If you ever have doubts regarding any festival dates, particularly Eid, don’t look at the calendar hanging on your wall, go and search for Salman Khan’s movies instead. You can trust him because his films and Eid always go hand in hand. Be it ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Sultan’ or his latest release ‘Tubelight’, it seems Salman Khan has found his success mantra in releasing movies on Eid. Carrying forward the legacy, Salman has already sorted out plans for Eid 2019.

Salman, who is currently busy with his upcoming movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ will soon join Atul Agnihotri and director Ali Abbas Zafar for ‘Bharat’, which is an official remake of the 2014 Korean movie ‘Ode To My Father’. Set in the backdrop of Korean War in 1950, the movie revolves around a young boy who gets separated from his father and sister during the Hungnam Evacuation, and how he struggles for years to find them and reunite with his family.

Producer Atul Agnihotri was instantly drawn towards it when he saw the film at the Berlin Film Festival, so he went ahead and acquired the official rights for the remake. However, he says that ‘Bharat’ is going to be a special one and the Korean movie is a source of inspiration. “That film is just the starting point for ours but since it was an inspiration, we wanted in all fairness to officially own it and acquired the remake rights before going ahead with ‘Bharat’,” he was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

Further giving details about the film, Agnihotri said, “It’s the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat.” ‘Ode To My Father’ is considered to be one of the classic Korean movies and it will be interesting to see how Agnihotri and Zafar bring a desi touch to it. The film will be shot at various locations like Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi. Talking about any big names attached to the film other than Salman, Agnihotri said, “Casting will be our main agenda over the next three months and since it’s a character-driven story, we will take actors who fit the part. It won’t be about getting names together but will be honest in its depiction.”

The storyline and the deadly trio of Salman Khan-Atul Agnihotri-Ali Abbas Zafar have already raised our excitement to a pinnacle, although it’s only 2017 (and we still have a year to go). But, there’s nothing to be disappointed about, Salman’s ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ opposite Katrina Kaif, which is also helmed by Zafar is going to hit the theatres this December.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has booked Eid 2019 as the release date of his next film, ‘Bharat’. The 51-year-old star will play the title role in the movie, which will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. With ‘Bharat’, the actor is continuing with the trend of releasing his films on Eid. The movie is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film, ‘Ode to My Father’, which narrates modern Korean history from the 1950s to the modern day through the life of an ordinary man and events such as the Hungnam Evacuation during the 1950 Korean War.

The film will also depict the government’s decision to dispatch nurses and miners to West Germany in the ’60s and the Vietnam War.

“Bharat” will be backed by Atul Agnihotri, who attended the South Korean film’s screening at Berlin Film Festival, where it was identified as potential content for the Indian masses.

Agnihotri says their adaptation will be inspired by the original movie but the story will be based closer to home.

“It’s the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat. That film is just the starting point for ours but since it was an inspiration, we wanted in all fairness to officially own it and acquired the remake rights before going ahead with Bharat,” he said in a release.

The producer also said Salman was the right choice to play the role of the protagonist, given his long association with his brother-in-law as an actor, producer and director. The actor-producer duo’s film will hit the celluloid on the festive period once again post the blockbuster 2011 “Bodyguard”.

“It’s a character that I thought would resonate with him. It’s a huge responsibility making a film with Salman as there are big expectations that come with the job. I’m very conscious about Salman’s fan base and what they want. And once again, I’m convinced that being a family film it’s worthy of coming during the festive time. And anyway, an Eid release is always every producer’s preferred choice.”

Agnihotri added director Zafar is excited and “passionate” to a part of the project.

“Ali is a friend, I love his work and eventually it’s all about connecting with the source. If you speak to him, you will realise that Ali is far more passionate about the material,” he said.

Salman has worked with Zafar in 2016’s blockbuster “Sultan” and their much-awaited film “Tiger Zinda Hai” up for release on December 22.

“Bharat” will be shot on elaborate sets in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India.

“Casting will be our main agenda over the next three months and since it’s a character-driven story, we will take actors who fit the part,” he added.

With Shah Rukh Khan tied up with the shoot of Aanand L Rai’s film, word is his TV show, TED Talks India: Nayi Soch, has been postponed indefinitely. It was slated to roll post Diwali, but looks like it won’t happen anytime soon, not even in early 2018. King Khan shot for the show for a few days in August.

Bollywood’s penchant of churning some excellent movies in every genre is what makes it one of most famous industries in the entire world. While a good romantic flick or an exciting action movie sure serves the purpose of absorbing a viewer’s time, some movies revolve around psychopath characters which make for a pretty thrilling watch. Here’s a list of some of the most well-crafted movies that revolved around a psychopath lead:

1. Darr

SRK nailed it like no one else. Until today, ‘Kkkkirannn’ is an iconic dialogue. Be it his madness for Kiran in the amazing songs or his obsession to have her only to himself, Shah Rukh as a psychopath paved way for many more roles that were portrayed by other actors but were obviously heavily influenced by his iconic character.

2. Kaun

Urmila might be out of the acting scenario right now, but her character in ‘Kaun’ was truly terrifying. She plays a psychopath who initially won’t allow a stranger (Manoj Bajpayee) to enter the house, but eventually things take a strange turn. Definitely one of her creepiest and most amazing performances.

3. Gupt

Kajol easily passes off as the innocent best friend with bizarre plans to achieve her one-sided love at any cost. The movie was pretty cool at the time when it was released and she was one of the few actresses who decided to take up this role and even nail it down to the last detail.

