2017 was one of the best years for horror genre lovers where movies like ‘It’ and ‘Annabelle: Creation’ sent chills down our spine like no one else. It seems like 2018 won’t be taking it easy on the fainthearted either, thanks to the lineup of some creepy and eerily haunting movies that are expected to release this year. And the trailer of Lucy Hale’s ‘Truth or Dare’ is the perfect example of what we are talking about.

The game of truth or dare needs no introduction. It is undoubtedly one of the best games we ever played in our growing years – when parties with friends meant sitting at someone’s house, spinning a bottle of cold drink and asking hilarious questions and daring them with random challenges. As we grew old, our questions and tasks turned raunchier and nastier, and we started spinning beer bottles instead.

The point is, playing truth or dare is usually fun and embarrassing, but Blumhouse Productions and Universal are here to show the brutal and deadly side of this seemingly harmless game that anyone has ever seen. Trust us, after watching this trailer, you will be scared to even spin that bottle let alone dare anyone.

“I’m okay with strangers dying if it means I get to live,” no we are not saying this. It is how the trailer started and we can say that it’s pretty much the premise of the movie too. A bunch of friends sit together for a casual game of truth or dare and things soon turn deadly when they realize that there is no escaping from it. You can either ruin each other’s lives by revealing their darkest secrets or kill them or meet your cruel death; there is no middle path for the ones involved.

Jason Blum, who has earlier given us movies like ‘Paranormal Activity’, ‘Insidious’, ‘Get Out’, and ‘Split’ is back with this eerily scary movie ‘Truth or Dare’ starring Lucy Hale, Tyler Posey, Violett Beane, Nolan Gerard Funk, and Landon Liboiron as a bunch of college students who were duped into playing this deadly game, and soon find themselves running away from some supernatural power trying to kill anyone who tries to escape the game.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, ‘Truth or Dare’ is expected to release on April 27, 2018.
