Ever since the trailer of Salman Khan-starrer ‘Tubelight’ was released, two things have been primarily doing the rounds. First is the unmatchable bond shared by real-life brothers Salman and Sohail on-screen, and second is Salman’s goofy, innocent and funny side that has been winning hearts across the country. Having said that, there’s one thing that most of us have been thinking about, why was Sohail chosen to play Salman’s on-screen brother? Had the chemistry been same if someone was shortlisted for the role? Well, director Kabir Khan and the two Khan bhais have answered the question for you.

A video titled ‘Bhai Ka Bhai’ was posted by the makers of ‘Tubelight’, where the two brothers opened up about taking up the role. Talking about ‘Tubelight’, Kabir Khan said, “The moment you see them on screen, you don’t have to spend time in establishing sibling bonding. You know, one shot and the audience is already convinced that these two are brothers. They are very close to each other.” When asked about his baby brother, Salman said “There was no better choice than Sohail for this film because he is my brother. We understand each other. If there was an emotional scene, it was natural for us to display emotions.”

Sohail too added in the conversation stating that, “Salman Bhai mentioned Tubelight to me. They wanted someone who wouldn’t just play the character of his brother but also felt the character. He is my younger brother in the film but he is also someone who adores his elder brother and protects him for certain reasons.” The movie is slated to release on June 23. But, we are sure Sohail must have loved to play the role, because who wants to miss the chance of schooling their elder brother even if it’s on-screen.

While the two brothers are slaying it onscreen with their cute relationship, some of us will be still fighting with our siblings over the remote or who gets to laze on the couch while watching TV. However, we loved the duo even when they were fighting against each other to win Priyanka Chopra’s heart in ‘God Tussi Great Ho’. Also how can we forget their hilarious avatar when they were trying to impress Katrina with their funny antics in ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?’

Our society loves two types of heroes – one who works for the betterment of people and helps bring justice in real life; and the other who fights the evils breeding in a parallel world, romances his lady love and entertains us with his antics on screen. Time and again our beloved Bollywood actors have placed themselves in both ‘real life’ and ‘reel life’ shoes and evolved as role models the world loves to follow. From Shah Rukh Khan to Irfan Khan, Aamir Khan to Akshay Kumar, most of them have done their bit to give back to society. Now, actor Sushant Singh Rajput has joined the bandwagon of philanthropists and will be providing free education to the underprivileged kids.

“My team is working on the idea where we are selecting a group of schools, and we will take a merit test of the kids,” Sushant said, according to a report published in Hindustan Times. He further added, “If the kids pass the exam, we will take care of their education cost for a year.” While talking about his initiative, he said that the kids will have to sit again for the test to get free education. Sushant thinks that this process will make students more competitive, and excite and encourage them to study more. Further, he feels that every kid has a right to basic education and we second his opinion.

Sushant credits his mother for making him realize the importance of education, “My mother always taught me that we educate our children not to become a doctor or engineer, but the impact of basic education reflects on their thought process and decision making.” He further believes that even if one is getting into a profession like acting, their basic education will open their minds and make them think analytically. We truly respect you Sushant for such wise thoughts. “Therefore, I have taken this small step towards providing basic education to deserving children.”

The actor is currently busy in the promotions of his upcoming film, ‘Raabta’ which will hit the theatres on June 9.

Actor Akshay Kumar might have acted in some shady AF movies back in the day during the beginning of his career, but fast forward to the present and we can bet there is no one in the tinsel town, who is as badass and extremely talented as him. Barring movies like ‘Singh Is Bling’ and ‘Housefull 3’, he has delivered some of the remarkable movies in the past couple of months. ‘Airlift’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Rustom’, all these movies have proved their mettle in the Bollywood industry, and a major chunk of credit goes to Akshay Kumar and his exceptional acting skills. He even got a National Award for his portrayal of naval officer KM Nanavati in ‘Rustom’. Well, now the Bollywood Khiladi wants to play the role of K Vijay Kumar, the cop behind the killing of one of the most feared criminals of his time, Veerappan.

During the launch of a book titled ‘Veerappan – Chasing the Brigand’, Akshay was asked about the role he prefers the most of the two. He said, “Both Veerappan and Vijay Kumar’s characters are really interesting but I would love to play the role of Vijay Kumar because the whole planning has been done by him and how brilliantly he executed the entire operation.” Honestly, if a movie is made on Veerappan anytime soon, we don’t think there is anyone who deserves this role more than Akshay Kumar. The book has been written by Kumar himself, who headed the Tamil Nadu Special Task Force that put Veerappan to death in 2004. Akshay took to Twitter to share this joy with his fans.
