Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is said to be one of the most expensive movies in India till date. It goes without saying that Thalaiva’s fan can’t wait for the release of this film. And what makes us even more excited is the fact that we get to see Akshay Kumar in a new avatar alongside Rajinikanth firing the screen together with their sheer talent. It’s like having best of both the worlds!
While we just can’t think of anyone other than legendary Rajinikanth playing Chitti’s character, not many know that he had some other plans in mind before he decided to don this role once again.
In a recent interview with a leading channel, Aamir Khan shared that Rajinikanth wanted him to play the lead in the film as the actor thought he wasn’t in best of his health to do so himself. He further added that however, he turned down the request as in his views no one other than Rajinikanth could have done this role better.
“I told Shankar that I will not be able to do it, and only Rajini sir could do this film. I have already seen the first part and I have loved it. I am a huge fan of Rajini sir, and because of the impression that I got from that film, I couldn’t imagine myself or anyone else in the lead role apart from Rajini sir for 2.0. So I didn’t do it. It wasn’t a tough decision for me because I know that it is going to be a super hit in all languages,” he revealed.
Well, we are still trying to wrap our heads around this piece of information, Aamir as Chitti? 2.0 is all set to hit the screens in January 2018 and is a sequel to 2010 superhit film ‘Enthiran’.
