It’s always refreshing to see new on-screen couples, especially in a film that has ‘simplicity’ at the core of it. So when we learned about the upcoming film ‘Sui Dhaga’ starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma, we were beyond excited to see what the duo has in store for us.

Recently, we got our first look at their characters in the film- Mauji and Mamta, and it left us intrigued.

This came as a surprise because first, this is the first time these two actors will be sharing screen space and secondly, because we have never seen them in this avatar. Seeing Varun with his old-school moustache and retro shirt and a plain salwar-kameez clad Anushka made us believe that if not anything else, this movie is definetly going to be relatable one.

Reinstating this fact, Yash Raj Films posted another photo of the two from the sets of the film.

It shows an evidently exhausted looking Varun Dhawan riding a bicycle with Anushka Sharma sitting at the back. Although that’s a part of the everyday routine for a lot of people in the country, what is not normal is riding a cycle for 10 long hours. But Varun and Anushka did just that for the film in the scorching heat of Chanderi.

Take a look:

While that must have been hard on both of them, Varun also injured himself while shooting for a scene that needed him to tumble down a flight of stairs. Well, whosoever thought acting is easy and all glamorous should take note of this.

The film is inspired by the ‘Make in India’ campaign and is set for a 28th September release this year. And we definitely can’t wait to see how the actors’ hard work bears fruit.