4. Raman Raghav 2.0

Possibly one of the best flicks of its kind in recent times. Nawazuddin Siddiqui knows exactly how to wear the skin of a terrifying character with ease.

5. Dushman

One can easily call Ashutosh Rana a man of perfection. He is clearly underrated but a critically acclaimed actor of insane calibre. His psychopath character’s obsession with Sonia and Naina, two sisters was creepy and gruesomely honest.

6. Agni Sakshi

Starring Nana Patekar, Manisha Koirala and Jackie Shroff in the lead roles, the story tells the tale of a married woman who is claimed by Nana to be his wife, even though she is already married.

There are several more movies that had some amazing performances by actors who essayed the role of a psychopath and in the next list, we’ll list out the most iconic Hollywood movies that revolved around psychopath characters. Until then, this should help you with some much needed thrill.

After “Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?”, if there’s anything that broke the internet with equal intensity, it’s “Happy Birthday Prabhas” or “#HBDDarlingPrabhas”. Fans have been flooding the social media with wishes and prayers for the actor, who turned 38 today. And as for Prabhas, who is at the center-stage of this discussion, he is surely on cloud nine as the first look of his upcoming film ‘Saaho’ also released today.

Following the footsteps of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and hoping to achieve similar success, the makers of this movie chose his birthday to release the first look and we are not complaining at all. Prabhas looks amazing in this mysterious and intriguing avatar.

The moment you see the big man in black dressed in a long coat with a scarf covering half his face, walking down the misty road against the backdrop of skyscrapers; you know that you wouldn’t want to miss this. Is it just me or is there anyone else who feels that Prabhas looks like a desi ‘James Bond’ or a doppelganger of Sherlock Homes. After giving an exceptional performance in ‘Baahubali’, Prabhas is all set to stun us all with his never seen before avatar in this action thriller that is being shot in both Hindi and Telugu.

The movie also stars Shraddha Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Neil will play Prabhas’ archenemy in the movie. The teaser that was released earlier this year had already created ripples on social media, and if you by any chance missed that out, you can watch it here.

On one hand where Prabhas’ fans are going gaga over him, Ryan Gosling’s fans don’t seem to be too impressed and are criticizing his avatar which looks heavily copied or ‘inspired’ from that of ‘Blade Runner 2049’.

Yes, the same foggy road with both men walking in a black outfit; this uncanny resemblance is hard to miss. And we guess we weren’t the first ones to notice this ‘inspired’ look, fans were quick to notice the similarity between the action flick and the sci-fi movie.

So folks which side are you at – Team Prabhas or Team Ryan Gosling?

The movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Chunky Pandey and Mandira Bedi in important roles. This movie is special for various reasons and one of them is the fact that this one will be Prabhas’ first films after long years of working for SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’, during which he did not work on any other project. ‘Saaho’ is an action thriller directed by Telugu filmmaker Sujeeth Reddy and is scheduled for a 2018 release.

We have grown up watching ‘The Rock’ do a lot of things. From thrashing the life out of people both in the ring and in movies, he is more than a social figure. He is known to be a man with a wonderful heart who not only gives fitness goals a new name, but also lights up the lives he touches. There are a select few celebrities who use their image to make this world a positive place by motivating and influencing their fans, and Dwayne is definitely on that list.

Unforgettable and inspiring day. #HoldOn 🇺🇸

A post shared by therock (@therock) on Sep 11, 2017 at 9:45pm PDT

One such amazing association that has stood out on Dwayne’s social media has been his love and affection for Vancouver in Canada.  He’s often shared his tales of struggle and how the city helped him reach where he is today.

Sometimes the goal we’ve worked our ass off for years is never achieved. Then years later we look back and realize, it’s the best thing that NEVER happened.

A post shared by therock (@therock) on Aug 9, 2017 at 8:19pm PDT

He is currently shooting for his movie in the same city and his movie project has generated more than 3,000 jobs for people living there, which is a huge number. To felicitate everyone’s beloved ‘The Rock’, the mayor of Vancouver, Gregor Robertson decided to declare 19th October as ‘Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’ day.

And big thanks @TheRock + team for making #Skyscraper movie in #Vancouver. 3000+ people working on set this week – phenomenal! pic.twitter.com/derbJTVu7o

“Yes, we do smell what The Rock is cookin, I, Gregor Robertson, Mayor of the City of Vancouver, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM OCTOBER 19, 2017 as DWAYNE ‘THE ROCK’ JOHNSON DAY”, the proclamation read. Dwayne was honoured in a quiet meeting and people didn’t get to celebrate until the announcement was made public by the star on his social media.

It’s official: The Rock Day. Such a cool (and bad ass) honor to have the Mayor of Vancouver, Gregor Robertson, present this proclamation to me last night on set. I’m a grateful man to be in the business of making big movies and entertainment that serve multiple purposes around the world. One of those critical purposes is providing jobs for thousands of hard working people, local businesses and economies every time we bring a production to town. Jobs and opportunities for people. And free waffles for me. Thank you Mayor and your staff for being so gracious and welcoming to myself and our entire production crew to your city. And thank you for this honor and thanks for being such a cool guy. Vancouver will always hold a special place in my DNA. Next time drinks on me.. #ItsOfficial #TheRockProc #October19th #Vancouver #TheRockDay ✊ðŸ?¾
