though it sounds ridiculous and funny to us as fans, turns out it was a genuine problem he was facing work wise. Though we are glad that someone figured out soon that he is not from the North or doesn’t actually lead a tribe but is just a fabulous actor, otherwise how would have ‘Bad Batch’ and ‘Aquaman’ happened to him ? If you follow him on social media, he makes for a visual treat.

While Shilpa earned Rs 1.29 Cr, which means that Hina is richer by 46 lakhs.
