There are certain movies that don’t attract us irrespective of how many sequels it rolls out, and then we have movies like ‘The Incredibles’ which just like its name, are so brilliant that a mere announcement makes us jump off our beds in excitement.
It has been a long, long wait for the sequel and now that it’s finally happening, our inner child cannot contain all this excitement anymore. And I am sure I am not alone in jumping up and down like a kid. Come on guys, we waited for more than 14 years for this movie to release, and now that Disney has dropped this kickass teaser trailer, we guess our wait was totally worth it.
More than a decade ago, a family of incredibly talented, powerful superheroes came into our lives and turned it around like no one else. Well, maybe that’s an exaggeration I made there, but where else do you see a toddler burning the whole house down, quite literally. Or the kids going invisible and running on water. But, all of that happened in reel life in a span of two hours, and our movie watching experience was never the same again.
Although the teaser was short-lived, 1-minute-30-seconds to be precise; it does not take away from the fact that this was the best 1-minute-30-seconds we spent the whole day. The trailer was released during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics coverage on NBC sports last night. By the looks of the first teaser, the movie will show the Elastigirl (Helen Parr) in all her glory and badassery, while Mr. Incredible will stay at home and take care of the kids.
Well, good luck taking care of Jack Jack, Mr. Incredible, and feel free to take notes from Kari McKeen, his babysitter. Especially, when we have already seen all the evit sh*t Jack Jack is capable of stirring up.
The latest trailer also hints at Mr. Incredible asking for tips from our fashion idol Edna Mode, who rolls out her two cents in the most kickass style, just the way we expected it to be.
The first teaser leans more towards family drama and Elastigirl taking over the world, but we fans know that there’s definitely something brewing in the background that will be revealed soon.
We have complete faith in you Brad Bird, we know you are going to helm it to perfection, yet again. ‘The Incredibles 2’ is expected to hit the theatres on June 15, 2018.
