That’s where Damien Chazelle and Ryan Gosling come into the picture. The last time director Damien Chazelle and Ryan Gosling came together, the world got an Oscar-winning movie ‘La La Land’. Now the duo is working on ‘First Man’, a biopic chronicling the life of Neil Armstrong who was the first person to walk on the moon. The trailer of this biopic recently touched down on the internet and looks like the duo is aiming to pick another Oscar next year.

The trailer and direction is intense and strong, just like the name of the person it’s based on. The movie is based on Armstrong’s biography ‘First Man: The Life Of Neil A. Armstrong’ by James R. Hansen. The trailer begins with Gosling staring at a Saturn V rocket as it lifts off and focuses on his life between the years of 1961 and 1969. From there the trailer skyrockets towards the moon (quite literally). The movie also gives a glimpse at how Armstrong’s ambition affected his marriage and children, who are skeptical about his chances of survival.

If you couldn’t spot Jimmy Kimmel in the 2 minute 45 seconds trailer, trust me you’re not alone.
‘First Man’ also stars Claire Foy as Janet Armstrong, Kyle Chandler, Patrick Fugit, Ciaran Hinds, Ethan Embry, Pablo Schreiber and Corey Stoll and is expected to release on October 12, 2018.
